So today, I was running an errand near Koreatown (while wearing my broken sunglasses) so I turned to search Yelp to see if there was a sunglass shop that would be able to fix them today while I was already out. Fast forward - I go in and drop my sunglasses off because they said they can help me! The little knob slipped off of the nose piece - said it was a quick fix and within 15 minutes I was already back in with a fixed pair of sunglasses! They said no charge because it was such an easy fix and I just think that's such an example of great business and them not taking advantage of customers... Because of that, I will now be loyal to them, and no matter what I always rather shop local than buy online. Kudos to this shop for being honest, respectable and good businesspeople!

Dr. Chen spent a good amount of time with me and made sure that the new prescription was going to be perfect. I haven't picked up the new prescription yet, but I'm confident that it will be perfect. The staff member who took my order was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I'm able to keep my computer glasses while the lenses are readied; I just have to budget an hour for the lenses to be put into the frames. I was also very impressed with the store's lift for persons in wheelchairs or users of walkers, rollators, canes, etc.

Dixie greeted us and signed us in upon arrival. She explained what our insurance covered and helped us with our pre-visit with Dr. Kim. I am familiar with how most ophthalmology workflows are, and found her office to be very streamlined. She even asked if I needed to leave at any time so that she could expedite the process and left ample room for questions. Ophthalmology visits can be difficult and long at times due to the amount of testing and diagnostics that the technicians and doctors have to do. They offered samples for contacts for free, allowed me to take any other samples home, emailed me my RX, and sent all my information to my primary care physician and any other providers that I needed to see. I highly recommend Dr. Hayashi's practice to anyone who is seeking comprehensive eye care. I do believe they do refractions and you can pick out glasses and contacts. However, I was here for a medical necessary eye health exam so I didn't utilize that. The space is HUGE and there are many rooms. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a huge smile by the sweetest receptionist, who referred me to who I believe she said was her manager and one of the optometrists. He was super helpful and cool. I had to come back in later that day and they both remembered me, and the other optometrist who ended up finishing with me was so so great too. While I waited, I also browsed and tried on a bunch of their eyeglasses selection which was broad, stylish, and had a nice mix of basic and playful/whimsical. It's unfortunate this can't be my regular spot, but I have already referred them to all my NYC friends! Also... how can you not be charmed by the business name...
