It's not awful, but it tastes frugal. I arrived at Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) on Sunday (around 12:20PM). Parking is easy. The lot is very big. My immediate impression of the location's interior is "abandoned warehouse." There's cardboard boxes lying about; the lights are dim & gloomy; and the furniture & walls looked old and poorly maintained. There were no customers, other than myself. Staff zipped out from the back when I'd entered. There's no self-service kiosks, so customers order at the counter. Staff is friendly and welcoming. After receiving my drink, Staff vanished into the back for the entire time. The drink took one minute and six seconds. Fast!! As mentioned, the Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($5.50) with Boba (additional 79 cents) is not awful. It's big, cheap, and thirst-quenching. Although the boba lacked any perkiness, I did appreciate its very small sweetness. Concerning the ambiance, it felt sad. Chairs had mysterious black stains, dust & webs gripped the windows' corners, yellow & aged plants lazed about, and lights stayed dimly lit like a haunted house. However, there's utility. Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) has six electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details on the plastic countertop. And there's a restroom for customers. In addition, the floors and tables are fairly clean. Overall, Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) feels like a forgotten relic of time. At the very minimum, it's an adequate establishment. Lots of space in the dining room and a lot of people on laptops using WiFi. Pretty chill vibe. Nice cashier. I came here because they have strawberry bits which is what my sister hoped for. Kitchen is hidden and I felt like it was kind of a lot of waiting without seeing progress. I prefer to see the drinks being made (just personal preference). I'm not sure if they do pumps but when I asked for a passion fruit black tea, she said it only came as a green tea. I went in with a vague idea of what I was creating. All I had was vibes. The woman at the counter made some suggestions and I settled on the Iris Peach Lemonade. My only gripe was that I finished it too quick. Do they offer this in a 30oz?? Obviously, you get your usual milk tea drinks with their unique almond milk tea, but they also have a table with flyers of other businesses. It helps promote other businesses but you also get an introduction to other places in the area while you enjoy your drinks. I love how spacious this Almond Haus is, it has a very clean and pure feeling to it. In addition to advertising for other businesses, they also sell mystery boxes and ramen if you want food to go along with your drinks. My husband loves their almond milk tea and it's his usual go to. I'm slowly going through their menu because I want to try them all. They also have stamp cards, so don't forget to ask for one. The best thing about this Almond Haus is it hosts a lot of events. I mostly attend their LADS events, which also includes a unique drink for that event, but they also host other things like a candle making activity and more. We got; -Almond hazelnut iced coffee. This cute boba shop is located in the same plaza as Sprouts and has plenty of parking. The inside is spacious with a good amount of seating. I came back to try the Taro Tea with Boba after Marie responded to my last review and clarified that drinks should be topped off if we get them plain with no toppings. I've had taro drinks where the flavor is slight, boba isn't as fresh, or both, but Almond Haus knocked it out of the park with this as far as taste, freshness, and price is concerned. Came in on a Friday afternoon. I don't know if it's just me but the day I came in, one of the workers were so rude. I was waiting to order and the girl came up and just stood there. "Spill the tea" is hung on their wall in the back. Apparently they meant it literally because their failure to seal my beverage correctly caused me to spill the tea in my new car. First off, I want to say I have been a fan of Almond Haus, the original location, for over a decade. My college friends and I would go for mini adventures between our classes to enjoy their beverages, and not available at this location, but also their exotic Vietnamese ice cream flavors. I was SO EXCITED to see them opening in Claremont, perfectly located on my route coming back from my Barre Studio and my parent's home. Apparently this was too good to be true. I ordered 2 Vietnamese Coffees ($5.75/each) and 2 Taro Milk Tea ($5.25/each) for my parents and their friends. I got my usual Jasmine Sea Salt Caramel Tea ($5.25). The drinks took a really long time to prepare. It seemed like they were preparing some large order into a cooler so they may have been rushed and cutting corners. The first red flag was when these folks before me got two purple drinks called out as a taro milk tea and a Thai tea smoothie. Why is a Thai tea smoothie purple? The recipient was shocked and asked her partner to ask them about it. He didn't seem to be milk tea savvy but I reassured her that Thai tea should be orange. The staff was all shocked at their mistake... but I was thinking to myself even if the person in the back made the wrong drink, how did the person who handed them the drink SAY a PURPLE drink was a Thai tea? No QC! When I got my 5 drinks, they asked if I needed a carrier. Umm... duh! How else will I carry 5 drinks? The real insult was when their poorly sealed lid caused a spill of that sea foam and caramel onto my seat. GROSS!! Good thing I had wet wipes and cleaning supplies on hand to take care of this. I was able to clean the surface but obviously some of it seeped into the chair. First spill is always the most painful for a new car. I QC-ed my reactions with my friends and they agreed I had a right to be annoyed and they would be upset if the spill happened in their older cars. Just for the record my mom made this disgusted face saying the drink was too sweet. My drink was too sweet too. Very unlike the original location. The quality is not up to par as the original location and I am thoroughly disappointed. I need some space before I might consider trying them at a subsequent time. ~~ I like how the business replied and addressed the sweetness and not how their failure to seal the cup caused a spill in my car, or how they were slow, or how their team messes up on customer orders. read more

Found this cute spot on our way to visit our banker in the area. It is surprisingly long and spacious. The ambiance is modern, light, and airy. We loved the hanging plants too. I had one of their Flavored Teas, flavors offered being pretty standard and pricing actually quite reasonable at $5.25 for maybe a 16-20oz drink? Boba/ tapioca pearl portion was a bit stingy however. Tea flavor was pronounced enough at 50% sweet, but the drink could have been mixed/ shaken better but at least you know they put actual bits of fruit in. I believe this is a chain as the name rings a bell. This chain is not as common place though and quality holds up well at this location.
