Chris is awesome. Thorough, knowledgeable and personable. A winning combination. Took his time to examine each of the traps Dennis had previously left in place on 9/28 (or 9/29). Some places had a lot of activity; others surprisingly none. He explained each type of creature (carpet beetle, moth, garden variety spiders (small & large), centipede, larvae of some sort as he found them ... Frankly, any of it creeps me out... but he said that I should see a decline when I check each of the Pest Pro traps in a couple of weeks. His visit including interior spray treatment and outside periphery lasted a solid hour. My only criticism which is absolutely no reflection on Chris or Dennis but as Chris and I discussed and agreed: PLEASE BE SURE THAT WHEN I AM DUE FOR MY NEXT QUARTERLY SERVICE THAT SOMEONE FROM OPTIMUM PEST CONTROL CALLS FIRST TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TO EXAMINE THE INTERIOR. We have used Optimum for years on a contact where they come quarterly at a reasonable price to treat proactively and address any issues. They also come immediately on a call-out basis if we have a particularly-urgent issue, like the loud thrashing/rustling sound last night in the water heater closet in our garage apartment. It was so loud and persistent I thought it was a raccoon, so wanted a professional to open the door and analyze what was there. Optimum was happy to oblige. Turns out it was just mice. Jose, our usual technician, is amazing. Super-knowledgeable about pests and the norms of their behavior, which he can explain in a clear and understandable way, friendly, kind, polite, and able to explain the pros and cons of any chemical treatments to help us arrive at a solution that works for us. I've had a contract with this company for a couple years now since, for some reason, I have mice issues which I despise!! So far every technician has been cordial, thorough and knowledgeable. Same with the phone staff. Very accommodating. I feel better being connected with an exterminator who comes regularly setting the bait, coming back and checking and putting out new baits, either on schedule or if I feel I'd like it checked sooner. Took his time to explain what the plan would be and went beyond to make sure I am understood what was going on and how we can fix it. Im so extremley pleased with my service from Optimum Pest Control! I have used them several times and every single time they have been great! I called optimum to help with a fly issue in my home. They told me they don't handle fly problems but went out of their way to provide me with advice of what I could do (I searched the web and didn't find the advice they gave me anywhere). The very first day I moved into my new house, I had a cockroaches out of one of my shoes that was sitting on the floor. There were also spiders everywhere outside and a wasp nest above the front door.
