I wish I had called Paul at OC Sliding Door first. My first call was to a different company who advertised in one of those weekly home magazines. That other company was unprofessional and quoted prices that were outrageously high. Like take a crazy high number and multiply that by 4. My patio door is two sliding doors. One of them when trying to close it was such in pain in the arse. You'd have to pretty much lift it off the track to move it and they'd make a lot of noise. The other one wasn't much better. After looking on yelp I saw that Paul from Orange County Sliding Door does patio door repair. Paul came out, removed the doors, replaced the wheels, and put the doors back on. After watching him do it I'm glad I hired somebody because I would have ended up breaking the glass knowing my luck. My wife and I couldn't be happier with our experience with Paul. He replaced a sliding glass door leading from our kitchen to backyard and from beginning to end his service and work were top notch! Paul was always very punctual and courteous for all appointments. He provided a well priced quote, ordered the product for us and set up the install date after receiving it. During the installation he ran into an issue where the previous door's base had been installed partially under our tile floor in the kitchen. This made the job a lot more difficult and created the possibility of damage to our floor. Paul made us aware of the issue and assured us he'd do his best to get the best outcome for us. In the end he was able to complete the job flawlessly without any damage to our floor and at no additional cost, even though it made the job harder and longer for him. My sliding glass door had been broken for awhile--kept sticking to the track and I would literally have to lift the door while dragging it across to open or close it. Doing a quick search on Yelp for "sliding glass door repairs," I was so happy to have found this company with great reviews. I contacted Paul, the owner/operator, on a Thursday, and we scheduled for him to come out the following Tuesday. He determined the problem quickly (broken rollers/bearings) and fixed it on the spot within 30-40 minutes tops. He didn't even have to remove the door!
