Wow, I read some people's review and my experience was definitely different from theirs. First,…read moreit's not Simon Meds fault if your insurance sucks and you should contact your doctor who requested the imaging to find out the outcome. The scheduler contacted me to schedule an appointment. I was not a fan of the scheduler because of the heavy Indian accent and lack of listening to me but I won't dock the stars on this location because of him. I arrived on time and waited. Apparently, a prior authorization was not done for my secondary insurance but luckily it was quick. Who's fault was that? They obviously had it on file but if they have an authorization department, that person didn't do their job. My tech was Gregory. He was very kind and sweet and I told him I was hesitant on visiting this location but glad I did because he made a difference with my experience. He talked me through my whole time there with what he was doing and waht he was going to do. I was able to get 2 blankets because I'm always cold. He also was patient while trying to get the contrast needle in. My veins are not the best but he managed to secure the needle on the second try. Thank you, Gregory, for your kindness, patience, and great rapport. Having someone who communicates well and makes you feel comfortable really does make a difference--especially when you're already nervous about having medical imaging done.

MRI PATIENTS BEWARE! I recently went to get a MRI done at this SimonMed Imaging center in Las Vegas…read moreand I had a horrible and very dangerous experience. I was told three times by a very young and very arrogant lab tech who did my MRI that I definitely DID NOT need to remove the two metal partial dentures in my mouth for my MRI even though my head would be inside the MRI machine during the MRI. The older and more experienced woman assisting this arrogant kid did not say a word while he insisted to me that I could and should wear my metal dentures in the MRI. Fortunately I did not listen to this idiot lab tech boy doing my MRI and I removed my metal dentures at the last minute before getting in the MRI machine. That decision might have saved my life I found out later. I have no idea how in the world something like this could ever happen, but it did. Fortunately I remembered from a previous MRI that ALL METAL needed to be removed from my mouth and my entire body to avoid DEATH OR SERIOUS BODILY INJURY!! I have since talked to several doctors and personal injury lawyers about this MRI experience and they all agree this was either total and complete incompetence by two SimonMed employees or maybe something much worse like racism!! The problem with wearing metal in a MRI machine is that it can not just screw up the tests and damage the MRI machine, IT CAN ALSO KILL YOU OR CAUSE SERIOUS AND PERMANENT BODILY HARM!!! How did this two SimonMed lab techs not know that?? Why would they try so hard to convince me not to remove my metal dentures!? What the hell is going at SimonMed imaging in Las Vegas? After waiting some time her name was called and I told him she was in the hallway (they had a couple chairs there) he grumbled something and went in the back. My mom then came back in and waited by the door until someone came back out. During that time the front desk lady comes out and hollers really loudly asking me if my mom had any implants or something else. I asked her to come closer, I'm not hollering personal information across a packed room. Also while waiting the same lady was placing her Starbucks order with someone. A patient went up to the counter and she had him wait while she finished her conversation. We had to go to a separate trailer in the back. Joseph helped us, he was very kind, shook his hand and made eye contact introducing himself. He's the best part of the experience. The trailer had trash on the floor and just wasn't setup well for more than one person. Joseph walked us back in for the last scam. We were taken to a different area. The lady had to give her some kind of iv fluid and let it sit. Woman said she had to go to the bathroom, the lady said she'd be right back. After a few minutes no one was coming back, so I went to look for someone. Another patient in the room showed me the bathroom. I think it's crappy if someone (especially a senior) says, "I have to go to the bathroom", and no one comes to direct them to where to go. They asked her to fill out a form and the same lady who never showed again for the bathroom also didn't collect the form. I asked the guy that brought her out what to do with it. He said turn it in at the front. Well I ended up in line behind someone who'd gotten the runaround multiples times. They don't even have the machine at their facility to do the scan he needed! He said it's the third time they've scheduled him there! Thankfully Joseph came out and I gave him the form. I'm not sure why someone would willingly go unless they had to. Between unclean spaces, and staff that needs to be retrained, it wasn't a great experience and I wouldn't recommend them. Thanks again to Joseph, but that doesn't erase the rest of the experience.

If you need to use the restroom you do have to ask the front desk for the key. My daughter went there for her first MRI and, as a parent, that can make you a little nervous because you are not sure how they will handle someone who has never done it before. The staff was very accommodating and took the time to explain the process to her so she knew what to expect. They were patient and made sure she felt comfortable before getting started. They also allowed me to be near the room to help her through the process, which I really appreciated. Those small gestures make a big difference when your child is going through something new or a little intimidating. Overall it was a positive experience and the staff made a situation that could have been stressful much easier.

