Date of Visit: 5/10/2026 We picked Orafo as our Mother's Day brunch! Orafo means goldsmith in Italian, which paying tribute to San Francisco's Gold Rush past. On the menu they serve locally sourced seafood, pasta, and main courses, and features Italian classics with California's ingredients and inspirations. The service was a little slow on Mother's Day which might be due to lack of staffs. We waited for about 5 minutes outside of the restaurant for server to come out to greet us. And it was a little hard to get a hold of our server to order, and the foods came out longer than usual. Mimosa $20 Husband got the mimosa with orange, peach, and pineapple. Honey Lavender Spice Latte $14 I ordered the honey lavender latte. The taste of lavender was not obvious. Tagliatelle $30 Husband loves the tagliatelle with clam, herbs, white wine, anchovy, garlic, and confit tomatoes. The creamy white wine sauce was on the point and gave highlight to the pasta. Lobster Benedict $38 I ordered the famous lobster benedict with local English muffin at the bottom, and on top there were butter poached lobster tail and poached egg with traditional Hollandaise sauce. Solid Italian restaurant in FiDi. It's located inside the Four Seasons, so harder to find, but enters through the lobby of the hotel and on the left. Food was delicious and service was really attentive. Restaurant is much more than a normal hotel restaurant, and I would definitely come back with a large party to try more dishes. Food we ordered for a party of 6 - Arancini - solid appetizer. Small plate with only 3 come in an order - Meatballs - these were very good and paired nicely with the pasta we ordered - Calamari - probably the weakest of the appetizers. The batter did not have a lot of flavor - Olives - good, but nothing unique - NY strip steak - cooked perfectly and comes with a bit of chimichurri sauce on top - bucatini cacio e Pepe - solid, but nothing unique - duck pappardelle - delicious! I personally love thicker noodles, and lots of flavor - Campanelle - probably my favorite past dish and bursting with flavor - truffle fries - good side with all the other flavorful dishes - squash - very sweet and I thought it was a sweet potato at some point - broccolini- a little dry and wouldn't order this again FYI - they charge for bottled still or sparing water so ask for tap if you just want regular water. read more

Decent pasta and decent portions in a very nice interior designed restaurant located inside the Four Seasons in the Financial District. Chicken sandwich served on brioche was good with a side of salad. Good sides of fried & calamari. The dessert with a scoop of ice cream served with what is suppose to be a flaky croissant pastry was not great. The ice cream was fine but the pastry was rock hard and we didn't finish it. read more

- Review of orafo's 2025 SF Restaurant Week Lunch Prix Fixe Menu - I had high hopes for this place, it being in the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in the heart of FiDi. We noticed that service was being exceptionally slow from the check in to the ordering and food delivery. This was during Restaurant Week lunch too but it was mostly empty inside. It was a $35/pp lunch menu for 3 courses (starter, entree, dessert). Not to mention the Restaurant Week menu was wrong online and we had completely different choices when we showed up... 1. White Bean Tuscany Soup - 2/5 It was fine but the rosemary croutons were absolutely soggy, and the soup was lukewarm. 2. Fettuccine - 3/5 Nice homemade pasta texture but sauce was bland and didn't really like the choice of mixed veggies. 3. Affogato - 4.5/5 Simple. Creamy ice cream. Didn't come with any biscotti though as described I also ordered a side of truffle fries which came as a large serving actually! But we didn't receive it until the end of our meal along with the affogato. (They forgot it). Kind of disappointing that the fries were my favorite item we had.. We got them comped for the late arrival but the service was so slow we had lunch for over an hour and a half. I'm usually hesitant about hotel restaurants, but Orafo was actually incredible. The service was great, a little slow at moments, but we still felt really well taken care of. The ambiance was beautiful with warm and moody decor. The food was delicious too. My salmon was cooked to perfection and served over a rich, creamy sauce, but the real standout was the truffle fries. Perfectly crispy, so good I could've easily finished a whole bowl on my own. read more

This restaurant is inside the Four Seasons. We parked in the garage and took elevator to lobby. Restaurant was there. It was empty. Looked nice and clean. We ordered our food. My pasta had no flavor and my husband steak was ok. Very pricey for what we got. They don't validate your paring ticket even if you eat in their hotel. read more

