Great experience here. As an out-of-state consumer with a trade the potential for mis-communication was very strong but Scott Moon is a stand-up guy who made the process pretty darned painless. I called him about a Triumph Daytona 675 he had which had 900ish miles and was in Scorched Yellow. As that happened to be my desired color AND ridiculous low miles we came to an agreement regards my trade and I then had the arduous process of driving it to them, which was literally the hardest part. Upon arrival was shown the Daytona which had a nice "sold" sticker on it and I promptly rolled it into the buckets on my trailer, dropped off my trade and filled out the paperwork then was on the road before 10. Start to finish less than an hour, and I had special out.of.state stuff to fill out. All the bikes there looked great, with an old sport bike from the '90s catching my eye in particular. DJ and Kelly have kept my GS right, and always at a fair price (including ultra-quick fixes for free). Loads of trust here; DJ knows GS models inside and out, and has spotted things large and small that I'd have definitely overlooked--and which compromised the safety of my ride. When one of my panniers got bent out of shape and wouldn't close, I was reduced to the sad bungee life (hey, haven't we all been there? BMW cans cost a fortune!). DJ was all, "Hmmm... think I can maybe do a thing..." And I dunno what sorcery he did but he MacGyvered that shit back together like a boss using some funky piece of hardware as a substitute for a missing bolt, but it was edgy. Believe me. I have a 1980 Yamaha. I was really excited when a friend recommended Moon to me, because I've had such a hard time finding a motorcycle shop willing to work on vintage motorcycles. When I called to inquire about getting an estimate to replace the valve cover gasket, I was told by the service manager that Moon didn't work on older motorcycles. When I told him it was my understanding that Moon specialized in older motorcycles, I was then told they didn't work on older bikes during peak times....which I assumed was "summer months." Later, a friend told me that Moon doesn't do any internal engine work on older motorcycle, only "outside" engine work. I didn't realize that a valve cover gasket was considered "INTERNAL" engine work. Needless to say, I won't be giving Moon any of my business. I certainly won't be recommending them to anyone. read more

