My couch has been LONG overdue for a deep cleaning; it was passed down twice before we came into possession of it, it has been moved to two different apartments over the past 5 years and for the past six months my puppy has decided that the couch belongs to him. Long story short, the couch was a mess and needed the deepest of cleanings. The whole scheduling process with Orange Coast Chem-Dry was easy. They have a lot of available appointments (except around the holidays) and have great hours. On the day of my appointment, the technician (Ken) called 10 minutes prior to my appointment window to let me know he was close by. He was prompt, polite and wasted no time getting to work. Everyone I came into contact with was very professional. The whole cleaning process took a little over an hour. Ken was tidy and took care to roll away my rug and wipe up any liquid residue. The cleaning supplies used was not excessively strong and did not linger. As for my couch, even though its not 100% dry yet, I can say it looks ten times better aleary. The couch is, for the first time, all one color and it smells great. I will definitely be using this company again to keep my couch clean and to get my shag rug cleaned as well. read more

Do not use this company!!! I got my carpets cleaned back in may 2018, the tech put a huge hole in my wall and told my husband to call the office. I called the office and they told me to fix it and give them the bill and they would reimburse me. I had some unfortunate health issues and my mother was battling stage 4 cancer so i put the work off. ive called 4 times since and asked to speak to the owner Robert. He totally ignored my calls and today said they would not pay for the damages.. really?? The owner didn't even have the decency to respond himself. Ive asked to talk to him many times and he just ignored me. Horrible customer service.. I will never use this service again!!! AVOID WASTING YOUR MONEY Stains came back after a few weeks. We paid to have stains removed and were happy for a few weeks until they came back. The same brown spots we had before have reappeared. Chem Dry blamed soap residue and refused to come back but tried to sell us another cleaning!! The personal service is terrific - particularly Chris. He is so professional and knowledgeable, and was a great help. We gave our son a 10-yer-old couch that had never been cleaned. We have a cat and dog and it certainly had a pet odor. They cleaned it, but we could still smell the odor. Chris was wonderful - he suggested a sanitized cleaning, and checking for urine stains. But when they checked, they could not find any. So he recommended no sanitizing, but an overall pet treatment. And he didn't charge us for coming out again, just for the pet cleaning. I've become a bit skeptical lately about Yelp reviews that seem too good to be true, but after experiencing the service at OC Chem-Dry, I just had to post. I would highly recommend Chris and his cleaning team, Ken and Robert. Chris was not only extremely educational about what I would need regarding the PURT pet cleaning treatment, but he gave me a fair quote for the entire cleaning, and his cleaning team were extremely professional when they were in my home. When his guys showed up, not only were they on time, but they ended up only using 1 gallon of the PURT treatment when I thought for sure they were going to need to use 2 (due to two new puppies), so my end cost was actually even less than my quote and they were done in about one hour for 2 bedrooms and a hallway. I will definitely be keeping their information on hand for future use, and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! read more

Got my carpets cleaned! They look amazing! Orange coast chemdry has great customer service. I made the appointment two days ago and they had earlier appointments but not for the time I wanted. I requested early am and the service rep scheduled the time between 8-10am. At about 7:45-7:50am Mike called and said he was on his way. He showed up on time and was super nice. He looked at my carpet and said he would do his best but that it might not look like the carpet near the wall. Well, he made it look like the carpet near the wall! I almost thought my carpets were gray before but nope they are beige lol. And the carpet was dry when I got home from work. Chem-Dry's are privately franchised - we used Orange Coast's service first, our technician was Brian, and we had the BEST RESULTS on our carpet. Our dog likes to use the carpet as her place to "go," especially when it's raining, so a few months later we had to schedule another appointment. Well, I called a different chem-dry thinking it was all the same but WOW was I wrong. The tech from the other place left white marks where he over-sprayed the dog spots and the whole process took far too quick to ensure the job was done. It didn't even smell fresh after he left! I called back Orange Coast same day, requested for our first tech Brian, and scheduled him to undo the poor work of the other Chem-Dry franchise. Orange Coast is the real deal. They do it right, they're friendly, they take their time, you can see the effort, and Brian is such a professional. Don't use another chem-dry, unless it's owned by these same folks ;) read more

