Optimum Electrical was the most knowledgeable company of all of my contacts and they had good reviews, so I chose them. I am extremely happy with the quality of their work, their knowledge and integrity. They said what they would do and did exactly what they promised and then left the area clean. They got the permits and were there for inspections, always timely and professional. Later I needed another job, wiring for a waterfall and I hired them again. I am writing a review for work that Optimum Electrical completed in the fall of 2019. We had a great experience with them and want to follow through and share this with others. I simply had to open an account on Yelp and write my first review, because Optimum Electrical did such a great job. We needed to move our old electrical panel and upgrade it to a new, larger panel. We chose Optimum Electrical after researching reviews online and interviewing several electricians. We chose Optimum because they were knowledgeable, focused, and the estimate they provided us for the work we needed was very reasonable. They have a very transparent way of pricing that was easy for us to understand. A father and son team, with a third electrician, they did a fantastic job and completed the project within budget and on time. Sean patiently answered all our questions. Sometimes, he would discuss the best way to approach a problem with his father. Together, they helped us plan how to approach a future expansion we have in mind for a different part of the house. Friendly, knowledgeable, and kind not only to us, but to each another, they were easy to work with. We were touched when we saw them congratulate each other and shake each others' hands (this was pre-Covid..) after completing the job. This showed us they took pride in a job well done. It was fun to witness this expression of mutual respect and shared camaraderie. We are glad we have found Sean and his dad (and his coworker). We now know who to call for all our future projects. I had reached out to at least 5 different electricians for estimates before deciding on Optimum Electrical, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Due to an attempted break-in, I decided to add some Ring floodlights around our property, at locations where there were no existing electrical wiring or outlets. The Ring equipment alone is expensive and takes a lot of set-up time, so I needed to know what kind of investment was needed. Sean was prompt in responding to my Yelp message, and I was able to schedule an appointment for an estimate not long after. Sean was punctual for the appointment and invested a lot of time in understanding our needs. Instead of upselling, Sean tried to talk us off 2 additional cameras that he suggested were redundant, but he graciously relented when we insisted on keeping one additional camera. He demonstrated a lot of knowledge of the Ring products which helped with our decision. We felt that Sean spent more time than other electricians to get to know us so that he could give us the best recommendation and estimate, so while his estimate was not the lowest price (it was middle of the pack), we had the most confidence in it. Sean was accommodating of our schedule when it was time to book the actual installation, coming to us on a weekend. Sean and his dad Mike showed up punctually and were incredibly efficient - I was surprised they were largely done by 11 AM. One part of the job required them to knock down some interior drywall, which Sean explained during the estimate, and he took the time to check with me before he started to do so. When they were done, Sean and Mike tidied up the area nicely. The whole job was completed sooner than I expected and Sean and Mike were professional and pleasant to deal with during the entire experience. It's good to know they're available for big or small jobs and even for 24-hour emergencies. We will definitely be hiring Optimum Electrical again for our electrical needs. read more

I worked with the team from Optimum on a several light switches that I needed to replace with some new dimmable ones but I had some older wiring and was unsure if I could even have them installed. They gave me a date and time that worked for me and came out to look at the outlets and let me know that they could do the job on the spot. They finished in under 3o minutes and also advised me on how to swap out a light fixture that I wanted and opinion on and also needed to upgrade on my own - they were honest that it would be simple and that I shouldn't pay them to do it when it was as easy as pulling the old one out and putting a new one in same place.
