I've purchased two scooters from Ooty's, first from the original Ooty, Chris, and now from his son Ryan. Both are wonderful to work with because this has to be the best job ever! I also always take my bikes here (mostly on schedule) for quick and reliable service. They're fair and honest. My scooter is my main source of transportation so I need to keep it running and problem free. Ryan and his mechanic Ryan always get me what I need. I've also purchased scooter covers, riding helmets and other gear and accessories from the shop. Ooty's has lots of bike options for everyone's style and needs! Santa Barbara is the perfect town for scooter riding and I would recommend Ooty's to anyone.

We completed the paperwork online, and a few days later made the long drive out to Santa Barbara (we're not locals). We arrived close to closing time, but the staff was still incredibly welcoming and helpful. They didn't rush us at all and even took the time to fully inspect the bike with us before letting us take it home. I don't usually have the best experiences at dealerships, but this one was genuinely a pleasant surprise. The whole process felt smooth, straightforward, and honestly stress-free--which is rare in my experience.

I had a very disappointing experience with Wheels in Motion of Santa Barbara. The issue wasn't…read moreabout the money--it was about integrity. I purchased a 2024 KTM 1290 Adventure R with the understanding that it included a 15% discount on the Tech Pack and heated grips. When I inspected the bike before taking delivery, I immediately noticed there were no heated grips installed. I asked Erik, my salesman, where they were, and he claimed he didn't remember us ever discussing them. After my test ride, Erik told me, "Let's load it up," and said he'd speak with his manager. When I asked again about the heated grips, he shook my hand and told me, "We'll ship them to you." I asked for something in writing, and he assured me to come inside because they'd take care of it. About 30 minutes later, he came back and completely changed his story, saying they never had that conversation and there was nothing he could do. I then spoke with Steve, the sales manager. He told me he could usually tell when his salespeople weren't being truthful and assured me he would make it right. He said he would contact Clawson Honda in Fresno to have heated grips installed and gave me his word that he'd handle it the next day. A few days later, I called Steve for an update. He told me he needed to speak with Carl, the general manager, and that Carl would call me the following day. That call never came. About a week later, I contacted Carl myself. He asked what it would take to make things right, and I explained that I simply wanted the heated grips that both Erik and Steve had already promised me. About 30 minutes later, Carl called back and said that "based on the facts," there was nothing they could do. The heated grips cost around $200. Instead of honoring the commitments made by both the salesperson and sales manager, the dealership chose to lose a customer over a relatively small expense. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a business handles them. I wasn't upset that the grips weren't installed--I was disappointed that three different levels of management reassured me they would make it right, only to backtrack on their promises. If integrity and standing behind your word matter to you, I would think carefully before doing business with Wheels in Motion Santa Barbara.

While goleta has seen shops come and go, Precision has remained as strong as ever. Personal service is top notch. Unlike huge dealerships which have huge overhead which gets passed on to you, Precision passes their savings on to you. I brought in a pair of custom wheels that needed an expert installer to mount, as they were custom painted. The big shop down the street wouldn't touch them. Danny and Mitchell handles them like a boss with no damage! And, they did it while I waited. Who does this? Precision does! So next time you need anything bike related, come down and talk to these guys. When other places say no, or have sky high prices, precision will strike a one two punch, and knock the other guys down. As an extremely skilled mechanic, I can appreciate the time these guys take on bikes. As a matter of fact I wouldn't let anyone else touch my bike if I'm too busy to adjust valves, or mount tires. Take your bike to the only place I trust, Precision!

He said "I dont know anything about older bikes like that so I can't help you." Ok. Strange since everyone talked about how much hey knew about bikes. Could he have someone just go over it? Check the plugs, wires, fluids, filters? No. He just didn't know these bikes, he said. A guy that's been around since this bike was NEW didn't know how to check fluids on it? Strange. It's not like I was rude or demanding. I just called and introduced myself and asked if he could help. "Do you know anyone else in the area that could help me with my bike?" I asked him after being shot down. "No. No not really," Dan told me. And that was that. My only attempt to do business with him was over. Don't know if I caught this guy on a bad day or what, but this experience was a head scratcher. I hope the world is better to him than he was to me on this particular day.