Oooooh, unfortunately I have to change my orignal 4 star rating to a ONE star rating as it has now become clear to me that the PURT (pet urine removal treatment) has RUINED the carpet in my bedroom!!! Originally I assumed the stains would be gone as soon as the carpet was 100% dry. However, it has now been over a week since the treatment (so obviously the carpets are dry) and my carpet is absolutely ruined!!! You can clearly identify all the spots where they put the PURT as it is a shade FAR LIGHTER than the rest of the carpet that was cleaned...it almost looks like bleach spots everywhere. It looks absolutely terrible & now I feel like I have to replace all the carpet in my bedroom. Before anyone contacts me from the company (if they read these) YES I understand we signed a document that said the PURT *might* stain the carpet, but anything you do or get in life has those waivers and nothing ever comes from them. I know I don't have a leg to stand on (legally) since we signed the document and allowed the process, but I am EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with this and wish we wouldn't have done it. I paid $240 to ruin the carpet in my bedroom! MAJOR FAIL. I won't use this company ever again. I've had 2 bad experiences with 2 different franchises. Bummer. ***As for the owner's comments below*** Those comments are the EXACT reason why I said above that I wasn't going to bother contacting Chem Dry about my problems, because I knew all I would get are excuses, as they proved below by offering a whole bunch of excuses :). I used to work in the customer service industry and I ran my business by never offering excuses, only solutions. Therefore, if Chem Dry wanted to make a comment, their comment could have been, how can we fix this and get back to a 4-star review? But they didn't do that, they blamed it back on me just like I knew they would. If they wanted to get back to a good review and cared so much about their customers, then they could have privately messaged me with a plan to rectify the situation. I did not say they bleached my carpet as anyone who can read can see above, I said it LOOKS like bleach spots in the way that it is lighter than the rest of the carpet. It was just to paint a picture, I understand there was no bleach used...that's why I didn't say they bleached my carpet, I said their product produced spots on my carpet making it lighter and thus looking like bleach. I understand simple science with pH levels, etc....I graduated high school, and a university, and grad school...got it, didn't need the science lesson :) but thanks anyways! It's simple...before the PURT, you couldn't see any spots (regardless of whether or not they were secretly hiding under the dirt..which by the way, there was hardly any dirt in the bedroom, that room was the cleanest of any of them). AFTER the PURT, there were MANY of spots visible. The reasoning behind it scientifically doesn't matter for this review. Facts are facts...before PURT, no spots visible, after PURT lots o' spots visible! That's all that matters to the customer. Background reasoning is useless and irrelevant. As a customer I would want to know the simple facts about what happened, not about pH levels. pH levels mean nothing to me with a ruined carpet. I understand every single thing the owner said in his comments, again, the reason I didn't call. I understand that my carpet was obviously already damaged by the urine. I was merely lettering other potential customers know that there is a good chance if they use the PURT it will dis-color their carpet like it did mine...so think before you purchase it. Would you rather have a stronger smell, or a terrible-looking carpet? It's a choice that I think customers deserve to know. Again, yes, I know I signed a contract saying the PURT *might* cause stains, and I wanted to let potential customers know that in *MY* personal scenario, the PURT *DID* leave really bad stains and my carpet now needs to be replaced. Additionally, I know I signed that the carpet smell might not 100% go away, and in *MY* case it did *NOT* go away...closer to maybe 80% gone. I apologize to the owner that I was not satisfied with my experience, but as I said, I am not blaming Chem Dry for this as I *KNOWINGLY* signed papers that said everything that happened to me *might* happen. Unfortunately for *ME* everything that COULD go wrong DID go wrong. The entire purpose of Yelp is for customers to share their experiences with companies...good AND bad. Found Orange Coast Chem-Dry after reading many carpet cleaning reviews on yelp. I have used another chem-dry company in the past, but the price quoted over the phone and the price once they showed up were way off (about double the quoted price). Although I was satisfied with the carpets after cleaning, I don't trust that type of business practice. I appreciated that I received a quote immediately over the phone when I called Orange Coast Chem-Dry, as well as an email confirmation of the three