In short, within only about five months of our original purchase, two LINDBERG frames each developed a crack after approximately two months of normal use, and after the second failure, we were not offered a repair, replacement, or refund for the cracked replacement frame. We purchased a LINDBERG frame with premium lenses here about five months ago. After approximately two months of normal use, we noticed a crack developing on the inner/lens side of the frame. We brought the glasses back to the store, and the frame was replaced under warranty. Unfortunately, after approximately another two months of normal use, we noticed a very similar crack developing on the replacement frame, in essentially the same location on the inner/lens side. The glasses had not been involved in an accident or exposed to unusual heat, and we did not use alcohol wipes on them. We returned to the store and explained what had happened. Given that two separate frames had developed similar cracks in essentially the same location within such a short period, we hoped the repeated issue would be investigated and that a reasonable resolution would be offered. However, we were told that the frame would not be replaced again because it had already been replaced once under warranty. The only solution offered to us was to purchase another new frame ourselves, while the store would cover the cost of new lenses. What makes this experience especially frustrating is that no solution was offered for the cracked replacement frame itself - no repair, no replacement, and no refund. The only option presented to us requires us to pay for another frame, even though our original purchase was made only about five months ago. They did not give any reason of the cracking or offer anything else, except asking us to buy a new frame. What we do know is that two separate LINDBERG frames supplied through Century City Optometry developed very similar cracks in essentially the same location after roughly two months of normal use each. For an expensive LINDBERG frame with premium lenses, this is not the product reliability or after-sales experience we expected.

I scheduled and paid for a contact lens exam, expecting the exam to be performed before being fitted for contact lenses. Instead, I was immediately taken into a room and given trial contact lenses based solely on my eyeglasses prescription. When I asked whether an exam would be performed first, I was told it was not necessary because my glasses prescription would be used. After trying approximately five different pairs of contacts, I repeatedly explained that I still could not see clearly. I was eventually sent home with a pair and told that my eyes would "adjust" throughout the day. While speaking with the front desk, I politely asked questions about the contact lens process because my previous experiences at other offices had always included an exam before fitting contacts. The owner overheard the conversation and came out appearing visibly upset. She then offered to perform the exam, saying, "We have time now," but only after hearing me question the process. At that point, I felt uncomfortable and no longer confident in the care I was receiving. As a paying customer, I believe I have every right to ask questions and understand the services I am receiving. No patient should feel intimidated for seeking clarification about their care. After leaving, my eyes became extremely itchy and very red. When I checked one of the contact lens samples I had been given, I discovered it had expired in January 2025--approximately 17 months ago. I contacted the office to request a refund and asked that my vision insurance not be billed. Unfortunately, I later learned that the person involved was the owner, so there was no higher management to address my concerns. The entire experience left me upset and in tears. I cannot recommend this office based on my experience and would encourage others to ask questions and carefully review any contact lenses they are given before wearing them.
