I will not be back. I was going to be out of country for a couple of weeks made an appointment. I have a new to me 2015 8v 1200 Norge purchased 4/2026 from a dealer complete with new battery. I called the next day after dropping off to add shock seals. No answer so I left a message. No response. on my return 2.5 weeks later I get a message saying they are now just looking at the bike. I try to call several times but the message box is full. E mail to find that they did not get the message re shocks. At the end of 4 weeks they tell me my battery is dead which I tell them is new. So they do not investigate or do a safety check. All they want to do is sell me a battery. I get home to find that I no longer have night lights or the extra set of running lights. I have had over a dozen bikes serviced in the US and Canada and these guys are the worst. They are probably great with regular service on a new bike and are very helpful with accessories they sell. If you have real problems go somewhere else. read more

I live 100 miles from Optimum Performance Motorsports, and when I saw that they had a great looking Moto Guzzi available, I knew that we were going to be driving over there to see them. I reached out by email and had a prompt response from Adrielle Walker, who was very informative and helpful. She answered all of my questions completely and professionally. The test drive and transaction all went very smoothly. The bike was as good or better than advertised, and in outstanding condition. Very satisfied with everything. The 100 mile journey home was uneventful, and I was able to relax and enjoy my new bike, and concentrate on staying warm (November brrrrrr). They appear to be a very prosperous business, and clearly will be expanding in the near future. I think they are going to continue to do very well. A great asset to the motorcycle community. 2014 Aprilia RSV4 needed 12k service. A little expensive but feel they did a good job and I'll assume they used OEM parts and supplies needed. I hate aftermarket stuff so a little more $$ is worth it. Needed valve adjustment, a few were off. The bike doesn't backfire anymore I got lucky, a few customers did a no show so they had time to work on the bike. Will find out if all is good this weekend when I hammer the twisties for 2 days. read more

Brought my 2007 Aprilia Tuono for initial tune up and electrical problems due to my battery being drained. Shop said bike was ready and when I got home was what I thought was oil down kickstand, but drove back and said was excessive chain lubrication which would have saved me a drive from Gig Harbor. I just took my Goldwing here for a tire swap out as well as a cruiser rear wheel remount. Both were very well priced and they were easy on the rims, which can suffer damage from less competent shops. They do have a small sitting area and a restaurant or two nearby, which is good because getting work done during the Spring riding frenzy usually requires a wait with lunch. The prices are much better than other local shops who want 2-3xs as much for the same service and some will not even touch a Goldwing. The shop is all the way in the back of an industrial/retail park, so finding it is best with a GPS. The folks that work there were helpful to deal with too. After the Moto Guzzi Aprilia shop in Portland closed, I searched for an Aprilia shop with prior experience to perform my 12k mile service on my 2014 Mana 850 GT ABS for the V belt change and came up empty having tried calling every shop in British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and California for anyone who had done one before. I would have needed to drive 2100 miles to Austin Texas to find the nearest shop who knows how to service the Aprilia Mana, so I then purchased the special tools from AF1 in Austin to do the work myself sometime after a trip abroad. Upon my return, I discovered Optimum Performance had opened here in Portland and they were able to get the work done in time for my road trip. The dedication and effort they put into the job now sets the standard for this work. Anyone else in the area needing this done should have Dominick take care of it for you. You'll be happy with the results. The V belt change can be a tricky endeavor that you'll want only someone with the experience to handle for you. This is the place to do it. read more

