Lasagna of short ribs, Pappardelle, Gnocchi

We made a reservation the day before to celebrate Bastille Day. When we arrived at 5:45, the place was packed! Very fun vibes with everyone wearing cute green berets. For food, we ordered the eggplant parmesan to share, which was fine. I ordered the lasagna of short ribs as my main, which may have been one of the best lasagnas I've ever had in my life. The pasta tasted super fresh and I loved the truffle sauce the lasagna came with. My friends all agreed their pasta dishes were the stars of the show. For dessert, we had to get the tiramisu (of course) as well as the basque cheesecake. Both were tasty, but I think the basque cheesecake was actually the favorite among the table, which was surprising given the restaurant is named after the tiramisu! Overall decent food with the pasta standing out. Given that it was a special event with Bastille Day, the service was quite slow. We had to wave down waiters at least three times for each request, whether it was getting our menus, ordering the food, or paying the check. Our dinner ended up taking nearly 3 hours for something that was supposed to be quick and casual. I do appreciate that they were working hard the entire time, but I think they may have been shortstaffed for the event. Still a good time with friends though!

Authentic Italian in a 'Little Italy' type setting with checkered tablecloths & old school Music. Also, the Food is awesome. Starters - Nice Lobster served Escargot style, fresh & light grilled Octopus but Eggplant parmigiana a bit lacking. Mains - Huge grilled Salmon with a tasty sauce, yummy Pappardelle, Cheesy Cacia de Pepe. But the piece-de-resistance was the Cioppino - full flavor lobster broth with generous amounts of clam, mussels, shrimp, fish. The best I have had this side of the pond. The namesake Tiramisu lives up-to its name. Tasty fare, friendly & efficient service, must try.

Bastille Day celebration in Belden Place, perfect restaurant to enjoy dinner, food is great, service spot on, but because of busy event, service a tad less efficient, overall, venue, food, location, fun vibe.

Service is extra ordinarily slow . Very poor service ambience is meh... too loud. Poor hospitality. We ordered for lobster ravioli- it was so cold. Never coming back here. Other than balsamic vinegar- everything else sucked here

Located in an unassuming alleyway downtown, this spot is work a visit! Dining here really feels like being transported to Europe with all the stone walls and tile art. Service was nice, and it was easy to grab a table for early dinner on a weekday. Drinks are strong but taste delicious. Aperol spritz was amazing. The peach bellini tasted like real peach juice. For appetizer, we got the tuna tartare. It's wrapped inside a crispy cannoli, with chunks of avocado and a siracha mayo sauce. The fish was so fresh! Finished this in about three bites. Pasta portions are generous. I liked how rich and creamy the mushroom ravioli was, can definitely taste the earthiness. The seafood pasta was my favorite. Comes with a very flavorful sauce and black noodles. It was like a seafood boil with all the toppings like shrimp, calamari, and clams. A very cozy Italian restaurant, and now one of my new favorites in downtown. Would love to come back here to try their iconic tiramisu.

Oh my gosh. Amazing is an understatement!!!! Special thanks to Joseph from Michael Fine Art gallery for introducing us to this gem of a place in the heart of dt San Francisco. The food was delicious, the ambiance felt like we were sitting in a homey cafe in Italy. The staff were so kind and attentive too!! We will definitely be back!!!

The pasta was delicious and very filling I wasn't expecting that it would be so delicious!!!! I'm glad we were able to enjoy the experience and the dessert was very delicious and creamy texture. Best tiramisu I've ever had and it really lives up to the restaurant name I would say!!! The ambiance of the restaurant was amazing very clean and classy for the most part. I experienced great service for the most part and would definitely go again!!!

Great spot for a work team dinner! We had a group of 10 and Cafe Tiramisu handled us with ease. The service was super nice and very efficient. Standout dishes: * Crab Escargot, Tuna Tartare, & Carpaccio: All excellent starters. * Branzino: Fresh and expertly cleaned tableside. * Tiramisu: A must-order! The vibe is great and the restaurant is spacious. We had a wonderful time!

Came here with friends because we were in the area and wanted to try a new dinner place! The food was very tasty - we got various kinds of pasta, and I tried a bit of each of my friends'. Each pasta was very unique in flavor but very delicious nonetheless! We also shared the berry crème brûlée, and it was wonderful - not too sweet with delectable berry flavor! The service was also phenomenal, as the waitstaff checked up on us periodically. The seating area is a bit small, but the ambiance is great still! I like the rustic quality of the interior as well as the general vibe :) Overall would definitely come back to try new dishes !

Restaurant week! I visited with 2 colleagues for a business lunch & were happy that we were able to fit in a restaurant that was participated in Restaurant Week. I made reservations online which required a credit card (for no-shows). For $35, you can choose an appetizer & entree & everyone gets a slice of tiramisu cake for dessert. I'm writing this review 6 hours after I ate lunch & will probably skip dinner because I'm still full. The restaurant was pretty busy, but servicr was very good. I had the burrata which was delicious & had a bite of the beef carpaccio, which was very good. The pappadalle was so good that i devoured every bite. The tiramisu cake was light & fluffy, so we were able to finish our dessert although we were pretty full from our entrees. Service is very efficient & friendly as they are accustomed to the lunchtime crowd in the financial district.

