Almond Haus Coffee & Strawberry Basil Lemonade
    Angela N.

I've noticed the past few times I've come the drinks haven't been as good. I ordered an Original Almond Haus Coffee and my husband got a Strawberry Basil Lemonade. Both drinks I have had many times before. The coffee had a weird sour aftertaste. I couldn't even finish it. The strawberry basil lemonade just tasted like a regular lemonade with no hints of basil.

I'm still pretty new to the Ontario area, so checking this place out was one of the best experiences. Obviously, you get your usual milk tea drinks with their unique almond milk tea, but they also have a table with flyers of other businesses. It helps promote other businesses but you also get an introduction to other places in the area while you enjoy your drinks. I love how spacious this Almond Haus is, it has a very clean and pure feeling to it. In addition to advertising for other businesses, they also sell mystery boxes and ramen if you want food to go along with your drinks. My husband loves their almond milk tea and it's his usual go to. I'm slowly going through their menu because I want to try them all. They also have stamp cards, so don't forget to ask for one. The best thing about this Almond Haus is it hosts a lot of events. I mostly attend their LADS events, which also includes a unique drink for that event, but they also host other things like a candle making activity and more. Highly recommend coming here to experience their events. Their drinks are just a plus!

Vietnamese Iced Coffee + Year of the Dragon Tea

I enjoyed the ambience of the cute cafe! It was actually pretty empty and looked clean! There was only one worker there & she was pretty helpful. I originally wanted an Iced Matcha Latte, but they were out?! I was so sad! But I ended up getting the Vietnamese Coffee. It was pretty strong & sweet. I wouldn't get it again since it left me all jittery lol! Too much caffeine haha! I would definitely try their teas if I come back. (:

Almond Haus has such amazing ratings and now I understand why. The space is open and inviting and although there wasn't a lot of staff, people welcomed me in as soon as I walked in the store. One of the people told me about promotions they were having, welcomed me to follow them on social media and helped me order based on what I was craving. My husband ordered a Dragon fruit mango tea and I ordered a strawberry basil lemonade. They were both so refreshing and beautiful to look at. I'm excited to come back and try other drinks when I am in the area!

Great music, refreshing drinks, and a fun vibe! Definitely coming back to try more :))

On a quick lunch break from work, I decided to drive over here to pick up a drink. After talking to the workers, I decided to go for the dragon fruit mango with boba. The tea flavor was good and boba is okay. After chatting with the workers more, I got a few brochures and coupons for future orders and possible fundraiser opportunities. Next time I might want to try something creamy. If I lived in the area i would stop by more often since this place is a decent, quiet place to study.

Stopped by on Saturday, 08/24/24 around morning time. Ordered the following to-go: - 1 Matcha Haus Latte (25% sweet) = $7.35 / with oat milk = $0.75 SUBTOTAL = $8.10 TAX = $0.77 TOTAL = $8.87 I was the only customer during the time. Extremely huge place and very clean and modern. I love the overall atmosphere here; tables and chairs looked polished. Great place to take some insta photos. I will say my drink was a bit pricey but overall great.

I have had Almond Haus bookmarked for a while. Finally, I went today! The place is spacious and very clean. It is a cozy coffee shop. The seats are very comfortable. We got; -Almond hazelnut iced coffee. It was rich, well balanced flavor of coffee and hazelnut. -Strawberry smoothie was indulgent with perfect amount of sweetness. -Hibiscus lemon tea, it was the perfect drink for a hot day. It was very refreshing. The service was excellent. It is a nice place to hangout. I am glad I came and will be back soon

Stopped by again for another event and am still happy with my experience here. The employees are still very friendly and welcoming. Service is fast despite the amount of people ordering. Parking remains a non-issue. Previously, I was disappointed with the overabundance of ice, but that's a noticeable improvement this visit. I still feel like the prices of the event's drinks are more expensive than they need to be, but the drinks and fun atmosphere make up for it. I stand by my original review - they're worth a visit if you're nearby!

Parking: Pretty spacious, easy to find parking. Interior: Great place to study with your friends. There are plenty of clean tables and the interior aesthetic is minimalistic. Dragonfruit Mango Tea: SO GOOD! I've never tasted a drink like this before, there is a right balance of dragonfruit and mango flavor. It's the standard amount of sweetness, so for people who are used to getting 50% sweetness, I would recommend 75%. Wintermelon Sea Salt Tea with Crystal Boba (50% sweetness): Crystal boba was a good substitute to bring a nice bounce to chewy boba. Wintermelon Sea Salt Tea is a drink I get when you want something between a light fruity drink and a heavy dairy drink.

