I always get the 14 piece with fries and a drink that I always told to $13 that is a great deal for food. The service is fast and the chicken is delicious..

The wait is finally over! The Wings Up coming soon sign went up several months ago, months after Homegrown Pizza closed shop, and today they finally opened. The menu consists of fried wings, tenders, catfish and shrimp, fried rice, egg rolls and french fries. Got the 4-pc fried chicken and #3 side just to try the food out. The #3 side includes regular fried rice, 12 oz can drink and about a 4 oz container of shredded lettuce and pickles. The chicken was reminiscent of Golden Wings or Manchu. The crust was crispity crunchy and the meat was seasoned. The wings are on the smaller side. The regular shrimp fried rice isn't the replacement for beloved Chinese Tea Garden that I hoped it would be. I'll have to try the deluxe fried rice next time, which adds egg and green onion. Why are the shrimp so orange, though? The "salad" of shredded lettuce and three pickles was fine, and I think the prices are reasonable. Customer service was pleasant and the inside was clean. It just opened today, so it should've been. It took a minute to customize the side dishes because the cashier had to select several options (eg, shrimp or no shrimp, pickles or no pickles, salad dressing, drink). Typical first-day wrinkles, but I'm sure they'll streamline the ordering process. The restaurant has potential. I can see ordering party trays from here.

The food, services, and price were excellent. You actually get a lot of bang for your buck. The cashier/hostess could not have been nicer! I will definitely keep this establishment in my regular weekly rotation!

Someone at the party brought Manchu's and Wings Up was definitely the better option.

I am a big fan of the schooner salad, which I get without ham. They have baked potatoes as big as your head that are always cooked to fluffy perfection. It is small, so you may have to wait a few minutes, but it is definitely worth it. They have tables inside and outside. There's also bar seating available. The cocktails are delicious and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.

Unfortunately, the customer service was a completely different experience. When I walked in and said I was there to pick up an order, the man and woman behind the bar looked at me strangely, whispered to each other, and then asked for my name. After confirming it, the gentleman only told me the total. No greeting, no smile, and I wasn't asked if I wanted to order a drink or anything else. When the woman handed me my food, I asked if I could have some ketchup. She responded with an attitude, saying, "There's some in the bag." I thanked her and left. When I got back to my work van, I opened the bag and found there was only one packet of ketchup. The food was excellent, but the service left me feeling very unwelcome. Based on how I was treated, I couldn't help but feel like I was being judged differently because of my ethnicity. I can't say for certain that was the reason, but that's honestly how the interaction made me feel. I hope management takes customer service seriously because everyone deserves to feel welcomed and treated with respect.

Turtle Bay -- 4…read more Listen... this is MY spot. One of my favorite places and honestly one of the only places I'll sit down and eat in the French Quarter. I've been coming here for about 6 or 7 years now, and they are easily in my top three. The vibe? Dive bar, laid back, no fuss... but the FOOD? Don't sleep on it. Their menu is solid and I still haven't made it through everything yet. I've had the wings, which we actually got this visit but ate them so fast we didn't even get a picture. That should tell you enough right there. I've had the pizza, and my husband usually goes for a burger. Never any complaints. They've got plenty on tap and the drinks hit too. I love a good Electric Lemonade, but this time I kept it simple with an Angry Orchard. Now let's talk about what keeps me coming back... The steak. We got our old faithful, one of their signature steaks, the 10oz petite ribeye. This is exactly what made me fall in love with Turtle Bay in the first place. Normally it's around $13.95, comes with a twice stuffed potato and a slice of garlic bread. A DEAL. This time it was a little higher, but still under $15, which honestly is still more than fair with how prices are these days. And when I say it be hitting... it be hitting. Only reason this visit didn't get a full 5 stars? My steak was cooked a little over my liking. I usually go for medium, and this one leaned more done than I prefer. Not horrible, just not my usual perfection. But everything else? Still solid. The staff is always nice, always welcoming. I've never had a bad experience with them, and that matters. And I already know I'm coming back because I keep hearing the crawfish is FIRE. Yeah... I need to see that for myself. This is my happy place. Open 24/7, consistent, affordable, and just a real gem in the French Quarter. The Bay is Babe. Period.

We noticed a guy sitting by himself and offered to buy him a beer if he'd let us join him at his table. He said yes, and it ended up being part of the fun experience! The food was excellent. We ordered the Cochon Muffaletta, which was huge, packed with flavor, and definitely a must-try. The mac & cheese is an absolute MUST--creamy, cheesy, rich, and easily one of my favorite things we ordered. The beer was great too and paired perfectly with the food. The atmosphere is casual, lively, and exactly the kind of place you want to experience while in New Orleans. 5/5 -- great food, great beer, and absolutely worth the visit. I cook a lot of both at home--I'm someone who is dedicated enough to my Louisiana cooking to order Steen's syrup from Louisiana to my Florida doorstep even though Florida makes perfectly good cane syrup in its own right. (Side note: any New Orleans restaurant you venture to serving pain perdu with maple syrup and not Steen's--ask what the hell they're even doing.) Like most worthwhile restaurants, the menu here changes up. The specials as well as their famous sandwiches seem the way to go and I got the fried shrimp with bread and butter pickles. Exceptional--a small amount, it may have even been a starter but regardless was perfect for me. The sandwiches other diners had on their plates were large and looked delicious just glancing around at other tables. Everything comes up fast and the atmosphere is . . . just ideally New Orleans. It feels all the way "working CBD lunch" yet unhurried, a reflection of Cochon's greatness but scaled down and with utterly no pretense. There's simply a real sense of both care and expertise in everything done here no matter how simple or complex. Beyond all else, they're doing what they love here with no scaling back or dressing up to make it anything else. A winner through and through.