Orafo is a hidden gem tucked inside the first floor of the Four Seasons Hotel. For those not aware of Orafo's existence, you're missing out! This is my PSA to get over here. I know that SF is a culinary destination and only those staying at the Four Seasons will make their way over for dinner. Since the hubs and I were celebrating our 11 year wedding anniversary for the weekend, we wanted dinner to be conveniently located and did not want to try too hard for reservations since we scored some at Birdsong for the following night. Orafo did not disappoint. Hand made pasta! Get that!!! The steak with chimichurri - Ahhmazing! Drinks - bartender knew what he was doing. Service - I loved how our waiter provided food recommendations. Our whole experience here was so good. I loved that after dinner we were just an elevator ride away from our room. Came here for a team breakfast. Good service and kind people. Uova in purgatorio - 3.5/5, sunny side up eggs on sausage and tomato, paired with bread. Sounded delicious, but was very salty for me. Bread is crunchy and tasty when dipped. Two eggs any style - looked good, can't mess it up. read more

Sorely disappointed. Went here for a Christmas dinner, skipped the pre fixe. Our waiter was friendly and great, some of the sofa seating has tears in it which -- isn't this supposed to be the Four Seasons? The place is overpriced for what you get. We ordered the truffle fries which were good, but skip the chili caesar salad-- way too much spice and it just put a damper on what could have been just a good Caesar, the choice of spinach for that salad to is, interesting. I ordered the ciopinno which arrived less than hot and my partner had the steak, which had tons of fat all over it and was just decent in taste. For it being $68 I would expect a lot better than that sad thing next to the sad burnt/charred (did I mention sad) vegetables next to it. Part of me feels like they could use smaller plates so that it looks better and smaller bowls so the ciopinno could stay warmer longer. After the food was served our waiter then kind of just disappeared. This restaurant was a big miss for me. read more

A surprisingly great restaurant. I was a bit hesitant to dine here, but I am so glad I did. The ambience is cute and my waiter was so friendly and welcoming. I was dining alone and he was so kind to engage and we had a some great conversation. The food was also surprisingly delicious. I had the chicken and it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The broccolini was refreshingly full of flavor. I paired it with a nice glass of wine and had a great time here. Hidden gem located in the four seasons hotel in the financial district. Cafe is located on the ground floor past the check in counter. It's usually not very busy, but it's a great spot for having quiet business lunches and drinks with friends or clients. Love the atmosphere and hope my recent business lunch deal is a successful one. Came here for a lunch meeting. Orafo is located on the first floor at the Four Seasons Hotel. It's a little past the main lobby area. The portions are decent. I got a salad with a protein (salmon) and it came out in a really large bowl. Salmon was cooked well and still warm. Salad was dressed perfectly. One of my guests ordered some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and they quickly brought it over. There was only 1 server that day but because it was a weekday lunch, I think service was efficient and there wasn't any delays. Price is definitely on the higher end of $$. But I don't think that should be a surprise based on where Orafo is located. read more

Was craving bloody Marys, so my whole group decided to go stop by the Four Seasons in which my friend lives in the same perimeter. Shout out to Jaemmy for dealing with our loud, drunken crew. She handled it very well. I could almost say I was embarrassed to be around my friends. We ordered bloody Marys and Espresso Martinis. She made it spicy and perfect. Espresso Martinis were a hit too! Jaemmy recommended the truffle fries. The sauce is AMAZING! I was blown away with the sauce pairing. It was a fun experience nonetheless we were probably top 10 worst customers. 5 stars for Jaemmy because I would've been overwhelmed with my own group. read more

While staying at the Four Seasons, I dined here for dinner one night. I made reservations for a Saturday but there was hardly any diners so reservations were not needed. The food was good overall but not amazing. It was however, amazing for a hotel's restaurant. It's a great option if you want a nice meal but don't want to leave your hotel. My husband and I ordered the steak and a mushroom pasta dish. The sauce on the pasta was very rich but good. I wish there were more dessert options to choose from. We ordered a few cocktails that were made perfectly by the bartender. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. Overall, good dining experience. read more

Amazing service, food, and drinks! We stayed at the hotel for our anniversary and decided to bring our extended family here for dinner. We became well acquainted with Anton, an outstanding staff member who served us as both waiter and bartender. His attentiveness and skill truly made the evening memorable. His self-created drinks, which were featured on the menu, were not only delicious but also incredibly creative. As an aside, I noticed that some reviews gave this restaurant a 4/5 rating despite not mentioning any true negatives. This seems arbitrary given the exceptional quality of the food and service. It's clear to me that this place offers an outstanding dining experience that merits more than just a 4-star rating. All that being said, I highly recommend! read more

They served cold toast whose texture was that of toast that had been made a few hours ago and left in a cold serving dish. They served chicken breast that was very dry. They served a cherry coke and charged $10 for it. Asparagus was good. Pasta was good. Service was good. This is the most I ever spent on food I would walk away from even if it was free. To be fair we were there at an odd hour, 2:30pm, and the place was empty so they obviously didn't have their A team in the kitchen. But I won't be back. read more
