Many years ago, between 2014 - 2017, I spent thousands of dollars at this shop to maintain two of my Orange County Choppers and fix an electrical problem on one of them. I regret ever stepping foot into that place. Now that I'm retired, I've had time to delve into the bikes myself and I have discovered the extremely poor workmanship they performed. They never were able to solve the electrical problem that plagued one of my bikes but instead performed unrelated and unnecessary repairs costing me thousands. I've kept all of my old workorders and the bills are incredibly ridiculous. Do not trust these people with your Harley Davidson or any Custom Chopper. I'm currently in the process of re-terminating nearly every electrical connection using proper terminals and crimp connections because they had not been terminated satisfactorily by this shop. Some connections were barely hanging together by just a few individual conductors. A few of the splices had not even been insulated; instead, they were left bare and exposed to possibly short out against nearby metal surfaces. One of their attempts to fix the electrical problem was to replace the ignition coil. I can understand this approach but the method in which they performed this task just makes me shake my head in disbelief at their total incompetence and complete lack of pride in workmanship. Instead of properly routing the new cable harness from the ignition coil through the frame as was done with the original harness, they just used Panduits to attach it to the outside of the framework. His explanation at the time was that it was just too difficult to route the new harness back through the inside of the frame. ??? I've come to discover the reason they were unable to route the new cable harness thru the frame, or unwilling to even attempt basic proper wire routing techniques is because they left the old cable harness inside the frame. Yeah, that's right, you read this correctly; they simply cut the old cable harness at both ends and left it inside the frame! Of course, that's not going to leave any room inside the frame in which to route the new cable harness thru - duh. Additionally, they apparently have also never been educated on the simple and proper way to trim Panduit tails FLUSH. EVERY single ugly Panduit they installed on the bike frame was left with a sharp, jagged tail waiting to tear up somebody's hands or scrape against a nearby surface. Maybe I'm just being picky since I worked at Boeing for many years performing electrical work on commercial and military aircraft, but I don't think so. This is just common sense, and common practice that any professional working within a related industry should be aware of. If you see jagged Panduit tails left behind after someone has attempted electrical repairs on your vehicle, leave immediately and don't ever return to that shop. Those tails are just indications to you that whoever attempted electrical repairs on your vehicle is a hack and far more serious and flawed electrical terminations have likely been made within the guts of your electrical system. Actually, if they had taken the time and effort to route the harness properly thru the framework, then they never would have needed to use Panduits at all. This was a custom chopper for crying-out-loud. They seem to be completely oblivious to aesthetics in regard to a custom bike - quite unbelievable. As I stated earlier, I'm now retired and I have time to undo all of the crap work this shop performed, so I strongly recommend that you take your motorcycle elsewhere. Maybe by this date of August 2025, new mechanics might be working there that may actually take pride in their workmanship and care about your motorcycle, but speaking for myself, I would not ever risk taking my bike back there again. Scott and Jeff were both extremely helpful on a cam swap I had planned on my 2019 RG. Their communication was excellent throughout the component installation. I appreciated the fact they gave me a quote over the phone that was extremely close to the final bill. The only difference being that I had to upgrade my Screamin Eagle header pipes to accommodate the larger 18mm sensors on the Thundermax tuner. So my total was only different because of this factor. On god, after a handle bar job on my 2020 Street bob. I was in the middle of riding when I hit a small bump and the bars became loose. Lucky i was able to pull over safely. So for anyone with a 2015 or newer bike, I wouldn't recommend this place for your safety and just pay a bit more at a dealership. I now own 3 Harley's - a 94 Softtail Springer that was frame-swapped and chopped by Cyclpath, a 2000 Electraglide Classic I bought in 2011 required a Stage III Power Commander to make run right with the previous owner's Reinhart Exhausts (no maps for the 2000 fuel Injection) along with gear driven cams (no chain failure fear) and replacement of warped front rotors, new tires, drive belt, etc.. and an S&S 'slobber' was built from the left over 94 Springer frame and forks last year. Scott and Jeff have been my bike mechanics and builders for 15 years, and I trust them to do it right. (But verify!). When you have a long relationship, you learn where the "soft-spots' are, and those are typically the ubiquitous apprentice mechanic that does the "easy stuff". Over the years I've experienced loose bolts and nuts (oiled the rear tire I should have caught, front break mount bolt fell out I also should have caught, missing seat-bolts I did catch), pinched new front tire tube (went flat pulling into Spokane). With the exception of the tire tube, all things *I* should have caught too. But with all the work and maintenance they've done perfect for me over the years, I mention the few times that fell short only to emphasize the owner/rider has the ultimate responsibility and pays the ultimate price for their own neglect and lack of diligence. Nobody is perfect all the time. (I'll note here that my experience with the 'mother-ship' dealers has been far worse, both in cost and quality.) Because they are 'best in the Northwest' (not just *my* humble opinion) CyclPath is typically very busy - so you need to partner with them in working on your bike - you're the final QC inspector when you pick it up, and every time you get ready to ride. For the record, I've never caught Scott being less than perfect in anything he's done (5-stars for him), from rebuilding engines and trannys, building bikes "from scratch", to restringing spokes to correct a tracking issue. Heading for Sturgis in a week and a half, the glide goes in for (long-overdue) fork service and a once-over in a couple days. "The road goes on forever and the party never ends.." read more

