UPDATED REVIEW! Another pleasant experience here! In the last week I had to get two MRIs done. Heidi of course was amazing! Today when I came, I wasn't feeling well and I vomited in the trash in the waiting room(yuck). Jedi brought me cold water, crackers and a wet rag. I can't begin to explain how amazing she is. Thank you for being so kind. The tech ( I think her name is Laurie) was so sweet and even held my hand while the table brought me under the machine. The ladies here really once again made my experience a breeze! I wouldn't go anywhere else! From the bottom of my heart, thank you thank thank you. I've been here several times in the last 2 years and I don't have one bad thing to say. Every time I come here, the staff is so nice & caring. They make me laugh & we crack jokes, it's nice. Even though it's "open" my anxiety still gets the best of me. My last visit was on Sept 5 & Heidi was the lovely lady in the front office. She reassured me everything will be ok and let the tech (David) know I may be a little nervous. When I went back to start the mri I met the tech David. He was very kind & understanding of my anxiety. I cant give these folks enough stars. I was there last night, my second time using them. They got me approved and scheduled and done in just a few days- AGAIN! They even called on the way to tell me they were AHEAD of schedule last night! The staff have all been very nice and helpful, Heidi especially! The Open-sided MRI is the best thing since sliced bread folks! 1000x better than being strapped down in a tiny noisy tube ... Yikes! Had MRIs before, last fall got a case of claustrophobia, now I will only go Open Sided if possible. High marks all around! read more

First review I've left on yelp. I feel it's necessary though. I am extremely claustrophobic and I made sure to let everyone know. The 2 ladies at the front desk were extremely caring and very nice. They were trying to talk me down to be calm when I went to the back. The gentleman in the back was nice and I thought the woman in the back was nice at first but when I told her I didn't like being in the machine and I couldn't do it. She kept asking if I wanted to try again and I expressed to her that I physically could not make myself get on the table again. As I walking out this same lady started laughing at me because I could do the mri. Now I'm out of a copay and I'm still in pain. Very unprofessional and extremely rude in my opinion. I am extremely claustrophobic and have had a difficult time in the past with having an MRI. My experience with Opensided MRI at 600 S Rancho was much more positive than any other lay down MRI experience I've had. Starting with Pricilla on the phone to make the appointment, all the way to the MRI technician, I was treated with kindness and respect. I was told how long the test would take and kept updated on how much longer the test would be going. I am incredibly grateful to have received my referral to this establishment, and recommend it highly to everyone, but especially to anyone suffering from claustrophobia. read more

Kind caring people Open sided MRI was great WONDERFUL experience.. well as good it could be given that it is my phobia!

My 17 year old son is in a program is Las Vegas and we live in Michigan. He injured his knee and was in need of an MRI. Open Sided MRI and its staff were able to get my son an appointment within 2 days and the cash price was very reasonable. They sent the report 15 hours after the MRI. Needless to say the service was exemplary and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. read more

This facility is very clean and the front desk people are pleasant and efficient. I have had several MRI's in the past and always had to be sedated. Not this time!!!! This want a great experience. The machine is white and bright. The sides are open and you can turn your head and see out at anytime. There is plenty of head room which seemed dome shaped so you don't feel enclosed. This is not a tube. It is open at the bottom and the top. My husband was allowed to be in the room and I could see him at anytime by turning my head. Jason was my MRI Tech. He was very reassuring and answered all of my questions. He took his time and made me feel like I was his only pt. of the day. I would never go anywhere else if I need another MRI. This was truly as good as it gets!!! read more

I went for an MRI of my right knee which my co pay was 425$ . I gave my bank card for transaction when attempted it did not go thru which happens with those machines sometimes so it was tried again and the same thing but when ran thru as credit it cleared . So I hit my mri left and left . I get to my bank and all three transactions went thru to my surprise leaving me with 200$ . I immediately go back only to be told over and over they I I got one payment they called the place in which they do business with due the cc machine and she says it only shows one payment there's no confirmation code so my money should be refunded in 24 hours the next business day .The whole time the mri tech who ran my card was nonchalant not very apologetic and faulting my bank . So I leave only to go to my bank on Saturday and find out I'm in the negative since 1245$was taken by open mri and my automatic bill pays for car insurance etc unable to go thru . This also left me with no cash or the ability to use my debit card all weekend .So here I am on Monday morning back in this office to meet with facility manager who is adamant it's my bank holding my money even raising his voice when I call my bank to speak to my representative who's has been involved since Friday . I'm still very calm but the total in bothered attitude was so aggravating frustrating beyond belief . It was they got their money and too bad for me . He never took ownership that his worker made an era . Long story short my-representative asked to speak to me off speaker and told me "to get him to write a letter on office letter head since it clearly looks like he is not giving you your money back "which he did but still not taking ownership they messed up and asking my bank to refund my money . No apology for the inconvenience of my time running back and forth nor did he even ask if I incurred any charges or fees . To make matters worse I forgot to add while waiting for this letter a receptionist came out gave two customers a bottle water and one that came in but I'm sitting there was overlooked and had to go to desk to ask for one . The letter was given not in envelope and again still no apology for my inconvenience. So to whomever may go there to get an mri take cash and beware if you don't !!!!! read more

