I didn't take a picture of my pasta but I got the fettuccine alfredo and it was the best I've had in a whileee we did order the garlic bread and it never came :( but the pasta filled me up so maybe it was a good thing. The sauce on the side was deliciously creamy and paired really well with the dry spice on the wing. Absolutely delicious! - Caesar Salad: Each lettuce leaf was well-dressed with grated parmesan, breadcrumbs, and dressing. Super easy to share, and every bite was delicious. - Garlic Bread: Cheesy, straightforward garlic bread served with marinara sauce. If you're able to hold onto some of the bread, it is amazing with the lasagna vodka sauce. - Grandma's Meatballs: My friend prides himself in his meatball recipe and really loved these. They hold their shape and have a great texture -- definitely a recipe that's been perfected after over two decades. - Emmy's Spaghetti and Meatballs: We all loved this one. We had some drinks a few doors down at the Cuckoo Club and were finally seated 45 minutes later. It included Pork + Beef Ragu, Beschamel, Pecorino, Vodka Sauce, Dollop of Ricotta and Sunflower Seed Pesto Drizzle ($26), served in a pasta bowl. We also split a spicy Caesar salad salad ($14) which was quite good and a bottle of red wine ($50), which decent tasting. Super colorful inside with lots of fun art and the photobooth in the back is definitely a highlight! We took around 10 photos and managed to shove four of us in with no issues. Did Emmy's change ownership? The food was so appalling that I'm still stunned. The Cauliflower Balls were burnt. Still, we scraped the burnt part off one of them to try it. The white sauce that came with it was sour and off. It tasted like fish. The Spaghetti with 3 Meatballs was mushy. The meatballs were also mushy and filled with small green pieces, maybe lentils? The Semolina Garlic Bread was a toasted roll akin to French bread rather than the sliced semolina bread they've always used. We ordered it with cheese and sauce, but that didn't even happen. The Chocolate Truffle Cake was more like a fudge cake and had whip cream on it. This used to be a small cake and is supposed to come with a berry sauce and ice cream as described on the menu. I was super excited to try out Emmy's but I was a little underwhelmed with the food, I got the classic spaghetti and my friend got the spicy vodka. The classic spaghetti was fresh and the spicy vodka had a nice kick to it, but to me the pastas lacked in flavor. The pasta was cooked to a really nice al dente and the portion sizes were huge which I appreciated. The garlic bread was a table favorite but again just lacked flavor, the bread paired with the marinara sauce made up for it. They have to hate children. Yelp says they are family and children friendly but their menu has a whole set of rules for kids and says they will kick you out. I just don't get how a "restaurant" that basically only sells spaghetti can be weird towards children. They should really just list themselves as a bar because that's what they are going for. The food is bland and basic (perfect for a child's palate) and the staff is subpar. No one was rude to my kids but you could tell they weren't thrilled to have tiny patrons. This place is the best spontaneous discovery I have made in a while! Walking around the neighborhood with the intent of checking out a different spot but we were immediately drawn in by its eclectic vibes but still homey atmosphere. It was busy but we were able to grab two seats at the bar after a short wait. There were several large groups here, definitely great ambiance for that. Bartender was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and made a delicious and strong cocktail. We ordered the spicy Caesar - really delicious, could not recommend enough - and spaghetti and meatballs (impossible meat) - delicious in a comfort food way, massive portion. Other reviews mention that their other pasta options are delicious as well and I would definitely be down to come back and try more! Nice ambiance and great pasta options. Very big servings, two people can probably easily share one appetizer and one entree, and both be full. Wines here were also very good paired with the food. I never cross the bridge but Emmy's has gotten me there 2x! I freaking love everything about them! The ambiance, vibes, food, drinks, and the deals!!!! Monday night dinner deal - $60 cash only and it includes a bottle of wine, choice of red, white, or rose, one entree, 2 appetizers, and a dessert! There is an atm inside. They also have a Photobooth. I cannot WAIT to come back to this spot next time I'm in SF. The place itself is cute, cozy, and lively. The staff was very friendly and quickly accommodated my group of 6 pretty quickly on a Friday night. The food and drinks were so flavorful and delicious. The spaghetti negroni was something I was hesitant to try at first, but the flavors were quirky and tasty, making it a perfect pairing for the spicy vodka pasta. The only complaint I have about the pasta is that I couldn't finish it all! The pasta had a perfect amount of spice and coolness from the ricotta as well. I came to Emmy's Spaghetti Shack for their "Monday is for Lovers" deal which includes one bottle of wine, two appetizers, one entree, and dessert for $60. The food was delicious and absolutely worth the deal. We ordered the spicy Caesar salad and buffalo wings for appetizers and the chicken parmesan for the entree. The food was flavorful and the portions were decently sized. The place is so cute too!! We went on Monday around 8pm and it was very busy (I would recommend making reservations if you're going later in the evening). They also have a photo booth in the back that adds the cherry on top for a date night or group outing. This Monday deal is cash only however and I didn't see that posted anywhere on their website before going but they have an ATM in the back. Would definitely come back!! read more

Stopped in for their Monday night deal. We sat at the bar and were seated right away. It's an interesting but cool vibe inside. Sadly food was very underwhelming. The bottle of wine was terrible and could barely drink it. We got wings and toast for apps. The wings were soggy and just didn't taste good or have any crisp to them. The spaghetti and meatballs also were very flavorless, didn't come out hot, and meatballs just weren't great either. Wine was only a couple choices and dessert was whatever the chef was making without any options despite food restrictions. Such a sweet place! First of all, our server was super kind and helpful, remembering all our order details. Ambiance was cute, nostalgic, and homey. Also LOVE the photobooth, it adds such a nice touch and is a cute after dinner activity if you're dining with friends and loved ones. Food: For appetizers we tried the spicy caesar salad and cheesy garlic bread with sauce on the side. Love the garlic bread, but the sauce had an artificial taste to it so it wasn't my fave. The salad was fresh and crisp and so good! For my entree I ordered emmy's spaghetti with grandma meatballs and enjoyed every bit of it! Went to Emmys Spaghetti Shack this past weekend. Came for the margarita boots, left with an appreciation for the food quality, attentive service, and unique environment. To start, we ordered the Prosciutto Zeppole. It was our first time having a zeppole and the server was kind enough to walk us through the ingredients of the dish and proper consumption methods. Super unique appetizer that had an interesting, wasabi-like kick to it. For our mains, we ordered the classic spaghetti and the Alfredo. The meatball quality was really good - although I would have preferred more red sauce on the dish. The star of the night was the Alfredo - probably the best cheese-sauce based pasta I've ever had. They put these peppers in the sauce that give it a really unique acidity, almost like buffalo sauce. It helps cut through the heaviness of the sauce and makes it feel a lot lighter to eat. Overall, really really good spot. Would love to come back with a bigger group to try more of their drink menu. read more