I purchased my motorcycle in 2005 and have put 25k+ miles in it. Rather then trade it in on a new one I decided to have some pretty expensive work done to it to make it better than new. That way I get to keep what has become a trusted friend and have it be better and cooler than what comes out of the factory in 2019. I talked to several shops around town and decided on cyclpath as they seemed to be the most knowledgeable and took the extra time to advise me on upgrade options. Although I choose the higher end of the budget with a S&S 124 upgrade kit, New handlebars, air ride, tires and a little chrome eye candy, they never pushed me higher dollar work. Nor did they every really get cranky with my continuing to call to add things to my order. That said, the team there shines bright when it comes to subject matter expertise and not being pushy for more work. Being a pretty large job requiring engine machining for the Big Bore Kit, the bike was there for a couple weeks. During this time the kept me well informed of the progress of parts, updates to work status which meant a lot to me. It sort of felt like Christmas ever other day as new parts would come in and be bolted on the the bike. Most importantly, the experience felt more like a group of friends were working on my bike rather than a dark hole in a dealership. I am now 750 miles into my 1000 mile break in and the bike runs great. The experience having them do the work was awesome and besides having a whole lot more power the bikes better than I remember it brand new in 2005. I can feel the quality of their work in the bike while I ride it. A well earned five start review from me and I am a guy who rarely gives them. The other reviews are true, they are filled with nice staff (at first) and the work gets completed quickly (but they charge you for more time than it takes so be careful). I brought in my set of tires that needed to be installed at 4:10pm and got quoted $25 per tire (pretty good price) plus labor ($98/hr). The lady at the front quoted an hour an a half of work and I agreed to that. Walked over to Lucky 7 to have a few beverages and came back at 5:30pm with my bike parked up front all finished. The total came out to $240.02. I will post pictures of my invoice. At the time I just paid because it had been a long day (bad decision on my end). Got home and checked over the invoice a little closer because it is quite ridiculous to be charged $240.02 for an installation of tubeless motorcycle tires. It turns out i got charged with: 2 units per tire at a cost of $25. 1.8 units of labor which equals 1hr 48 min of labor for a tire change. That is impossible. I was there at 4:10pm-5:30pm, at the very most (if they magically took my bike right when I got off to walk through the doors) it could only be possible to charge 1hr 20min. SO THEY CHARGED ME FOR FUTURE TIME THAT HAS NOT EVEN PASSED YET! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? YOU TELL ME.. I have tried contacting the front desk lady once in person and once by phone, and both times said that the owner will contact me and refund me .3 units of labor to make it 1.5 units of labor total. Still have not received any word from anyone. On the phone she insulted me asking if I knew anything about businesses (which is hilarious because I was calling between classes at UW School of Business, a few quarters shy of a Business Finance degree), and then some bogus excuse saying she pulled a mechanic off another bike for my bike that is why they charged me extra labor to compensate for the other work.. How does that make any sense? She confessed to over charging me and still not refunding my money! What kinda business is this?! I would not recommend coming here unless it is a last resort. Don't be fooled by kindness of the lady in the front, and be careful of your invoices because they will throw in false charges. I am in the process of filing a fraudulent charge with BECU to get refunded the correct amount. I will keep this review updated. read more

While out riding my Road King, I was approached by a gentleman who handed me a card for Cyclepath and said if I ever needed work done on my bike, they could do it cheaper than a Harley Dealership. I was having trouble with the lights not working properly, so I took my bike in and within a couple of hours they said the problem was fixed and charged me around $300.00. Unfortunately, the same problem reappeared a week later. I took the bike back in. They called me later that day to say they found the problem and fixed it but then proceeded to charge me another $312.63. When I asked if they were going to credit me for the first "nonfix", they said NO, but that they gave me a credit - a credit which is not reflected on the invoice. My lights are working. However, I would not recommend Cyclepath since apparently they do not guarantee their work and my problem could have been fixed in one visit and, most probably, cheaper by a Harley Dealership. read more

