As he was sitting down the barber told 3 kids who were sitting there that they were up next. They hadn't put their name on the list. I then asked the barber if we had to wait for 4 more cuts before it was our turn and he said yes. I would have walked out when I saw 4 people in front of us with one barber working.

Just a few notes: 1) it was extremely hot, like sitting in a sauna for 45 minutes before the AC was turned on. That didn't make it a very welcoming experience. 2) I was wondering why there was an ATM inside until I saw a sign for "cash only". For new customers like ourselves, we weren't aware of this and it did not state when we booked our reservation nor was it listed on the confirmation of the booking. Luckily we were able to pay by Zelle. 3) Charlie was past 5 minutes late coming in, so we kind of just sat there and waited not knowing was going on, a heads up would have been nice. Especially when you have it listed that fees will be charged to customers if they are late/miss their appointments or cancel same day. 4) Don't expect to be able to just do a spur of the moment walk in, it's by appointment only! This was just some feedback from our first experience here. Would it deter us from coming back? No. Would it keep me from recommending them to others? Also, no. Charlie was exceptional and more than made up for the few early on hiccups. Not to mention he charged me almost the same price for a whole hair transformation that some of those other places charge just for shaving down the sides. Thank you, Charlie!

A barbershop that isn't busy on a Saturday morning should've made me suspicious, but I was feeling optimistic. Wrong. The barber seemed inexperienced and the service felt rushed. I specifically asked for a simple neck cleanup, which took only a few minutes, yet they charged $20 for that tiny touch-up while a full haircut is only $35. That pricing makes absolutely no sense and feels like they're taking advantage of walk-ins. Everyone was friendly enough at first to get you in the door, but once the service was done the attitude changed. The manager didn't seem service-oriented at all and showed no interest in making the situation right. For a place that should value repeat customers, this experience made it clear they don't. Avoid this barbershop -- you probably won't want to come back a second time. The barber even missed hairs on my neck that were covered by the itchy paper around my neck. Careless. Do better, Sunset!

I'm never disappointed when Andi cuts my hair. For the men, there are several barbers in the shop that specialize in men's hair and Stew's is always busy.
