My work has been accumulating junk for years, and as Office Manager, I have finally had enough, and decided it is time to get rid of it all. We contacted Orange County Hauling and had somebody come out to give us a quote. The guy came out, wasn't overly friendly, strictly business. He looked at all our crap and gave us a quote of $480. That was one of the cheaper prices we had seen (we had looked at prices online) so we agreed to go with him. Once we were organized and it was time to hire them to haul the junk out, I contacted them and let them know that our property management company required their insurance info. Over a week went by...my help desk guy and me both contacted this company via phone and email numerous times. No response. Finally I spoke to the guy who gave us the quote. He said that he would "have the office people" send the insurance over that day, and that he would call me back by the end of the day with confirmation of our appointment date and time. End of the day rolled around, I never got the insurance and he never called me back. So, I called him. He sounded totally annoyed with me that I was calling. Do you want our business or not?? Next day, he hadn't called to confirm anything or sent the insurance. I sent him an email saying we needed the insurance info by 4 pm or we were not working with them. Never got a response. The next day my help desk guy called and left him a message letting him know not to come on the weekend, he also sent him an email stating the same. No response. My best guess is that these people are not insured. That's fine, I don't care...but be honest! They wasted about 2 weeks of my time by lying and saying they would send insurance info over. Pretty glad I didn't rely on Yelp for this portion of our moving hell experience. Not unfaithful, just had a dead computer. Turned to Pennysaver. Ted came out same day to haul all of the old appliances out of our new condo. Washer/dryer, fridge and range. $130. Major credit cards accepted, discount for cash. He was very friendly and professional. Unhooked everything without complaint, and pointed out some fittings it would be in my best interest to replace. He and his helper were very fast. But most important: They were super extra mega meticulously careful with my floors, walls and doorways. Not a nick, scratch, ding or drip anywhere. Our overall experience? Not pretty. We are a real estate investment group. We rehab about 6-8 properties per year, mostly in Los Angeles. We got a property in Orange County and our regular hauler didn't service the area we are in. This is when we branched out and found OC Hauling. The reviews online were okay. Their price and size of truck is what lead us to try them. Their truck is 16' long, which is longer than the average 12'. They came next day, which I was pleased with. I believe they were on time for that appointment. The first impression was good so we used them another 3 times. They were a few hours late for the second appointment. Not the end of the world. I would have appreciated a heads-up though. The third appointment we had with them was a morning appointment; in fact I believe Ted used the words "first thing". In the afternoon, our contractor called us and said no one ever showed. I called Ted around 3 pm (no he didn't call me) and he said he was super backed up and couldn't make it that day. He said he also had his daughter's graduation that night (or something of that sort). We're pretty relaxed here and said it was fine if they did the job the next day. The fourth and FINAL appointment went a little something like this. Appointment was for a Wednesday. Never showed up. Never called. I called him on Thursday and he said he had food poisoning the day before and had to push us to Friday. Friday rolled around, never showed, never called. Additionally, he stopped picking up our phone calls. Finally, via TEXT, he said he would be there Saturday by 2:30. He showed up at 4:30 and my contractor had to sit there and wait for them to finish the job. Had we only used them for the first load, they would have received a 5 star rating from us. Needed furniture moved out of an old apartment ASAP. Customer service was super sketchy but they were the only company who could do it that day. $150 for one couch and one chair. I should have paid closer attention to my bank account apparently because they removed the furniture March 15th and didn't charge me until May 15th. I am not sure which was worse..knowing they had my credit card just sitting around for 2 months- with who even knows how many people had access to it- or that they charge whenever they feel like it. My finances were drastically different two months after the move because of personal circumstances and they're decision to charge whenever they remembered is pretty messed up. I can't say enough great things about this company. I am local general contractor and it's hard to find other dependable contractors that have consistently great service. OC Hauling is just that. These guys just left our house and I am so glad we called them to pick up our junk! They were cautious and courteous about our floors and walls while hauling out our four huge mirrored closet doors. They also picked up our commercial sized patio heaters that no longer worked and two electric big wheels that were just taking up space. These guys did all this for $175! Moving out of rental and downsizing. Turned to the penny saver for haul away services. Called and left a message. Got a call back right away. Scheduled a free estimate for 3:00 pm. Had to wait until after 5:00 for the owner and his helper. Nice guys, but they play the price game. Came in way high and we negotiated until I knocked over 100 bucks off and still overpaid for the service. Overall, guys were nice and I support a family owned business. I would use them again but negotiate harder. read more

After canvassing 3 refuse hauling companies, OC Hauling was the one that was able to come out on the same day as we called. They came out initially to give us an on-site estimate, then ended up doing the job. The 2 guys who came out were very friendly and efficient, and the entire job was done in less that an hour, AND the price was extremely reasonable. This company even hauled away some e-waste (a couple of old TVs and a computer monitor) as part of the overall job!! Just called to get a quote, and noticed right off the bat the guy didn't introduce himself. I told him I needed to get a quote on a pickup for a couch, a chair, and an ottoman. He said dryly, "it'll be $180, where are you calling from?". I said the pickup would be in Laguna Niguel, he said, "ok, but where are you calling from?". I said "Aliso Viejo", don't think I needed to explain to him or anyone that I am in the process of moving from Laguna Niguel to Aliso, but I am originally from Missouri, so I know and recognize that my cell phone prefix is "314". It's not as though everyone who lives in CA has a Cali prefix attached to their phone. He replied, "hmm", to which I proceeded to say I'd need to talk to my sig other to see if she wanted to proceed or not. CLICK.........I was hung up on, with no reply or warning. Ted and his son provided excellent, fast service at an affordable price, and the process for setting up the quote and service was very simple. We had a side yard full of trash, boxes, and spare lumber after moving into our new house, and were eager to get it out quickly when a heavy rain soaked everything through. We requested a quote through the website late on Saturday night and got an immediate response to set up an appointment the following day. They worked around our schedule and were able to come by late in the evening on Sunday. The quote and service took about 20 minutes from the time they arrived until all of our stuff was driving away. I called on Saturday at 2pm, I was able to meet them at my storage. they gave me an estimate and did the work right on the spot. It was a little higher than most hauling companies,(most were offering 200.00 - 240.00 mine was $350. but for same day service, that fast i can understand. When it was all moved, they even swept up all the dust and debris. At the end of the day, It was worth it. I dont have to use the storage company anymore and i dont have them hunting me down for 500.00 abandonment for the garbage i would have left. read more

They called 30 minutes before arriving to confirm they were on their way. Buyer beware. Be sure to get a free estimate before proceeding with your haul away. Another review indicated they were only charged $130 to haul away 4 large appliances. I was charged $125 to haul away 3 chairs, an old wooden garden box, a half dozen plastic plant landscaping buckets and a two panel shower enclosure made from safety glass. When asked why the price discrepancy between what others say they were charged, Ted said he charges more for glass said (with some attitude). Isn't that why you have insurance? Wish I had read the reviews before hiring. Next time I will look elsewhere for a hauling service. Very disappointed with the pricing and response. read more

You are in GREAT hands with this one!!! I was in a critical situation where I had to be out of my home in 72 hours and just didn't have enough manpower to finish this overwhelming backbreaking job. I was exhausted, hurting and wasn't making a dent in removing the huge mounds of trash around my 1 acre property.
