Before my first appointment, I read some negative reviews and felt a bit concerned--but that quickly changed. After going through a difficult recovery from surgery, including an infection and wounds that were not healing, I was referred to OC Wound Care. That referral truly marked the beginning of my healing journey. I started to see noticeable improvement after just my second appointment. Dr. Dhillon is excellent. He is straightforward and to the point, clearly explaining what was happening with my wounds and outlining a solid treatment plan. He gave me clear instructions for my care at home, and I made sure to follow them closely. It truly felt like a team effort, and together we reached the finish line. Today was my final appointment. While I'm incredibly happy to be fully healed, I'm also a little sad that I won't be seeing the team anymore. The entire staff made a positive impact--the front desk is friendly and efficient, and the assistants are kind, gentle, and attentive. The doctors and staff go above and beyond for their patience! They listen and provide the most professional medical advice. One bit of advice, when in question about anything.... You simply just need to ask. The care I have received has been over the top! I feel so lucky and appreciative to not just the doctors but also the assistants that when asked were happy to oblige. Can't leave out the front desk people who answer the phones.... Too many times they had to take my calls telling them I'm running late...pretty certain I must have annoyed them but even still they never showed that. sooooo unprofessional, had my wound care done by a taller girl named paloma, she was in the room with another shorter girl. They paid no mind to me and they were talking about the other staff. They were being so rude and disrespectful, using curse words around me like I wasn't even there. To top off, my wrap fell off 30 minutes after I left. maybe if Paloma would've been paying attention instead of yapping her mouth to the other unprofessional this could've been avoided. ive been coming to the clinic for 3 years and they keep losing staff, the one they have now should be supervised. this is so unprofessional of them. looking for a new wound care near by! read more

We went today for my husbands first time for a wound on his big toe! We got there 30 minutes before the appointment filled out all paperwork then waited until 4:00pm and asked when will he be called in? The receptionist said let me check we are short staffed today! She came back and said she'll be calling you in shortly they were sitting around drinking their Starbucks and just chatting so a few minutes later I told her our ride will be here to pick us up to go back home. She said can't you call the ride to pick you up a little later? I told her no I can't and we walked out unhappy and mad so unprofessional and their attitudes stunk! Shame on them we won't be returning! So frustrating! Don't go there ever! read more

I wish I could leave separate reviews for the staff (ma, pa etc.) and for the doctor. I really love the staff here and I don't mind going at all. It's usually pretty fast. The doctor (that I see, there are more than one) does not answer questions and is kind of rude! Don't ask how much longer he thinks until you don't need wound care anymore! Make sure you are seeing your primary or some other doctor too. I have been there WAY to long for the wound I came with. My entire summer of not being able to go in the water! I have been going to the Laguna Hills location for 4 months. Dr. Kosher was very caring and understanding. I also saw Dr. Polansk, (the podiatrist). He was also very knowledgeable and kind. All of the nurses treated me with the upmost care and were very friendly. Stacy, the receptionist, was courteous and friendly. 1:15pm appointment for a wound on my leg. Arrived about 1:05 or so. Checked in and took a seat in the waiting room. I was the only patient in the room. The reception and assistant staff, behind the glass, 4 or 5 people, are all talking to each other, joking, laughing, all very loud. Gossiping about other people. Someone says something funny and they all scream with laughter. 1:30pm, another patient walks in. He checks in, they take him in right away. 1:45pm, a lady walks into the area where the assistants are, and starts talking to them about Halloween. They are all, very loud, again, laughing with her and joking around. (Apparently there's not a lot of work to be done). She then takes out her phone and starts showing photos and videos of her in her Halloween costumes (I know this because they are all talking so loud). They are screaming with delight at her costume photos, laughing, having a grand time. 2:00pm, another patient walks in, checks in, gets taken in right away. Still the only person in the waiting room. At about 2:15pm - an hour after my appointment time - I'm thinking, maybe I have the wrong time. I go to the window and inquire about my appointment time. The assistant looks it up, then looks at the clock, and says "oh my, I have 1:15 for your appointment, you should have been called by now, let me see what's going on". I told him not to bother, and left. Waited over an hour for my appointment, where something got crossed up. I get there are mistakes once in a while. But I'd have thought that perhaps one of the 4 assistants, maybe the one who checked me in, might have noticed I was waiting so long, and taken the initiative to see what's up. But since the environment was more like the social hour in a break room than a business office, I guess not. Extremely unprofessional. Taking my wound elsewhere. read more

Untrained wound staff. They did more harm then good. Always late, and an attitude that they don't want to be there. The rapping of the wound was to loose or to tight. I went there with one wound which healed but the rapping made others. I had over ten new wounds from bad rapping. The doctors spend less then a minute looking at the foot and left and there attitude was that one more wound, more money. I guess in over four months, two times a week, they charged a lot. Too bad there's not a multiple star rating system. The doctors, PA's & Techs would get 8-10 out of 10. Oxygen treatments for wound care is high tech & very beneficial for the patient. Except many people with diabetes (who may also suffer from other illnesses) are not helped by this awesome technology because their health insurance won't cover the treatment. [Not provider's 'fault', I understand.] OCWCH's front desk staff on the other hand, would score 2 no matter the scale. Scheduling appointments doesn't depend on treatment need but, you guessed it, on insurance. Staff overbooks appointments so be prepared for a lengthy stay in overcrowded waiting room. Don't be thin skinned to staffbeing rude because you won't want to come back. If you're in a wheelchair, be Careful with front door. It won't prop open. You'd think with so many patients in wheelchairs, crutches, & canes the entrance would be more accessible. read more

The front staff is always warm and friendly. Dr. Werner is the best and he really cares. The entire staff is in oerfect harmony. I have never waited more then 10 minutes past my appointment time. Both of the rear entrance doors have electronic openers for wheelchairs. Of all my doctors this place is the best. read more

Hands down Dr.Werner is the best! I been coming here for a year and I always get treated with the utmost respect the front receptionist (Hispanic) is very professional very polite I wish other Drs. that ive delt with in the past had workers like her,and also the ones that do my treatment twice a week do a good job! Ive never had problems with my dressing changes. And just to note my problem is chronic i been dealing with it since 2003. What numerous doctors and surgeons (2 past surgeries) couldn't do in years Dr.Werner accomplished the impossible! in one year! he made me appreciate life more and made me very happy that I refused an amputation in 2005 and 2007. Unfortunately I can't say the same for some of his staff and partner thanks to her I minus one star. I refused to give five stars when she made me feel I was back in prison talking to me in a very angry tone plus I got blamed for her paying her employees over time when in reality we(patients)pay for it! For some reason I got thee aroma that it was because I was Hispanic (just a hunch)but I hope I'm wrong for the sake of other patients like me. read more