TL;DR: Stay away. My '04 ZX-10R needed some servicing to get it ready for the track. While I usually do most of the work on my bikes, I felt better having someone else who is (hopefully) more experienced take care of it this time. I opted to take it to Optimum Performance Motorsports in Kirkland for a few reasons. The shop is about 15 minutes from home, they are associated with OPRT (who runs track days locally), and they told me that they would be able to check out the bike and make sure that it will pass tech inspection at the track. I scheduled a service and asked that the brakes be flushed, the coolant changed out for water wetter, an oil change, the old gas (5+ years old) in the tank be drained, and the forks serviced (new oil and seals). I also asked for new tires to me mounted and a LiFePO4 battery (which I had already purchased) be installed. Only three of these seven things were done, and there are problems with all of the work which was completed. When I picked the bike up, they told me that there wasn't much gas in the tank and just to fill it up with something fresh. Luckily I have some tubing and I was able to drain about 1 gallon out of the tank. They told me that they hadn't flushed the coolant because what was in there didn't look bad. That's great, but that's not what I asked for. I was not given a reason why the forks were not serviced, even though when I dropped it off they told me that it was needed due to some oil which had seeped past the fork seals when I tied it down on the trailer. I didn't notice this until I had loaded the bike on my trailer to head to the track. A hose from the fuel tank overflow was misrouted when the bodywork was re-installed. The rear hugger had one fastening bolt removed from it to make space for the higher profile tire. This is understandable, but they didn't mention it, nor did they return the fastener which had been removed. This got called out at tech inspection for "loose bodywork". (Fixed with a zip tie and extra bolt.) One axle spacer for the rear was installed backwards so that the chain adjustment index mark is not visible. The lock pin that I had safety wired on the castle nut had been replaced with a split pin. Neither is a big deal but it's annoying. I need to remove the castle nut and re-install the spacer correctly next time the chain is adjusted. I think I have more pins in my tool box. Last week I plugged the bike into an LFP charger, which almost immediately showed an error light. I went to check the battery and found that there was a no-name $30 lead acid battery installed of the much more expensive LFP battery I had purchased. When I called the explanation I was given is that the tech doing the work forgot that I'd brought in a battery. This is despite the fact that I'd called to check on when I could pick up my bike and reminded them that I'd dropped off a battery with the bike. My brakes began to fade about 15 minutes into my track sessions. Either they weren't bled correctly, or a low temperature fluid was used. I'll need to redo this work properly. I'd like to support a local business, and especially one that attempts to support racers and track riders. But after seeing the work they've done, I won't be going back. read more

I called OP Motorsports a couple minutes before they opened, and as I was leaving a message, they were calling me back. Michael was who I talked with and I explained that my BMW had a slow leak in the front tire that we weren't able to find. He said they could take my bike right away, so we were there before 11:00. Jim greeted us as we pulled up, asked a few questions and helped us unload my bike. He told us they'd inspect the tire, and we were free to leave the bike and we'd get a call when they had some information. Within a couple hours Jim called and we returned to the shop. They could find nothing wrong with the tire nor wheel but had removed the valve stem, cleaned the seat and replaced it - as that is a common location for a slow leak. There was no charge to us. We were very impressed with the service, promptness and courtesy shown by Michael and Jim. We will gladly return as needed when we're in the area and refer our friends. read more

I called OPM in the morning if I can stop by for suspension adjustment and oil change. They sneaked me in during lunch hour. The suspension adjustment process was easy, based on your weight. It's the best $40+ I've ever spent for my bike. Highly recommended for anyone just bought a motorcycle. Here is what made me write this review for them. I also brought a muffler baffler with me (didn't have the ring-on plier to put it on). I asked if they can help me put it on, thinking it was an easy 5-min thing. They did help but it required Michael to mcgiver it on taking it out as it was stuck. And, he didn't even charge me for that trouble! I met Mike and Alan through OPRT track days - they both helped me feel welcome and at home at the track in what can be an intimidating environment for newbies. I had no idea they ran a shop until I started looking for somewhere to mount tires without charging an arm and a leg and a friend referred me to them. It was a repeat of my track day experience with OPRT: the guys made me feel welcome and at home in their shop, in what can also be an intimidating environment! They're at the low end of the local prices for tire mounting (even if you ride in) and they do tires while you wait. But where with other shops at the price point I've had a poor experience, OPM is an above and beyond, safety-first kind of place -- I brought my boyfriend's bike that we're rehabbing in for tires and I forgot to tell Mike we were about to replace the chain and sprockets -- he did the tires, AND cleaned and lubed the chain and flagged its condition for me because he noticed the chain was in poor shape. I didn't expect that, and I appreciate that they're looking out for rider safety even on a tire install. They're responsive to FB messages and super easy to reach / work with. The only other shop where I've felt this welcomed and well served was Motocorsa down in Portland, but now that I ride a Honda driving all the way to a Ducati dealer in Portland just doesn't make sense. I went for a regular oil change and basic service, asked him if he can help replaced a damaged panel on my ZX14R, gladly agreed (didn't charge me for it). Recommended 'must-replace' changes on the bike and also called out a few 'not required at the moment' ones. Couldn't have asked for more professionalism from him. Adjusted my suspension for $40 bucks. With free return visit(s) if I need it adjusted further. I forget his name, but he was extremely knowledgeable about bikes in general. Basically did a once over of my bike for free, and good advice on where to find parts and such. I think he's kind of a one man operation (could be wrong) working out of a motorcycle shop that does dyno tunes and such. I highly recommend!