different packages they offer. I was also sent a photo of the two gentlemen who would be coming down. I really appreciated that they were able to accommodate the cleaning on short notice, calling only one day in advance when another cleaner cancelled on me (and I know being in Laguna Hills I am a little farther out than their normal area). I received a call stating they were running ahead of schedule on my cleaning day and asked if coming sooner would be helpful to me, which it was. Took about an hour or so for the cleaning as my place is fairly small. Having light tan carpets that had not been cleaned for a few years I expected less than perfect results (realistically I knew it would be impossible to go back to being brand new with an 8 year old carpet), but was surprised at how near to new they came out. Ken was helpful in going back over a few areas when I asked with absolutely no problem, which I appreciated as I really feel those areas came out great with the extra attention. Carpets took longer than I anticipated to dry, but I also did not run my AC which I know speeds up the drying process significantly. I appreciated a call back a few days later to check on the status of the cleaning and to see if I had any concerns. That is what makes me want to have them come back out again for my next cleaning. I am confident that if I would have had a concern about a spot or area, they would have made the effort to come and fix it. Overall I would highly recommend them for carpet cleaning based on the service they provided as well as the actual results I got after the cleaning. Super easy! Scheduled an appointment via the chemdry website. The representative called to let us know he would be there in about 20 min. Arrived during the appointment window. Quick cleaning, carpets look great, dried in a couple hours with the windows open and the AC running. Would definitely use again. Feel sad that there are some others that had issues but really this was the quickest, easiest carpet cleaning I have had done. Plus no bad chemicals to hurt the dogs which makes me happy. I'm a heinous/picky type of customer and they catered to my neurosis without seeming impatient. :-) When I called to book the appointment, the consult was very thorough. I was also sent photos of the men who would be coming to clean; I appreciate this from a safety perspective. The gentlemen were polite, punctual, professional. I'd been doggy-sitting for someone and their dog threw up on my carpet. All traces (even under black light) are gone. I was told the smell would get worse before it got better (true). My car carpet was also cleaned and looks great! There was a years-old coffee stain that wouldn't come completely out, but it did lighten. I knew it wouldn't come completely out since it's so old... But now you have to squint to see it, assuming you knew it was there to begin with. read more

Chris was very helpful at the time I called and made an appointment for our rental property in Foothill Ranch to be cleaned. Chris was very timely and also sent an E-mail confrimation of my services and what was discussed. Ken and Robert showed up right on time and got to work! Their job went from being advised as an hour job to almost 2.5 hours as the carpets had a LOT of soap residue on them from our tenants attempt to clean their own carpets. Ken and Robert really saved us from our tenant's mistake. They managed to get all of the soap removed! The carpets feel very clean and soft! The worst service I have ever had! The owners, Chris and Rob, came into my home and were rude to me, told me "Your carpets were ruined when your dogs pissed all over them." Never have I been spoken to so rudely by someone I've PAID to do service. Here is what happened: The cleaners came in and did not bring the UV light in order to locate the spots. I was told they "forgot it in the other truck. But that's ok our noses are better." Then I was told that they could use more of their cleaner "the PURT" to get all the "unseen" urine spots out for cash on the side. It doubled the price! And the cleaning ruined my carpet! Six days later and the spots treated are still wet and have turned into large, brown stains. Please look at the pictures posted! When I contacted the owners Rob and Chris,they offered to come back and try to make it right. Instead, they were rude, tried to tell me they were not responsible and offered me absolutely no solution for the problem. I had to ask them to leave after I asked them to replace the ruined carpet and was told "That isn't going to happen." Terrible results! The Chem-Dry technician showed up on time and ready to work. Nothing against the technician, but the end results are very disappointing. The carpets are not any cleaner. The Chem-dry process is a joke. There is no "deep cleaning." They vacuum, spray and then swirl around the carpet with a circular machine, not getting the edge or corners (round peg-square hole). In addition, the dirt is not removed, it is just moved and spread around. I tried it and will never use Chem-Dry again. The steam cleaning process actually removes the dirt, grime, and pet hair.
