Bastille Day celebration in Belden Place, perfect restaurant to enjoy dinner, food is great, service spot on, but because of busy event, service a tad less efficient, overall, venue, food, location, fun vibe.

The pasta was delicious and very filling I wasn't expecting that it would be so delicious!!!! I'm glad we were able to enjoy the experience and the dessert was very delicious and creamy texture. Best tiramisu I've ever had and it really lives up to the restaurant name I would say!!! The ambiance of the restaurant was amazing very clean and classy for the most part. I experienced great service for the most part and would definitely go again!!!

Located in an unassuming alleyway downtown, this spot is work a visit! Dining here really feels like being transported to Europe with all the stone walls and tile art. Service was nice, and it was easy to grab a table for early dinner on a weekday. Drinks are strong but taste delicious. Aperol spritz was amazing. The peach bellini tasted like real peach juice. For appetizer, we got the tuna tartare. It's wrapped inside a crispy cannoli, with chunks of avocado and a siracha mayo sauce. The fish was so fresh! Finished this in about three bites. Pasta portions are generous. I liked how rich and creamy the mushroom ravioli was, can definitely taste the earthiness. The seafood pasta was my favorite. Comes with a very flavorful sauce and black noodles. It was like a seafood boil with all the toppings like shrimp, calamari, and clams. A very cozy Italian restaurant, and now one of my new favorites in downtown. Would love to come back here to try their iconic tiramisu.

Oh my gosh. Amazing is an understatement!!!! Special thanks to Joseph from Michael Fine Art gallery for introducing us to this gem of a place in the heart of dt San Francisco. The food was delicious, the ambiance felt like we were sitting in a homey cafe in Italy. The staff were so kind and attentive too!! We will definitely be back!!!

Great spot for a work team dinner! We had a group of 10 and Cafe Tiramisu handled us with ease. The service was super nice and very efficient. Standout dishes: * Crab Escargot, Tuna Tartare, & Carpaccio: All excellent starters. * Branzino: Fresh and expertly cleaned tableside. * Tiramisu: A must-order! The vibe is great and the restaurant is spacious. We had a wonderful time!

Came here with friends because we were in the area and wanted to try a new dinner place! The food was very tasty - we got various kinds of pasta, and I tried a bit of each of my friends'. Each pasta was very unique in flavor but very delicious nonetheless! We also shared the berry crème brûlée, and it was wonderful - not too sweet with delectable berry flavor! The service was also phenomenal, as the waitstaff checked up on us periodically. The seating area is a bit small, but the ambiance is great still! I like the rustic quality of the interior as well as the general vibe :) Overall would definitely come back to try new dishes !

Restaurant week! I visited with 2 colleagues for a business lunch & were happy that we were able to fit in a restaurant that was participated in Restaurant Week. I made reservations online which required a credit card (for no-shows). For $35, you can choose an appetizer & entree & everyone gets a slice of tiramisu cake for dessert. I'm writing this review 6 hours after I ate lunch & will probably skip dinner because I'm still full. The restaurant was pretty busy, but servicr was very good. I had the burrata which was delicious & had a bite of the beef carpaccio, which was very good. The pappadalle was so good that i devoured every bite. The tiramisu cake was light & fluffy, so we were able to finish our dessert although we were pretty full from our entrees. Service is very efficient & friendly as they are accustomed to the lunchtime crowd in the financial district.

Cafe Tiramisu is a charming Italian place serving up special dishes in the heart of financial district. There is an old world charm to the interior and it was packed on that Thursday lunch hour we went. With a reservation, our party of 5 was quickly seated and we ordered mostly pastas. Bread is $7 but worth it. It's a cheesy focaccia that can be shared. All their pasta is homemade and the sauce that accompanied it was very flavorful, even if it took about 25 minutes for it to come out. Linguini vongole was filled with plenty of clams and garlic butter. Our only thing would be that the "crispy chicken" entree on the menu wasn't very crispy (more like roasted). Otherwise, great place for a holiday lunch or work gathering.

We came as a walk in on a Saturday and we luckily were able to get sat.. I would recommend making a reservation since it's a small place and gets busy fast! The customer service was great and the food was even better! Will definitely be back because of these two reasons.

I'm glad I gave Cafe Tiramisu a try. It's a cute little Italian spot with solid pizza, nice atmosphere, and staff that is both welcoming and slightly abrasive at the same time. It's a bit tricky to find, because it's in an alley off one of the main streets, but that does kind of add to the charm. Be sure to save space for the cheesecake. It's amazing.

Dinner last night with a party of 12 was a blast. Be sure to make a reservation if you have a larger party. The food was great. I had the spicy angel hair lobster which was fantastic and a pretty big portion. Also make sure to try the octopus! Service was great and we always had a heavy pour on the drinks. The cafe is super tucked back and had a great vibe

Third time's the charm!…read more The first two times we tried to eat at Hog Island Oyster Co., we took one look at the line and walked away. This visit, we came determined to finally see what all the hype was about--and I'm so glad we did. The wait was about 30 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad for such a popular spot. The best part? Once we were seated, service was incredibly efficient. Our food arrived quickly, giving us more time to savor every bite. The oysters were as fresh as they come--briny, sweet, and tasting like they had just come out of the bay. We ordered all three grilled oyster varieties, and each one was outstanding. The toppings added layers of flavor without masking what makes a great oyster so special: its delicate natural sweetness. It's a balance that's surprisingly hard to get right, and Hog Island nailed it. Then came the clam chowder. Wow. Velvety, rich, and loaded with tender clams, it had deep, comforting flavor without feeling overly heavy or salty. Easily one of the best clam chowders I've ever had. Now I completely understand why people are willing to wait in line. Some places are all hype--this isn't one of them. Hog Island absolutely lives up to its reputation, and we'll happily be back!

Tucked into a row of tiny restaurants on a bustling street in Little Italy, I felt I was stepping into a restaurant in NYC. There's a long counter in the narrow space and a row of two-tops that servers can barely squeeze through until you get toward the back where there are a few four-top tables. The menu is only a single page, but I can't imagine you'd go wrong with any selection. In addition to the cioppino, we ordered the pasta diavalo with half of a crab and it was also delicious. Note: you do need to crack the crab yourself which is a little messy, but the portions were large and the crab was already notched so it wasn't difficult. We all ordered wine-- I tried the chianti for $12/glass and, omg, what a pour! Nothing to complain about there either. This is not a place where you're going to have an intimate conversation, but if you're looking for an energetic vibe, excellent seafood, pasta, and cioppino, and good service, you will not be disappointed. Make a reservation though! When we arrived for our reservation, they were quoting a 1 hour wait.

I had steamed mussels with fries. There were not enough mussels because they were huge and the sauce was more a broth and not at all flavorful enough. I usually love sopping up every last drop of the juice. But the really disappointing aspect of our dinner was the service. There were 3 people behind the service station. All of them need a training course on how to pay attention to paying customers. Instead they were all engrossed in private conversation with each other or with one particular customer. And one of the staff was simply intimidating, and very very loud. I suspected his behavior may have been chemically induced. Our waitress was very sweet, cheerful and helpful when we could catch her attention. But as I said a 15 minute training exercise each evening before starting work would work wonders. Like look around each customer every time you are not doing anything. And the more senior staff member was just uninterested and perhaps a little grumpy. So the food was blah, more flavor in the broth would help, and ok but at today's prices a "dinner out" has to be about more than just the food.