I have not owned or rode a motorcycle in almost 30 years. I could never quite completely remove the impulse to own and ride again. I stumbled upon a Honda Fury some years ago and really loved the lines. With obvious progression, I locked in on the Honda Interstate with the leather saddlebags and other additional features not on the Fury; This was the one! Recently, I was doing a local Google search and the exact bike, burgundy color and all, popped up at Moon Motorcycles in North Bend. A beautiful, used 2011 VT1300. With additional add-ons, Mustang seat Cobra pipes, etc...she was a looker. I called and was lucky enough to talk with Scott Moon and he was incredibly transparent and helpful with answering all of my questions. The bike was priced right. I just needed to make sure it was mechanically sound. Not having ridden for many years and not a real expert in the field, I took a good buddy biker friend of mine to check it out. We went over the bike cosmetically with Scott found a few issues and minor concerns which Scott agreed to take care of for no additional charge. My buddy took it out for a run and came back with a big thumbs up approval. To wrap up, Scott had the issues taken care of within 3 days and I went back up on a Saturday to purchase the bike. Scott was onsite and entire staff was always helpful thru the entire process. Jessica especially a real treat, efficient and a fun personality while filling out all the paperwork. I have had the bike a few weeks now have been out riding many times and really truly love it! 2 years ago they sold me a bike with a bad stator, the bike was even dead when I came to pick it up(I didn't know anything about bikes at that time). Which should've been a red flag but I didn't know better and bought it, the bike would die within a day and left me stranded on highway a few times. I brought the bike into them and they basically told me it wasn't their problem even though they sold me a broken bike. I got my Honda GoldWing from Moon motorcycle. They were nice and professional. After I got my bike I realized that the ABS had some issues (the light coming up in highway speeds). I called them and Scott said I can take it to a Honda dealer and he will pay the bill for me. Been riding for 13 years. Never touched a Harley but it was time. Came across their website and their prices were way lower than expected. I was pleasantly surprised to find a quality, family owned dealership that sells quality bikes. Purchased a 2005 softail deuce that was barely broken in with just over 10k miles and way below blue book value. Not a scratch on it. Chrome was in perfect shape and it rides like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Kelly was also great explaining everything about the bike since I was new to Harleys. I've been in the market to get my first motorcycle for about a month or so and visited quite a few different cycle shops in the puget sound area. Moon Motorcycle was by far, the friendliest bunch of people I've come across, I worked alongside with Scott Moon, the owner of the shop. They catered to my needs and understood what I was looking for and didn't pressure me to buy a bigger bike to start off with. First impression when I walked in was 4 out of 5 stars. They have a great selection of used bikes for a very fair price, unlike big name shops like HD or Cycle Barn with pushy sales people. After an initial test ride and thumbs up from my father (an experienced rider) and a short discussion with him, I bought my first bike here at Moon, a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan EN500. Best thing is, it was within my budget, is a great starting platform for a bike, and low miles for the year (13k). They did an outstanding job cleaning it up and showroom presentation was amazing. I had hunted for replacement tires for my 2012 Sportster, which came with OEM Michelin Scorcher radials. I was less than pleased with the OEM tires both in wear and performance, so I decided to mail order the Avon Storm 3DXM as replacements. This sent me on the hunt for who offered the best price to R&R of my OEM to AVON's. I called 7 shops in greater Eastside area, with Moon being the best price. I was in the market for my first motorcycle. After dying it down to what model I wanted, I discovered that Moon Motorcycles had what I wanted at a fair price. I was apprehensive at first since they didn't have any reviews up, but decided to give them a try anyway. It ended up being a great choice. Scott was very knowledgeable and helpful with the whole process. Their showroom was clean and had a variety of different used bikes and some gear too (jackets, helmets, clothing; didn't see any parts, but I may have not noticed them.) The shop is easy to get too off of I5, but it's also tucked away so you can get a leisurely test drive if that's what you desire. One week (and about 150 miles) later, the bike is still awesome and I don't have a worry in the world about it. So a I finally decided to purchase a motorcycle. I had done tons of research and I had a pretty loose idea of what I wanted. Fuel injection 1000+cc and in good condition. I was leaning towards sportster because of price point but then I found my dream bike. A 2009 buell Ulysses adventure bike I had originally wanted an adventure bike but they all were way out of my price range. But I had stumbled across this beauty and until that point never knew this bike existed. So I called Scott up and told him the bike I was interested in and asked him a few questions it was obvious that they were very laid back and not just trying to pressure you to buy a bike because he told me that it was a tall bike and difficult to ride if you are on shorter side. I decided to head on down and have a look at it and he was right if I was any shorter it would not of worked well for me but it was just right for me. The bike looked great and he told me all the known pet peeves of the bike so I knew what to expect from it. I don't typically enjoy purchasing things from dealers but this was a pleasure. I've had the bike for a week now and have racked up about 600miles and have had zero problems or concerns with it. From all the dealers I went to these guys had the best prices, great quality and a nice variety of brands to look at. I would definitely start you motorcycle search here. read more

It's to bad I have to give two stars.. the owner is a nice person and was helpfull..I'm sure part because I was about to spend 5500 cash there..soo..this has been on my mind non stop for almost over a year now..THIS IS MY STORY AND EXPERIENCE..I was shopping on line for a harley..and wanted a 1990 to 1994 fxr or fxrs..I was particular on the model and year I wanted. I was going to customize one and update it etc.. so as advertised there was a 1990 fxr there.. so I decided to go buy it..took it home bought 2 grand of stuff and over 2 months I made it the way I wanted it..and I did it to ride and sell for a Lil more. Well I got the title in the mail..it was NOT a fxr..nor a 1990...it to was a 1989 fxlr..way way different.so I called and asked what we could do about it..nicely... what I got in responce was..an 89 is the same as a 90..best I can do is give you a free tire....a freaking free tire? Wtf.. so I eventually sold the bike for what I paid for the bike...all that time and money flushed down the toilet. I worked for 12 dollars an hour..it took a long time for me to get that bike and it wasn't what was advertised. So to be smarter than me...do a vin check before you buy..one year difference can mean alot...but to moon motorcycles what cost you thousands can get you a free tire..which I never got. I could care less about a freek in tire. read more

I recently brought my bike to Moon Motorcycles to have my shock replaced. I heard about Moon's from a neighbor who told me he has his bikes worked on there. Every aspect of the experience was great. Scott and DJ kept in contact with me throughout the process of securing an OEM part and then installing. When I went to pick up the bike, I got to meet everyone at the shop, including Scott and DJ, and had a great time visiting with all of them.
