I asked for an estimate for only what needed to be done. I got a new estimate of $1200. The $1200 estimate, for PA inspection mind you, included $408 to replace VALVE COVER GASKETS, plus $580 to replace the upper left control arm. The $580 was based on $442 for the part that I could buy on Ebay...the OEM part... for $40. Buyer beware.

I had to get my bumper replaced. This place is on the StateFarm approved, blah blah blah list. They…read moredid a nice job on the bumper, and gave me an extra bottle of the paint that they used in case I need it in the future. I am satisfied with the work on the car and they even washed and vacuumed it. But, a few things I need to mention: My car was not done on time, and I ended up having to go get it a day late. This was NBD for me, but I could see it being a problem for someone else. Statefarm told me that they would come pick up my car at my house and bring it back when they were done, they said that is just not true and no one really does this (maybe that should be a comment for statefarm, not Pittsburgh Collision). Their parking lot is super tiny and a major pain to get in and out of during rush hour. Overall, I am satisfied, and the issues I had were minor, really they didn't even bother me, but I could see someone else getting bent out of shape about them.

Was told cost would be at a minimum $3,000 and if not done may not pass inspection. Took to another local family owned, reputable garage for 2nd estimate (38th & Penn Ave 15201). The elderly owner looked at the door, went back into the garage, came out with a wooden block, placed it in door hinge, opened/closed door several times, removed block, pulled down in door with his body weight, closed door & it WAS FIXED!!!!!!! He told me "no charge" Lol. I gave him some cash and told him to buy himself a dinner up the Little Italy Days. Needless to say, Ill never go to Pittsburgh Collision for any service.
