I recently took my husband as a referral to this shop. I previously took my husband to an independent shop with diff barbers. They all had diff prices but don't tell you what they charge. It's on a first come first serve basis. I asked for a full shave and a bald shave cut, easy right? 1 big shave no specialties involved, no extra work. Cost me 70.00, wow, so this shop was recommended, they don't do razor shaves which is fine. I know that's alot more work. The service was great and the people are great. This costs me 40.00. Leticia was awful. I just walked out from a visit with her - she was short with me and tugged at my child's head in a way I've never seen at any Stew's locations across OC (and the other Temecula location). The woman cutting hair across from her was 20x more gentle on a grown man! I almost walked out with my son while she was ripping at his hair with a comb, but she had already done some of the trimming with the buzzer so I wanted to be polite; probably the wrong decision. The cut is choppy and his hard part is ruined for this hair growth cycle. She was swinging the scissors around his face so needlessly fast and didn't say ONE single word to a fully vocal 7 year old child who was polite to her. I tipped her 25%, which she was snarky about also since I had the AUDACITY to ask if they had tap-to-pay option. She didn't ask about tipping, so I had to have a separate transaction to process the tip. I liked that the location was a little newer and cleaner than the Stew's by Albertsons in Temecula... I go to Stew's once a month however I will 100% walk out next time I see this woman working. read more

The space is welcoming, and the whole team of barbers is professional and courteous. Kat always does an amazing job. The prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality of service. My two sons (19 & 17y) and I have been going here consistently for the past 3 years. I take cuts from the first available barber and they are CONSISTENTLY great! Just what I ask for and NO mistakes. My two boys bring in photos of a trendy style and they get what they ask for as well! Additionally, I get a friendly welcome upon our arrival and friendly conversation while in the chair, from anyone of the barbers. Walked in at 4:40 for a boys haircut. One of the women working there didn't even say hi, but immediately and repeatedly says "we close at 5" umm. Ok, soo what are you saying , she points to the one other person waiting and said "well we can but we do close at 5" and even said "I think super cuts stays open later" . Wow. Mind you we have been there before for hair cuts and another barber named amber did a fantastic job. We didn't stay clearly, as we got the hint and didn't want to risk getting a subpar cut for staying. Unfortunately we won't be returning after this experience. read more

I have been a long time customer of Stews. Ever since we lived in Ladera Ranch and now Temecula we have been loyal to this business. Lately the Temecula office has been sub par at best and today sealed it for me. I will never return to this location with me my family and I am going to spread the word throughout regarding the present employees of the Temecula office. Today I walked in and there was no hello just a rude employee letting me know that I had people in front of me even though there was nobody in the store except me and my son. I asked her how long I would have to wait and she was very rude when she answered that whenever she go done cleaning her station I get it she is probably tired and it's Sunday but that's not my fault. I've been waiting a long time to be able to get a haircut. The place I used to go to before "stay at home" closed so I needed to find a new shop where I could get good service and get cleaned up after my hair got ridiculously long and shaggy. I checked around and found this Stew's location was open with safety protocols in place. Drove up and read the sign that gave me the 4-1-1. Put my name on the list with my phone and sat in my car. I could see by the number of names ahead of me with two stylists working that my wait would be about a half hour, give or take some. The sign asks that people be patient. I get that. Some of us have been waiting along time for salons to open again. When I got called I was actually excited. My cut was done exactly the way I wanted with a nice conversation with a nice lady. Not rushed but no fuss either...I was done pretty soon. I don't go for fancy haircuts. Price was $18, exactly what I had been paying at my former shop. Quality of service as good as my previous barber/stylist and tip was well earned. read more

I usually go to another Stew's but recently found out about this one. Not surprising since Yelp had it listed several blocks away in a residential area and in reality it's tucked away behind an AM/PM. In any case, it's the same as the one on Margarita and Cal Oaks. Fun atmosphere, very friendly staff, and great cuts. It was my first time here and I'm growing my hair out, so the barber was VERY helpful with suggestion and patient as we made changes along the way. Thanks Sherry!!!! $15 is a little steep for a haircut, but I'm old school and used to sub-$10 cuts. Oh well, we're in a recession. It was worth it though. read more

My husband had this to say when he got back from stews. Not a barbershop. "I asked for a fade into a 2, tapered in the back, and trimmed on top. The lady hit a two on the sides and grabbed a larger clipper to trim the top. It was obvious she did not have the skills to do what I asked. After about 10 minutes she was done. I showed :15 minutes before close (5:45pm) on a Friday afternoon (B4 a holiday weekend) and the barbers had locked the door ....... I saw them inside, they did not motion or indicate that they would let me in. It was well B4the closing time stated on line and indicated on the door. Too bad. Prices have always been to high. I highly recommend Karla. I have stick strait hair and get a clipper cut so the precision is very crucial. Don't think I'd ever go back. There are too many REAL barbershops in the area these days who know how to cut hair. Took my son in once and he came out with an awesome spike haircut from an awesome barber. When I took him back a few months later, found that the awesome barber was no longer with Stews and the barber who cut his hair this time did a half ass job and wasn't very friendly to boot. I got high n tight and it was adequate but not as crisp of some of the other barbers in the area. I think they are selling a theme however are not living up to what an old time barbershop is supposed to be, primarily because they hire mainly cosmetologists and not true licensed Barbers! read more

My boyfriend & I came here because it is closer than the murrieta barber shop that we normally go to! My boyfriend was seated immediately & I explained what we wanted. The guy was super nice & did an amazing job. I can't remember his name but he has short hair & really big muscles... If that helps. He was very particular about my boyfriends hair, we would think he was done then he would do some more perfecting. It was good that he was so into the hair & making it perfect but we were on a time crunch! Not that the barber knew that, but overall if your not in a hurry he was a very good barber! For Temecula, Stew's is a great place to get a haircut. Since I have to get one every week I am looking for a quick and quality haircut. That is exactly what I get when I go to Stew's. The longest I had to wait on a Sunday afternoon was maybe 15 minutes. I do not have a preferred stylist, since they all do the same quality job in the close to the same time. I enjoy seeing the memorabilia hanging on the walls and there is always something on the TV. The only suggestion would be later hours on Sundays. read more
