Happy to have found this shop! It's a classic little place with an easy going and non-pretentious atmosphere. I've gotten three cuts now, all by Jackie (I believe that is her name - furthest chair to the right), and am very pleased with how they've turned out. She is attentive and friendly. Great price for the day and age - $18! Up to barber's discretion. Cash only, other prices posted on the wall. I've been lucky every time I've come in has coincidentally been Friday mid mornings and have yet to have to wait for a cut. Actually cane in just after 4pm yesterday (Friday), and it was jammin, didn't have time to wait before I had to pick up my son. This place is a hit and mist. But the last time my husband got my son's haircut, the lady that cut his hair totally ruined his hair...My husband told her to just cut the sides... He even showed a pic on a guy with slick back hair... But the lady took it upon herself to cut the top.... It took me over 6 months to grow his hair to get it to slick back.. Now I cant even do it... to make matters worse my son has a bunch of cowlick on his hair and she didn't even cut it correctly so now he looks like alfalfa..... Good thing he likes to wear hats... The absolute worst haircut experience I've ever had. The guy cutting my hair quite possibly was on drugs or alcohol. I highly doubt he has a license for barbering or cosmetology. Very rough with clippers to the point where I'm pretty sure I have cuts on my head. The guy literally only clipped my sides after I clearly told him to take off 1/2" from the top. I questioned whether he took any off once he said he was finished. He literally took 2 more clips and said he was done. Wtf?! Don't even get me started on his blabbering. I'm so sorry for them having to close due to the overreaction of those in the government and health officials who decided shutting down the economies of the world was the solution for combating covid-19. I'm a nurse working on the "front lines " of this pandemic. I've not seen the overwhelming numbers of people crowding our urgent care clinics, nor heard of or seen long lines of people waiting to be seen at any of our ERs, or crowded hospital hallways with dead or dying patients. I been going here for a long time since it's close to my house. Let me tell you, i have my favorite Barber there, but she's not always working. I've had my hair cut done by other Barbers too. I've never been displeased. The wait time is never to long and the service is great. Over time i've come to realize that its a family owned business. Thus i think i've had my haircut done by Mom, Dad, and two kids. I love these folks, they make you comfortable and make you family. There is always lots of conversation happening. There has been times that the entire place, people getting hair done and those waiting, have been engaged in one conversation. You cant get better service. It was a little out of my neighborhood but I thought I'd check it out as I'm routinely in the area. For some reason my local barbershop has a problem with not understanding directions. Unfortunately, this place isn't any different. I asked for a simple cut and she understood what I wanted. Asked for a trim on the top of the head, leave the front alone. I even said my bangs so she knew what I meant. Of course a few minutes later I feel her cut the front of my head, the bangs! I shook my head and sighed loudly. When she was done I looked in the mirror and the front looked longer than the middle and back of the top of my head. I could live with that, it'll grow. I didn't remember that she wet my head and slicked it down. Out in the truck I looked in the mirror and she did the opposite of what I asked. The top was barely cut, the front was way shorter than the middle and the back. I had to go home and fix it with my clippers. read more

I've been going to this place since I moved to the area in 2011. I have my personal choice on who I use 99% of the time but if she has a lengthy amount of waiters, I'll go to whoever is available because they're all great. Never had a bad experience here. I take my 4 year old here and he loves it because they change the channel so he can watch cartoons on the TV while he gets a cut. Awesome place and great barbers! read more

I used to get haircuts here all the time but one barber ruined it for me. My last several haircuts all included at least an hour wait for just one or two people in line ahead of me, because one barber spends more time chatting than cutting. During my last experience which made me finally walk out, she chatted for ten minutes with the gentleman in her chair before she even asked how he wanted his hair cut. The time before that, she made three cuts into my hair and then stepped off to talk with her coworker about a wedding she had just attended. She's a nice lady, but needs to focus on her work and not her conversations. Great haircuts and a good price. Friendly service. Tried Orchard Barber shop based on other reviews here and the proximity to my home. I went in right before they closed and they were very welcoming and nice. I asked for Cori because I read that she did a great job with skin fades/mil style haircuts. She was very nice, personable and best of all, she did an awesome job with my haircut! I also like that it's not one of those barber shops that is trying to be all cool and hip with loud music, pool tables, etc. Just a regular mom and pop barber shop with nice workers. I will be a regular and plan on having Cori be my barber from now on. read more

