Still waiting a month for a referral. Long hold times and do not respond through their online portal.

Walking into the glass facade, is the reception area. Large space, and at 3:30 on a Friday it was quite busy. RECEPTION: I was greeted at the counter and given several forms to complete. Upon doing so, I sat for a few minutes before being called by name. REGISTRATION: I followed a young woman to the registration area. She took my ids and chatted with me informally. I felt like I had an identity and this was a good start. She scanned in my documents and I was all set. CHANGING AREA: I was escorted to the changing / waiting area. The wall art is very artsy and the changing / waiting room is quite calming. Given a medical gown, I was instructed to just remove my clothes from the waist up and don a gown - place my stuff in a black tote bag and wait. Within minutes I was called. MAMMOGRAM: The tech was in casual clothes and I told her I liked the informal feel. She said that on Fridays they get to be casual. So, the exam was typical. She was quick and efficient. We had to retake on image, but it only took a few minutes. Viola. Done. So I was escorted back to the changing/waiting area. DEXA SCAN: A few minutes later, I was again called by another woman and she walked me a few steps to the next exam room. She asked me a few questions, confirming everything I had already completed on the forms that were scanned. She asked me to remove my shoes and then she weighed and took my height measurement. Next, she had me lie on an exam table and told me to breath normally. The unit above scanned all the right places and then in minutes I was sitting up and putting my shoes on again. I returned to the changing area, put my top clothing back on and was ready to leave. From start to finish, I was in and out within an hour's time and that was so appreciated. Best of all, I received my Dexa scan results on MyChart the following morning. This is a very well-run, organized machine and I applaud them! Everyone was very full of smiles and there was not a moment when I felt pressured or felt tension amongst the staff.

I'm stunned by the low ratings of this clinic. I've had 4 mammograms to date, 3 of which have been…read moredone by XRANM, and two of them at the Jefferson location. When I called to get an appointment, I was able to slip in the very next week. My appointment happened early this month. I arrived to the location a little earlier than the time they said to check in. I had almost no wait when I was called to the check in desk. They verified my insurance information, took my referral, and he told me where to find the restroom, which was needed. After using the restroom, I took a seat in the waiting room. That lobby area is so pretty, it's almost spa like. There is plenty of seating. I wasn't seated long when I was called by the nurse. She led me to the little room and she showed me where to apply the alcohol wipe to prep for the mammogram and how to wear the gown. They also have spray deodorant to apply after the scans. From previous experience, I didn't put on deodorant, and I had my hair pulled back. I don't think I waited more than 5 minutes in that little room when I was called back into the imaging room. The technician was kind, courteous, and respectful. She lead me through a series of 4 scans, 2 on each breast. This time, she had to retake one image because she wasn't happy with the results. She handed me a paper on how to access the online portal. I took it, but knew I wouldn't access it. They told me it would take 3 days for the results. I got a call 3 days later from my primary care saying that there isn't any cancer. Then, I received a letter from them saying the same thing. I also appreciate that they send a reminder letter to get your mammogram done. This place is two thumbs up from me.

Presbyterian Radiology, at Kaseman and Downtown…read more How long does it take to NOT get scheduled for imaging? I was injured in a fall on a Monday. I called a Presbyterian specialist and they said to go to an urgent care for treatment and get a referral from them if imaging was required. I went to NM Urgent care on the corner of Juan Tabo and Comanche. I had been there before and they always do a good job. They wrote a referral to Presbyterian Kaseman for several ultrasounds and an MRI with contrast. I was told to wait a couple of days before calling the scheduler at Kaseman for an appointment. Why do we need to call them? I've done my part, I am the customer. I got the referral and it has been sent to them for imaging. I've been through this before and know how crazy and inefficient these people are, so I limped over to the phone and called them after two more days. This was on a Thursday. I spoke with Alisa, she said they did not have my referral. So I went back to NMUC and made sure they faxed again. Catalina at Kaseman told me to wait one or two days and call again on Friday. Late Friday I called and spoke with Stephanie, still no referral. On Monday I checked again, no referral. This nonsense went on for three more days. I was getting desperate. I spoke with another woman at Kaseman who said they had the referral, and set an appointment for Friday. I took my copy of the referral to the appointment. The imaging scheduled by the technician DID NOT MATCH THE REQUEST FOR IMAGING ON THE COPY OF THE REFERRAL I WAS HOLDING IN MY HANDS! I spoke with Lala at Kaseman radiology who said she would look into it and call me by closing time. Ten minutes before that time and I had not heard back so I called her. She said she spoke with technologist Kevin there and he said the imaging could be done there. By then everyone was closing so the following Monday I called Bethany at Kaseman to reschedule. They said that they checked again and they would not do the imaging there and suggested I call the main hospital. The next day, out of the blue, Trisha from the main hospital calls and said that they do not do this type of imaging there either, and suggested I call XRANM or RAA. This makes no sense to me. I had ultrasounds and MRIs done at Kaseman before. I had physical injuries from a fall, and they don't image for this? I asked her what happens if the ambulance brings someone in to the main hospital who has physical injuries at 7PM Friday. Do you tell them to go home and call XRANM on Monday morning? Bizarre! In all, it had been 3 weeks since the injury. Many people in the Presbyterian system are poorly trained and are poor communicators internally and also with their paying customers. I finally gave up on Presbyterian and called XRANM on Wednesday the following week. With all of the confusion and mismanagement and long, long delays within the Presbyterian system, I think I finally understand the method to their madness. Because of these inefficient and long delays they are hoping that we either heal ourselves or die before the appointment date finally arrives. This is a win-win for them. Look for my review on XRANM also.

Upon arrival I was told it was upstairs. I was then ushered downstairs. I stated I just had foot surgery and I wish to use the one upstairs. The Tech told me it was broken.