After my last experience with MRI (panic attack) I knew I needed to not go into "the tube" again, so I asked PA about open sided and sure enough we have one (maybe more) here in LV! The day after seeing my doctor a prescription was written for the MRI, following day they called to set up my appointment! They are open seven days a week, very easy to work around your schedule! I went on a Sunday morning at 8 AM filled out the paperwork, was taken back for the MRI by a very caring man David, he pretty much put my fears at ease. I did take a Xanax to help my anxiety, in the future I will not need one as now I know what to expect. The machine was not loud at all, you could hear the noise but not overbearing. There was music playing in the background, the Beatles my favorite. David walked me through the whole process, step by step. Everyone in the office was very caring and So polite I recall speaking to Veronica, she was a great help plus listened to my concerns! Don't hesitate, go open sided MRI!! read more

One of the few MRI places that have 1.2 Tesla. For those that have metal in their bodies. In addition if you are claustrophobic the open sided is much easier on you. Add to that the competent , compassionate and friendly staff and I view it the best if Vegas. read more

Having an MRI when you have a bad back like I do is never fun where ever you go. I'm glad I got referred to Opensied MRI. The staff was attentive and freindly. Be prepared to wait a bit though cause they were busy! My appointment was at 5:30 and I didn't get in till 6:30. Not a big deal. When I got back to the machine the tech explained to me how it worked. I was sandwiched into the machine like a sausage! Even though I was under there for 35mins it was nice to get an option of radio station. The machine really wasn't very loud like I've experienced in the past. They made sure I was as comfy as I could be too. After it was all said and done they offered me a water or soda . (Nice door prize for being squished for 35 mins.) They did get my films out to me very quickly. Over all great experience as far as MRI's are concerned. read more

January 22, 2016 I had three MRI's performed at Open Sided MRI of Las Vegas. The technician was professional, courteous and friendly. The staff were easy to work with. That is the positive. Sadly, one of the three MRI's was unreadable by my specialist. When I spoke with the facility manager, Michael, I was told that since the test was performed and a report generated there was nothing they would do. He also stated that my specialist shouldn't try to read the MRI, that was for someone else to do. My insurance stated that the 'new health care regulations' (ie. Obamacare) require them to pay if the procedure was performed. It does not matter if it was readable/usable or not. They also do not want to authorize a second MRI on the same region (T-spine). Now I am stuck paying for an MRI that is unusable, and I still have the same problem with no diagnosis. read more

Okay so my husband had an early appointment this morning at opensided MRI. The appointment was scheduled for 0730 and we arrived around 0720. (It's suggested 30 min early). We were greeted by Nancy who was very kind. She brought out the documents we needed as well as explained what all needed to be signed and the contents of the paperwork. Then she brought the remote and allowed us to change the channel if we wanted. I was fine with Fox news so I just left it there. There is coffee provided of you like. This place is very welcoming from the moment you walk in. Immediately after completely the paper work Michael came out to take my husband back for his procedure. Silly him he had on a watch, his ring, and glasses. Michael explained that he would need to remove all of that before the procedure and Michael waited for him to do so. He wasn't iratated and I thought he would be as we have seen that a lot when we go to Steinberg Diagnostics. So I was worried about receiving the imaging and the report because sometimes it's hard to get that, but Michael assured me that he would be giving us the images on a disk upon completion of the procedure TODAY. OMG that has never happened before so I was pleasantly surprised. Nancy went on to offered me to pre-fill an envelope to put our address on and told me in about 24-48 hours they should have the report and to my surprise they send you a copy of the report. I felt like it must have been my b-day. I have never been to any doctor were everything just goes so right. I watched TV while my husbands procedure so I'm not sure how that part went, but I will be sure to have him give a review as to what that is like. He is not a fan of being on small spaces so I'm a little worried, but we will see how he feels when the procedure is over. Thank you NANCY AND MICHAEL!!!! Going to doctors appointment is not the most desired way to start your day, but it was a good start to ours. The most friendly and prompt service we've received during appointments. read more

Love the office. Office staff extremely friendly and helpful. Only critique I have is about the loudness of the MRI machine. Unbelievably deafening. I happen to be suffering from anxiety and depression and almost ( tried ) to walk out without completing an MRI that i most definitely need. To me MRI stands for Managing Reasoning Incorrectly...in other words, all reasoning goes out the window as I go "in the TUBE..." I know it is just a piece of equipment, but I honestly think the meanest machines at the shop become a typical MRI. I suffered through a cervical MRI in the TUBE at Henderson Hospital. The technicians were patient, thank God, because it took me 9 tries and a cold washcloth covering my eyes to endure. My claustrophobia stems from a childhood tragedy and it is here to stay. No amount of therapy or medication makes it any better. When the cervical results suggested a thorasic scan to further evaluate an issue, I broke down in tears. I took the referral, shoved it in my purse and prayed it would disappear...no such luck. A very nice lady at another doctor's office suggested open sided MRI. I unenthusiastically called and spoke with Heidi. She was fantastic! I had my demographics and referral faxed over on Tuesday afternoon. Heidi called me Wednesday to tell me she had my insurance verified and could make my appointment as early as Thursday evening. I made the appointment for Friday evening and promptly had a panic attack, just thinking about the TUBE. I was honestly shocked when I arrived. The reception area was clean and welcoming. Heidi was a gem! She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed and assured me my experience would be different. Different was a good word. The technician was super friendly and made me feel at ease. Instead of a TUBE, the machine allowed me to see the room in my peripheral vision and that made it much more bearable! It wasn't a picnic in the park by any means....that jackhammer noise is awful but it was only 25 minutes and the tech kept me informed of how much time was left every time the jackhammer stopped. If you're claustrophobic or just don't want to feel like you are being pushed through the play doh fun factory of life, this is the place for you! Thank you, Open Sided MRI!!!
