I found my new stylist! RACHEL is awesome! I went to see her because of a haircut that I hated from a previously stylist (done elsewhere). I explained to her what I wanted and she listened! There's nothing better than a hair stylist that listens to what you want. It's been a fail finding a new stylist and now I found the one and I couldn't be happier! Rachel is also friendly, professional and courteous. Oh and the icing on the cake is when I was offered a hand massage (which I declined) and the scalp massage :). I made the appointment based on the reviews and many personal recommendations. I was running about 5 minutes late so I called right at 11am to inform them that I was on my way...I get on the phone with a very nice woman who tells me that I don't have an appointment. the appointment was for a cut and color. I spoke with a guy who said he made my appointment and he clearly didn't make the appointment, which was pretty irritating. The lady that I spoke with when I called to say that i was running late was very nice and tried to help me by saying she could do a cut, at 2, but not a color, very nice gesture but when i make an appointment for a color AND cut then i expect what i made my appointment for. I wound up being able to make an appointment at another salon which worked out great! whenever someone asked for a recommendation to a salon, i will NOT be recommending Orange Salon. read more

The best (Paul) hair cutter I have had yet. I will not mention others in the area that don't deserve the 5-Star rating... Paul was able to take my fine limp hair and add phenomenal body and height...he is great at creating "layers"... It looked good without product, but when I added mousse/2B-glue to it, it sprang to life. I made the mistake of going to another 5-Star in Worcester, out of curiosity, and they were horrible! Took a razor to my already fine and lifeless hair... I will need my buddy, Paul, to help me out...again... He is the best...and very funny...should be a comedian. I will never go anywhere else! Everyone is so nice and it is an experience, not just your everyday salon. First you are offered coffee, tea, or sparkling or still water. Then they massage your scalp while you get your hair washed as you sit in a massaging chair! Then hot towels and an arm and hand massage too! The owner Paul is amazing and so funny. It seems as though everyone that works there is happy and confident which is what you want. I was lucky enough to have Paul cut and style my hair. What a great Mother's Day present to myself! First time getting a haircut at Orange salon and was able to get an appointment with AMANDA the very next day. She was very nice and polite. I told her about my hair thinning problem at my crown area and needed layers to lighten the weight of my hair at the top of my head and retain volume up there. You get a brief head, arm and hand massage which was nice and relaxing. Amanda listened to everything I requested for and got the layers I wanted while retaining the length I wanted to keep at the bottom. She took her time but wasn't slow at all. I would give my experience more of a 4.5. I had a very pleasant experience at Orange Salon. Jessica did my eyebrows, pedicure and gel manicure. She was awesome and gave great advice. Not to mention my brows and nails look amazing. The atmosphere of the salon is great and I definitely am considering going back to get my haircut. I thought, however, that it was really bizarre (maybe just because this has never happened to me before) that my brows were done out in the open where people get their hair washed. Additionally, the pedicure chairs are in the salon, so the sound of hair dryers and salon gossip were a little distracting. I think having a more secluded area for waxing and nails would have made the experience 5 star for me. Otherwise, the service was incredible and I feel perfectly pampered. read more

I went here last spring to get my nails and eyebrows done for the junior prom. I absolutely loved the care they took on my nails and they were so friendly there! The facility is absolutely beautiful and the girl who did my nails was very sweet and friendly. They did a great job on my eyebrows too i had no cuts around my eyebrows like i usually do from getting them done poorly. Although this place is a little pricy It's absolutely worth your money!! This is my second time at orange salon and my first of MANY times being serviced. When I walked in and gave my name, the front desk receptionist(I didn't catch her name) asked if I wanted a beverage , I said yes and asked for a coffee (the coffee is great !) a woman came shortly after and washed my hair like it has never ever been washed before. Her technique for a scalp massage was exactly how you would imagine how it must've been for the old herbal essence commercials. THE BEST ! While the conditioner was still in my hair she offered me a hand and arm massage, normally I would say no. This time, I wanted the full experience of a salon (I work 45-50+ hours a week on my feet and never get the chance to be pampered) I made the right decision. My hands get cramped because outside of my normal full time job I am an artist and my hands are forever at work. They cramp easily and the pain went away instantly. Let's go straight to the trim, Kelly took care of me and made me feel so comfortable and even worked a little faster due to the fact I was on my lunch period . She did the trim and blow out in a matter of 40 minutes !!! If that's not gods work I don't know what is !! She allowed me to check my phone without making it uncomfortable like I was rushing her, she was so understanding. Orange salon has a customer for life. I've never felt comfortable in salons as a black curly hair woman; I always left looking like a poodle because no one understood my curls. Kelly not only understood them, but knew my hair would take some extra TLC to actually straighten because curly hair retains a LOT of moisture naturally. Paul, the owner is so personable ! If something is wrong/off/not to the salons standards he is so very quick to fix it and not make you feel like you're wrong in feeling the way that you do. From beginning to end I was comfortable, my anxiety was at a minimum and I was excited ! I can't wait to go back . And let me not forget to mention, the salon itself smells like heaven. I just moved up to mass and was told that this was the place to go. And when I got there every other girl in there had beautiful hair with beautiful colors. I was getting a color correction done from box red for a few months to what I wanted a beautiful balayage. The girl who originally did my hair, Lilly, did an amazing job on the right side of my head as well as the back. But the left side was helped out t an assistant and didn't come out as well. The blonde went up my higher than the other side and wasn't blended well. As well as a few dark pokadot spots. I came back almost the next day to correct the dark spots and didn't want to be bothersome about the shitty blending. But when it was pointed out to me I became self conscious. I made an appt a week later to come back and get the brown roots kind of lowered and blended better and instead had to leave with now a dead cut off from brown to almost orange yellow color. The stylist billy didn't even attempt to blend my hair the first attempt and when I asked him he reassured me "it always looks a little weird when it rinses it'll be fine" and when it rinsed it looked HORRIBLE. He tried two more times and now my hair won't accept the color and looks absolutely horrible. They told me To let my hair "rest" and that they "can't fix it at the moment" I'm i TEARS. Hysterical in the front waiting area. My hear was long and healthy and beautiful and now I have to hide it in a bun because it looks atrocious. There's no way 2/3 of my head looked wonderful and the one section that the assistant and now stylist billy have managed to completely ruin. The salon did refund my money but I now have to hide my hair till I'm able to get it fixed again. I would recommend checking who you have your appts with. All of the other women leaving this place looked amazing. I unfortunately do not. read more