Most of the time, everything is great, but lately, I've noticed it can be a bit of a hit or miss--I either have a wonderful experience or a really tough one. Why I keep coming back: Their food is genuinely delicious. They have really good sandwiches and so many great options if you're hungry. Also, a little insider tip: if you're feeling under the weather and want something better than a Starbucks Medicine Ball, order the Remedy Tea. It is so soothing and I highly recommend it! My recent experience: On my last visit, things felt a bit off. The staff seemed really rushed--they actually started making our drinks while we were still in the middle of ordering. Because of the rush, they missed my milk modification and the drink ended up being way too sweet, to the point where I couldn't really drink it. What saddened me most was that the cashier was pretty rude and dismissive toward us. We actually felt so uncomfortable that we didn't even want to ask for a remake, so we just headed out. I truly love the menu here and the vibe when it's "on," but I really hope the service gets back to that friendly, welcoming energy I fell in love with.

There's a set of steps with pillows on each step with a block of about six outlets beside them, and a really comfy, sinky couch (plus an ottoman and two comfy looking armchairs and a big table in the middle) with a set of two outlets on the wall and a star shaped power strip sticking out of the ground with six outlets coming out of it. There are also regular tables and it seems like there are outlets beside them as well. WIFI: The wifi is open (no password necessary), even though they have a password listed where you pick up your food (it's just Sanctuary Coffee). I tried to use one of the locked ones (the only one that made sense), but the wifi password didn't work, so I'm not sure why they have one listed. Regardless, albeit not the fastest wifi I've ever used, it's incredibly doable. I have been working remote here for 1.5 hrs and had almost no issues. MENU: For LA, relatively cheap. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so I got the peach Italian soda, which was yummy. I believe it was about $4.89, which is not bad at all. I went to And Destroy in the Highland Park-ish area, and I believe an Italian soda with cream (cream is free here) was maybe $7-8. I'm used to paying more for drinks because the specialty (non coffee and tea) drinks are usually pricey, but this was one of the cheapest things on the menu. Also, you can claim a free pastry with your email and first name on their website (it sends you a voucher, just show the email). I got the banana bread, which was fine. I would've gotten zucchini, but it wasn't chocolate chip zucchini. ATMOSPHERE: Not too loud, the music is nice and chill and not very loud. There's cute art on the walls and homey looking lamps. It's the quintessential living room coffee shop, perhaps even rivaling Republik Coffee in Burbank in comfiness, noise level, aesthetic, and price (which is a bummer, because I likely will never be back - we just happened to be in North Pomona today, and I have no idea when we'd ever elect to drive this far again LOL). PARKING: It's in a little strip mall, so there's an actual aboveground lot with plenty of free parking (at least I think it's free, I got dropped off so I didn't pay much attention). Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking to cowork in a cozy atmosphere for relatively cheap in the North Pomona area. It checks all of my boxes except distance from home. I hope this review helps someone, because I always try to find this information on Yelp about new places to visit and it can be very difficult to find! BATHROOM: I believe there are two single person bathrooms like not stalls just one bathroom. Cute art and aesthetic inside, there are hooks on the walls for your stuff. The air dryer was not very strong and there were no paper towels or seat covers, but other than that there was a nice faucet and cute nice soap like homey soap you'd see in someone's house, and the lock worked fine.

The first time around, I tried the mango cold brew. I was skeptical at first at the combination of ingredients because I initially thought, "there's no way that mango and coffee can be a thing!". Well, apparently they can be! This beverage was well balanced between the cold brew, the cold foam, and the mango flavoring. The second time, I had gotten an iced matcha latte with a splash of vanilla and that was also delicious! Apparently, the must-haveitem is the iced latte, so I'll be sure to try this out next time and update my review accordingly. I imagine it's going to be OUTTA THIS WORLD! The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. There's about four interior tables, but there's also 16 outside patio tables. The location is clean, well-maintained, and well ventilated. Overall, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a good, local neighborhood spot. It offers affordable choice that are prepared "good enough." I wouldn't drive a long distance for this spot, but it's a decent option if you're already nearby. 4.5 out of 5