This is by far and away the best bike shop around. I have been taking my Harley there since it opened some 7 or 8 years ago and and still as impressed with them as I always have been. Owner Jeff Carney is the best diagnostician I have ever met and a helluva nice guy too. Very fair with his pricing. Head wrench Darrin Waters knows bikes so well, he could do a rebuild or repair in his sleep, and he wont finish until he is absolutely sure everything is done right. I have to second a previous review. I called and when I told the guy i had a Buell, he said he had to check with his boss and call me back. The gentleman on the phone was nice, but he informed me that they "had enough easy jobs like oil changes etc" and that they would prefer not to "get involved" with my bike. I've been a HD owner for years and they just lost what would have been a lifetime customer. I've owned a lot of machines, known a lot of mechanics.... No impressed with this place or their work ethic. Would not refer them to a HD owner, or anyone else. UPDATE: In response to the comment left by the company: If the gentlemen would have told me that you don't work on Buell's instead of what I quoted him saying in my review, you might have gotten a better review. If I could provide Zero Stars I would. I just got off the phone with these guys and as soon as I said my bike type, the guy couldn't get off the phone fast enough and wouldn't entertain providing references to other shops/mechanics. I guess if the dollars aren't directly coming to them, they're not interested. For any other shops mechanics or owners, if you think these guys support your business (All in The Family), they do not. Service starts at the phone contact and these guys are so rank amateurish they don't know business 101. If you don't have a cheap HD or HD clone, find yourselves a real bike shop. THEY RIP YOU OFF. Way over priced for faulty half-ass work, that's if they even do anything. Stripped nuts n bolts. You're lucky if you get a 10 mile ride in before realizing they screwed you. Try calling them out and you get the "sux to be you" feel hardcore 1instance-- my boyfriend paid top dollar for a brand new starter along with installation labor charges.. What I've learned from taking Cyclepath to court. 1) Be certain that all requests are completely documented on the work order, including a test on the roadway if a diagnosis is needed, along with an estimate of cost for all services. "Verbals" don't work in court. 2) Document on the work order that any increase over 110% of the original estimate requires your initials prior to performing the work RCW46.71 3) Any replaced part you want returned to you have that request documented on the work order at the time you authorize repairs. My dream build turned into a headache shortly after bringing my bike here. I dropped my Harley off and asked to have several things done , including a custom sissy bar. Jeff stated no problem and I thought everything was all good. Then, 2 months later he called and said he wouldn't be doing my sissy bar because he couldn't source the right "diameter" of bar stock. This was quickly dismissed as fact, based on Harley doesn't use any special type of bar stock, just your standard good old American bar sizes. The truth of the matter is the project was over his head and he couldn't fabricate it. Long story short, I called him out on his lie, he decided to "attempt" to fabricate this sissy bar and it turned out horribly crooked, out of square and bad chrome prep. I asked for my money back on that portion of the bike and he declined. He also over charged over retail on several items. Stay away!!!! read more

BE CAREFUL about what you might have to pay. As for a detailed quote and a clear breakdown or you will end up paying more than you thought. I went the Cyclpath based on a friends recommendation. I wanted to get the front tire replace and also put on a new hand grips. I was going to get the parts, so when I asked for a quote by email, they said it would be about an hours worth of work for $85 per hour. That suited me so I took my bike to them. When I picked up my bike, he hands me a bill for $170+. I am totally surprised. So he tells, 1. they charge $25 extra if we get the parts and points me to a paper stuck on the wall ( never mentioned in the communication in email). 2. They always replace the tube and some other stuff, so extra for that. and Now, he never mentioned this to me on email. Also what kind of stupid charge is that. Extra if I buy parts. I felt like I was thoroughly cheated by not being told of this earlier. If I had to spend $170+ , I would have gone to Eastside Harley where I have been happy with the service and never felt deceived. The service was not bad, they replaced the tire and the hand grips, but it was really upset that I got robbed 'legally'. I did not argue with the owner but vowed never to come back and always take my business to Eastside Harley. read more

Don't judge a book by it's cover! At first glance Cyclpath is a dive bar in a bad part of town... but you know what, sometimes you meet the best people, get the best beer and have a better time in a dive bar than a swanky club. Got introduced by a friend when I bought my Dyna and been going there ever since. Routine servicing, tires and most recently upgrading the cam chain tensioners - consistently cheaper than the franchise dealers quote and no complaints about the work... I am so happy that I've got a good local business that I can trust close by... I only wish they were a bit bigger so they could be open 7 days a week :) read more

a friend recommended cyclpath to me after having some issues at one of the HD dealerships in town. a month later i laid my bike down. on a flyer, i sent my bike over to cyclpath (the labor is cheaper than all the HD dealerships) thinking i'd get more bang for my buck. Jeff and crew worked w/ the insurance guys directly and swung me a fair deal. They over delivered on everything. Gave me all the time i needed (they are super busy) to get the parts picked out, gave me a very accurate timeline, and gave me ideas and "what if we"'s the whole build out. My bike is only back in my garage, she is dramatically better than when cyclpath got her. In short, no one else in the state of washington will touch any of my bikes. read more

Nothing but good to say about Cyclpath and the staff. My '04 Road King needed a motor rebuild after 119,000 miles, and after a quick discussion with the local Harley dealer I decided to let Jeff Carney take a look at it and that was a very good decision. Cyclpath took my 88ci Twin Cam out to 103ci and added some stellar perfomance parts on the way. Now I have a very fast and reliable dresser making 100hp and 118ft/lbs on the dyno.
