We hadn't kept up with regular dental cleanings or brushing her teeth, so we were worried she would need several extractions. At her age, we were especially concerned about the risks of anesthesia. After reviewing her bloodwork, Dr. Dunphy reassured us that Gigi was a good candidate for the procedure and explained how much it would improve her comfort by relieving her mouth pain, making it easier for her to eat, and, thankfully, eliminating the bad breath that could clear a room! From the very beginning, Dr. Dunphy was kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She took the time to answer all of our questions, and I felt completely confident that Gigi was in excellent hands. The procedure went perfectly, and her recovery was much easier than we expected. In the end, only two teeth needed to be extracted and a deep cleaning her teeth look amazing. I didn't know they could be white again. Her breath is fresh again. We truly appreciated Dr. Dunphy's honesty and fairness throughout the entire process. We've also loved Dr. Leber, who has cared for Gigi for many years, but as he gets closer to retirement, it's such a relief to know we've found another veterinarian at the same clinic that we trust just as much. The drive from Peoria is absolutely worth it. We highly recommend Dr. Dunphy and the entire team for the exceptional care they provide. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our sweet Gigi!

I'm leaving my original comments in place below because they were heartfelt and genuine. I'm adding…read moreto this review because at the most difficult time in my life as a pet parent, my experience with Hassayampa Vet Services was less than stellar and I'm sharing with hopes that this can raise this organization's awareness so that other pet parents won't feel like I feel. We have a home in Maine and we spend winters in Arizona. Chewie got sick in Arizona and our regular vet couldn't get him in, so we called Hassayampa and were thrilled that they saw the need to get him in immediately. My comments at the bottom are from the care they provided at that time. When we came to Maine for the summer, I elected to continue to order Chewie's medication through Hassayampa's pharmacy portal because I felt that they were now "our vet". One of the orders came through with a slightly different name and the pill looked different so, since we are on a different time zone, I sent them a message to ask if someone could look into this. No response. So, the next business day I called and explained the situation. The person who answered the phone recognized that this was important. She promised me that either the vet or a tech would call me. No one called me. So, I did my own research to determine that the pills were okay. I chocked it up to a busy office and I let it go. On 6/11/2025 when Chewie passed, I reached out with a message to them to let them know. I kind of would have expected an email back offering condolences and letting me know that they had cancelled any existing pharmacy items that were out there for reorder. I got nothing. So, a day or two later I logged into the pharmacy to delete the auto ship so that I wouldn't get pills I couldn't use. What I found was that they deleted Chewie from the portal as well as all of the meds that were on auto ship, so it wasn't that they didn't know, it seemed that our family just didn't matter now that we weren't paying customers. I am sad that I don't feel valued now that I don't spend money there. An agency where we are considering adoption asked me who our vet was. In my grief over Chewie, I didn't realize that what they were looking for was actually vaccination records which of course are not at Hassayampa but rather with our former vet. So, someone called me from Hassayampa either yesterday or the day before and simply told me that they don't have any vaccination records to provide. No sympathy, no comment about our loss, just a non caring comment that they have nothing to provide. I'm not a needy person, but the complete lack of empathy does not resonate with me. Chewie was a family member who mattered very much to us and we are bereft. I thought he mattered to Hassayampa Vet Clinic too, but the lack of a phone call or email to discuss our med concerns and the complete lack of empathy and the matter of fact demeanor in which his passing has been treated is not something that speaks highly of this organization I'm sorry to say. We will be looking for another vet clinic when we adopt another dog. I do wish things were different.

I have had 5 animals put to sleep, and they were always supportive and sent condolence cards to me. Their prices are reasonable compared to other veterinary offices in town. The front office staff is a fun, very understanding group, and they treat my animals as their own pets. You need to be a full client to receive emergency services due to the high volume during snowbird season.

Before this all happened I had seen a Dodo story about an animal chiropractor. I never knew there was such a thing. After our dog was injured I recalled the story and that is when I found Sonoran Animal Chiropractic on Yelp. The medication was helping, but it made him extra hungry, extra thirsty, band after a few week not much improvement. When it wore off he was in pain again. I wanted more for him and a better quality of life. It has been a week since his first adjustment with Dr. Kennedy and he is no longer walking arched in pain, and is no longer taking medication. Mind you every evening before bed I have been icing his trouble areas and giving him a gentle massage as well to keep his muscles relaxed. Making sure that there are not any hot spots first that could get irritated. We have our old dog back and I am so thankful. I really believe in chiropractic care. He sees Dr. Kennedy again in a week. I can't for her to see how much he has improved. Inam over thr moon amd so happy.