Cafe Tiramisu is a charming Italian place serving up special dishes in the heart of financial district. There is an old world charm to the interior and it was packed on that Thursday lunch hour we went. With a reservation, our party of 5 was quickly seated and we ordered mostly pastas. Bread is $7 but worth it. It's a cheesy focaccia that can be shared. All their pasta is homemade and the sauce that accompanied it was very flavorful, even if it took about 25 minutes for it to come out. Linguini vongole was filled with plenty of clams and garlic butter. Our only thing would be that the "crispy chicken" entree on the menu wasn't very crispy (more like roasted). Otherwise, great place for a holiday lunch or work gathering.

We came as a walk in on a Saturday and we luckily were able to get sat.. I would recommend making a reservation since it's a small place and gets busy fast! The customer service was great and the food was even better! Will definitely be back because of these two reasons.

I originally had a reservation at a different time but they were…read moreeasily able to accommodate an adjustment for us. the vibe is dimly lit, great for a date night. since we had a party of 6, we sat at the communal table towards the back that can oversee the kitchen. although it was a large table that shared space with other parties, it wasn't small or intrusive to our dining experience. a very small gripe I had though was I didn't love the chairs at the table lol. they were heavy and difficult to move. we ordered a few crudos and pastas. we were surprised they did not offer to adjust the portion sizes to accommodate the table. most of the crudos came with 5 or fewer pieces. with exception of the oysters we were not told that beforehand and because of that not everyone was able to try everything. A bit more communication or accommodation would've been appreciated especially for a restaurant at this price point. that being said the standout crudo was the halibut aguachile. I think this was so fresh and the flavor combination is so unique with the sweetness of the stone fruit and the textures from the avocado and the hominy. the amberjack was also delicious too! it had a brightness from the citrus with the watermelon that stepped the dish up to the next level. the pastas were amazing! every pasta was cooked amazingly well and had an incredible bite you'd really only have with freshly made pasta. the orecchiette pesto was bright, not too oily and definitely surprised me as my favorite. the mafaldine cacio e pepe was a close second. the richness from the egg and spiciness of the fresh cracked black pepper was super, not to mention the pasta shape was so whimsical overall the food was spectacular. the dining experience leaves some to be desired. maybe not the best for large parties but for a date night or small party, this place could be a great choice

Amelia recommended one pasta dish per person in the party, to share family style (which ended up working well for us, since we also got three appetizers, and finished the meal with a small amount of yummy leftovers for tomorrow) so that's what we did, along with the starters... We got the "big juicy meatballs with tomato and pancetta," which were incredible; the bread was delicious and certainly is not just a side to the amazing (definitely juicy) herbed tender meatballs. I'd definitely get this again, along with the grilled zucchini with worm salt and mint, which was so flavorful and tasty. We also got the smokey romano beans with fire roasted tomato, which was also really good but just keep in mind the emphasis on the smokey flavor! It wasn't my cup of tea but that's for sure a personal thing. For pastas, I'd rank them in this order: 1. our favorite was today's lasagna du jour, which was mushroom! So delicious, with a crispy cheesy crust, soft tender interior, and an almost caramelized tomato sauce accompanying. 2. Reginette with pork sugo (meat sauce) and spicy turnip greens was next, which had wonderful flavor with the tomato-based sauce and pieces of pork but if you like it slightly softer texture it might not be for you (same with the fusilli; the go-to preparation is aldente!). 3. Fusilli alla vodka with tomato, calabrian chili, cream, basil, and added garlic butter shrimps; this one's sauce felt a little underwhelming and more watery than creamy, and I'm just now realizing that although the menu said four garlic butter shrimp (an extra $7), we only got three. I think I'd come back for the lasagna and/or to buy the pasta from their expansive stock, cook it a bit longer, and serve it covered in a decadent creamy sauce.

My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and our bartender was very attentive without being overbearing and very knowledgeable--he gave thorough, detailed descriptions and recommendations on the wine list and the food menu (beyond what I would've expected). He even replaced my water and apologized after realizing he poured it to the brim, which really wasn't an issue but I appreciated his correction anyway. We ordered the side of wood grilled corn to start, I ordered the malfadine al limone pasta and my boyfriend ordered the spaghetti pomodoro. The wood grilled corn had a nice char to it and we enjoyed the accompanying sauce and cheese on top; however, based on the menu description I was expecting a little more of a Calabrian chili flavor / kick. The pomodoro was good but nothing to write home about, and the malfadine was a bit of a surprise / the highlight! I enjoyed the curly pasta texture and loved the lightness of the sauce paired with the salt flavor and complexity of the salmon roe on top. We love a good dessert but nothing caught our eye on the menu this time, as we don't prefer the soft, creamy desserts like panna cotta (as opposed to something more tangible like a cannoli). Lastly, we also had the following glasses of wine: Verdecchio, Verdeca, Montepulciano, and the Carignan Blend. As someone that loves crisp white wines with high acidity and minerality, I loved the Verdecchio. The Verdeca was refreshing but too light and not fruit forward enough for my preference. We both liked the Carignan, as we like deeper berry flavors, and the Montepulciano was OK (didn't love but didn't dislike). Would definitely love to come back and try some of the other wine varieties and menu options!