Instead of issuing it their billing company MSN Healthcare Solutions actively attempted to collect an additional $262.35 I did not owe -- while simultaneously holding my money. My insurance company had to intervene four separate times over seven months to resolve this. Each time a refund deadline approached Pueblo submitted a new corrected claim deliberately resetting the clock. One claim was denied due to their own filing error. They ultimately reduced my refund through improper billing code unbundling. When I filed a BBB complaint their response repeatedly characterized this as a simple premature billing statement -- a dishonest minimization of a deliberate pattern of delay and predatory collection practices. They never took accountability. Know your rights as a patient. Verify every claim with your insurance company. Do not pay anything without confirming with your insurer first. What they did to me they are likely doing to others who don't know to fight back.

As per my previous review, it took me well over 2 weeks of constantly hounding Steinberg to get my results. I eventually filed a complaint after the 10th business day passed with no results. I spoke to a manager who sent an email asking that my results be read next. She advised me that they are extremely behind and that they no longer offer a timeframe of when your results will be ready because of how behind they are. Since this was over a month ago, i figured things would be smoothed out by now, and scheduled another MRI at Steinberg. This was a mistake. It's now been 2 weeks since I had my MRI and still, no results. My partner had an ankle xray at this facility and was given results within days, but the MRI's or more advanced tests seem to have an extremely delay. A lot of people visiting this clinic are dealing with life threatening illnesses, and it's heartbreaking to think that they're expected to wait WEEKS for their results. This seems to be Steinberg's new standard of care. The tech who did my MRI was a gem and I hope she is treated better as an employee than we are treated as their patients.

I'm…read morehighly claustrophobic, and also have an impossible time lying on my back due to severe back pain. My joy was short-lived. I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment, and was told by the unfriendly front-desk girl that I was late. No one had told me to be there earlier; I live way on the other side of town, and S. Maryland Pkwy. is completely ripped up. When I got home, there was a message on my phone half an hour before the appointment time asking where I was. The technician, Adriana, who did the MRI told me that I couldn't move at all during the test, not even during the time in-between the various sections of it. So I didn't, not one bit. She said if I did, the entire test would be invalidated. The room was also freezing, so she had put a sheet over my hands that were resting on a cube on my lap. She told me that she wouldn't be able to hear me, but if I needed help I should raise my hand. Wouldn't that then invalidate the whole test?? The last section of the test was the longest, seven minutes, she said. And when that ended, she said I was going to have to come back and have the entire MRI redone, because I had moved. I said I hadn't moved a muscle, so then she asked if I had taken a deep breath. I knew I had, so she said that was the reason. So why didn't she tell me not to take a deep breath along with the don't-move instruction that she kept repeating??? I was not about to do another 30+ mile round-trip to repeat the entire test and risk having to screw it up again if I did something as natural as breathing, so I told her to just have them send the report to the doctor as-is. She said she'd see what the doctor would do. And that led into a nearly week-long odyssey. I'd call every day and never get through. I had the tech's extension #, but it would ring three times and disconnect. On the rare occasion that I got to speak to the tech, she changed her tune and said I'd only have to repeat the last part. So which part of what she told me was true - repeat the whole test, or just the last part??? Totally untrustworthy. Once again, I told her that I wanted it sent the way it was. Finally, after six days, when I called and finally got through after another five attempts, she said the report had been sent to my doctor; I had her send it to me, which she did. From beginning to end, the unprofessionalism and lack of honesty of this facility is a deal breaker. I also had to have a different MRI, and chose an open-sided MRI facility. The difference in the way I was treated was like night and day, and I dealt with the back problem and the claustrophobia just fine, thanks to the skill and caring of the techs at the other facility (see my review). LV Radiology's Upright MRI isn't worth the trade-off. Unfortunately, they're pretty much the only game in town for an Upright, but it's not worth it. Better off to suck it up and go for an Open MRI. It was a horrible experience made even worse by the incompetence of everyone there.

I called again, two weeks after referral was sent and was again told they were still waiting for insurance. Today at three weeks I called and was told the same thing. When I called back to LV Radiology they said "Oh I see your insurance denied request" When I explained that couldn't be the case as no request had been received by insurance, I was told by LV Radiology , " it must have been an error, we are short staffed!!" I'm going to another imaging business.