DO NOT GET A BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT FROM THE ORANGE SALON IN MILLBURY! I have been receiving brazilian blowouts for a few years now. I have always gone to the same salon with the same person. However, yesterday I decided to try a new salon b/c the one I usually go to couldn't get me an appointment for 2 weeks. I have a feeling I was ripped off big time. Usually it takes between 2 1/2 and 3 hours for my brazilian blowout. Yesterday I had a color and brazilian blowout and I only spent 2 hours in the salon. Mind you my color alone had to sit for 40 minutes so basically my blowout took 1 hour. The hairdresser put the brazilian blowout solution in my hair, blow dried it and flat ironed it, that was it NOTHING MORE. I am used to having my hair washed (after the above steps), something else is put in my hair and it is then dried and flat ironed again. I was so taken back by how quickly the process took and the missing steps (not having my hair washed, another solution - not sure what being put in, dried and flat ironed a 2nd time) that I did not say anything. Instead I came home to look online if there was a different way of performing a brazilian blowout that I was not aware of. I did my online research and I have yet to come across anything that describes the process I had done or rather the lack of process I had done. I'm fairly confident I was ripped off and scammed. I am not sure what I paid $275 for and I'm suspicious of the fact that I had a brazilian blowout done in merely one hour. I am very particular about my hair and always have been. When it comes to my hair money is no object. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. They simply steal your money. It's a shame b/c my color that they did came out nice. Not sure who has taught them how to do brazilian blowouts but I can guarentee they are not certified and for all I know they did not even use the brazilian blowout solution - I should have asked to see the packaging. Anyways big disappointment! Many other reputable salons in the Worcester area don't bother with Orange!!!! read more

Unfortunately had a really bad experience here. Went in with some photos of the colors I liked asked for very natural highlights just around my face- very subtle and very ashy...left with yellow strips all over my head. Lilly was very nice and offered to fix it if I called back and decided I didn't like it- I think she could tell I was disappointed. It just looked extremely cheap and it was about $170...went to sally beauty supply and bought some ash brown hair color and fixed it...couldn't walk around the with stripes! Everyone here seemed very nice but results like this should never come from that much money!! read more

I went to the Orange Salon for the first time this past week to get a hair cut. I can't get over how phenomenal this salon experience was for me. The price of the cut and style was $45.00 which I thought was reasonable but after what I received I consider that to be a bargain. I was greeted warmly when I entered and then was taken to the back for my hair washing - first of all, they put you in these incredibly comfortable reclining massage chairs that knead your back up and down throughout - after a hectic week getting ready for the holidays that alone was amazing. Then I received a full scalp massage. Almost asleep from relaxation at this point my stylist asked if I would like an arm and hand massage while my hair is conditioning? Umm, yes please. At this point I am thinking, "Did I sign up for an extra treatment?" Warm towels were placed on my arms and hands, and then I received a full massage in these areas - aaah. My hair cut was perfectly and exactly the way that I wanted and the hair styling the same. Toward the end my stylist asked, "Would you like a makeup touch -up before you go?" - Umm okay. (At this point I was so content with everything that I didn't care if I was charged extra.) They did a beautiful job on my make-up using aveda products. I left feeling beautiful and relaxed. I realized at the end to my surprise that all of these extras are complimentary at the Orange Salon. Then, I get an e-mail asking for my feedback and requesting that I at least find one thing they could improve upon (couldn't actually) - at the end of the e-mail as a thank you for my feedback was a $10 coupon toward my next visit! In the e-mail it says that they want to be the best salon and in my opinion they are because they do these things for their clients. I rarely review on Yelp but had to for this salon. This week I am going back for nails, hair styling, and makeup with my $10 coupon for my NYE night out (and b-day btw) and I can't wait. Thanks Orange Salon - you guys rock!! :) read more

I always have a hard time finding someone to cut my thick, wavy hair. Orange Salon not only did a fantastic job but they I also really enjoyed the hand massage that I got while my conditioner was sitting. The real test of a haircut is not how it looks when you walk out of the salon, but how it looks a month later. The haircut I got here fro Laura sat beautifully for three months. I am so grateful I found Orange salon upon researching color correction services in my area! Lilly did a phenomenal job fixing the multi toned, brassy mess I walked in with! She took her time and I could tell that she's a true artist in her craft! I'm also thrilled with my new cut and how little she had to take off to get my hair looking so healthy again! Anyone doing a bleaching service I 110% recommend buying the additional protective additive (it's only $20!). Its amazing I won't allow bleach to touch my hair without it and the brand she used was one of the best I've had! I also found the price reasonable for my 3+ hour color correction service. I mean we get what we pay for and our hair is nothing to skim threw the clearance rack for! Everyone in there was so nice and helpful as well.