First time at this local barber shop. I'm not quite sure why waited so long as Corey gave me an excellent haircut. I got a skin fade, which if done right look great. If not incorrectly, there's no correction except for complete bald and time. Completed the cut within 15 minutes and it was perfect! I'm surprised this location isn't busier! They are nice barbers. The wait is always too long and the older gentleman doesn't cut hair well. Always leaves the sides too long and doesn't properly fade from the top into the sides. Wanting to support our nearby businesses I decided to go with my older son to get his haircut and a shave. Boy, was I disappointed! There was one customer inside and the lady didn't even acknowledge us as we walked in the door. I ended up saying "Hello" just to let her know we were there. THEN, they don't even do shaves!!! What kind of business lists itself as a BARBER SHOP and doesn't do shaves? When my son asked the second lady working there for a shave she almost seemed offended. "We don't do shaving here". Walked in today to get my two boys a haircut since their regular barber was booked. Walked into a filthy shop, hair EVERYWHERE! The lady that was supposed to take care of us immediately looked bothered that we were even there. Then wanted my son to sit in a chair covered in hair until the other lady working next to her told her to blow it off. She continued giving us attitude, was annoyed my son because he couldn't remove his sweater. I immediately stopped the service before it even began. I have never been to an establishment with such horrible service. We definitely won't be back. read more

This place has never cared for me as a customer even though I have been a repeat customer for about 3 years. I always greet the employees when I arrive even though they typically ignore my greeting. Today though, was my last shitty experience with this place. All three barber stations where occupied when I arrived and there was no one else in the waiting area. Hence, it was my turn. When Sheryl finished with her customer (she's closest to the restroom), she started to air-blow her chair clean -ok, no worries so far. She then swept the entire floor of the barbershop -I thought, okay still no worries. However, she then gathered all of her cutting equipment threw it in a bin added soap and water and began washing her equipment one by one. Keep in mind that I arrived just 30 minutes after they opened. Her equipment could not have been dirty and I have never seen a barber wash their equipment after every customer. None of the three barbers ever acknowledged my presence, and Sheryl didn't even say "I'll be with you in a minute" or anything at all. She was simply ignoring me. I can tell when I am being discriminated against because of my Mexican heritage. The barbers are actually nice and talkative to everyone else that walks through that door -and by "everyone else" I mean, White; especially military. -not to me. read more

TERRIBLE! DO NOT GO HERE! My husband went here this morning and some new guy messed up his hair. My husband had to tell him how to use the clippers (press down harder) and show him that he wasn't even getting all of the hair. My husband's head looks awful and the guy didn't even get the hair on the side, by his ears! Can't believe my husband paid for this. He ended up having to do it himself at home. The owner should make sure their employees know how to use clippers and cut hair...Train them before you hire them and make them prove they know what they're doing. I'm using my wife's yelp because I do not have one. I've never had the need to Yelp a business, but this place deserves it. If I could give a ZERO star review I would!!! I have never in my life experienced such rude customer service! I have been getting my hair cut in a gentleman's style cut before it was trendy. I'm 43 and have asked for the same cut to every barber I've ever gone to. I give the same description and have never had a problem. I was in a rush today and couldn't go to my usual barber, so I decided I would come here. Big mistake! Tony not only completely jacked up my hard part but also cut my hair horribly! He cut my scalp and I told him to stop so I could see what he just did. That's when I realized this man ruined my hair. I was so upset and asked him what he thought he was doing? He at that point told me "to go" I looked at him confused and asked him what he meant? He said "just leave you don't have to pay, go" I said like hell! I can't leave with my hair like this! The other barber (woman) looked over at us and her mouth dropped open and apologized. Even the man sitting in her seat got up and was like go head and have her try to fix it. Everyone was aware of the hack job he did, but Tony. She tried her best. But still I'll be wearing a hat for at least a week. Which really sucks considering I'm going to a party tomorrow.
