The worst nail salon experience I have ever had. I have had countless manicures over the years, and nothing comes close to how awful this was. From the moment I sat down, the technician was rude, abrasive, and shockingly rough. She repeatedly stabbed, scraped, and dug into my cuticles with excessive force while I sat there visibly wincing in pain. Throughout the entire appointment she kept saying, "Too much cuticle. Too much cuticle. Too much cuticle," as though my cuticles were somehow the problem instead of the way she was treating my hands. What disturbed me even more was her hygiene. She used the same cuticle pusher/cleaning tool on every single finger after scraping away dead skin and cuticle, and never once wiped it off, disinfected it, or cleaned it between fingers. She simply moved from one finger to the next while debris was still on the tool!!! Gross!! I found that absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable in a salon. She also kept jerking my hands around instead of handling them carefully. Then, despite me never asking for shorter nails, she filed them down to nubs. To make matters worse, the gel manicure didn't even last a week. The strangest part was that after being rough and unpleasant throughout the entire appointment, she suddenly started rubbing my shoulders without asking. By that point I didn't want her touching me at all. It felt intrusive and completely inappropriate. The salon itself smelled unpleasant and did not feel particularly clean, which only added to my concerns after watching the way the tools were handled. I still tipped because I always tip, but I genuinely regret it. I left feeling tense, irritated, and honestly relieved that the appointment was over. A manicure is supposed to be relaxing. I've been a couple of times and likely won't be returning. I will say, their manicures last, but they aren't the best quality (texture/shape is never quite right), and they take forever. My biggest complaint, however, is that they refuse to change course if the color is wrong. Twice now I've had issues in which I insist the mani color is too bright and they repeat over and over that it is the exact same as what is on my toes. It's simply not. I decided to not rely on reviews for this place but I should've. To start off, the person doing my nails did not know the shape that I wanted (coffin) and asked her coworker mid-clipping what it was. HER COWORKER HAD TO GET OUT HER PHONE AND LOOK UP COFFIN SHAPE AND SHOW HER. At this point, I said I would leave. When she finished clipping I told her that wasn't what I wanted (was doing almond more than coffin) and a coworker rushed over to try to fix it but it was going downhill. They had to take the glue off and start over. I told them I had somewhere to be but she insisted she could hurry. WORST THING TO EVER SAY TO SOMEONE. Yes, she was nice. But she was rushing. I would've have never paid for something like this. TO TOP IT OFF. She charged me full price of $50 even though she had untrained workers in her establishment. I told her I had to push back my meeting because of this whole charade. I usually tip but at this point I was frustrated and to be quite honest, they didn't deserve a tip. I have been wanting to try SNS dip powder nails for a long time and decided to indulge for New Years with some disco ball nails. I am rating this place a 2 since i have come before and have had pleasant experiences, however, this last experience was the main cure from hell. To start the manicure lasted 2.5 hrs. The lady filed my nail bed down so thin I thought she was going to leave a hole in the middle of the nail. I told the lady at least 5 times she was hurting me...not once did she adjust the way she was filing, extremely fast, hard and carelessly. I then bled 3 different times...I understand if a nail technician makes 1 mistake but 3... After filing, she must have put 50 coats of dip on the nail which it was impossible to take off. The owner/no other nail technician said anything after i bled several times I finally went to a different nail salon to take off the nails it took 30 min to soak off because of how thick the dip was. This is definitely my go-to spot for nails. It's not the cheapest for gel nails; but they do have a good regular polish mani/pedi special. ( I believe $25?) The interior could be a bit more inviting and some of their equipment may by a little "loved" if you will, but this nail salon still provides the most consistent service and nail art in this area. The nail artists always shape my nails exactly how I describe and always have nice things to say to me about the color I chose. This was the worst nail experience of my life. I went in to have 3-week old acrylics removed and they had me soak my nails in pure acetone for over 20 mins which damaged and severely dried out the skin on my fingers. They would have let me sit there for another 30 minutes if I didn't say something because my nail tech had left and started doing a pedicure on someone else. I waited for over an hour for them to finally start on a SNS manicure. The technician aggressively cut my cuticles and made FOUR fingers bleed, and they continued bleeding throughout the service. There is even blood underneath the SNS polish on one finger. It was extremely painful and the worst part was that the technician kept using a brush that had blood on it and dipping it into the polish container. What should have taken 1-1.5 hours took 2.5. It was extremely painful and the quality was beyond horrific. I will never come here and would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Horrible experience. The tools they used were old and did not come from a sealed sanitizer bag, they came from an old one I saw them slip the tools in and reuse. Cold pedicure water, barely touched cuticles. A employee took her shoes off and cut her toe cuticles with it a foot of me for the entirety of my manicure. I gagged it was so disgusting. She was the immediately gave a woman a manicure without washing her hands after touching her feet and toes. My cuticles were stabbed by these old tools and lef me bleeding. I gave an 18% tip when I really should've given nothing. The nail woman yelled at me abt how I was required to leave 20% and tried to get her manager involved over it. This is my go-to neighborhood nail salon. Very reasonably priced, a difficult find in Manhattan, with consistent service and always able to accommodate walk-ins. Eva is my favorite technician; she's very detailed, even at the end of undoubtedly long days. She's also the only technician that I'll take up on the seated massage. My only complaint is that I think some of the gel polishes and gel topcoats are old as I've had several recent experiences where the color has faded/morphed or the shiny topcoat has worn off. read more

This a such a sweet spot in the lower east side. It's a fairly sizable nail salon compared to other places so a good number of seats so you are not left waiting. I got a pedicure (+10 min massage) and gel manicure (+10 min massage) and it was $70 which I thought was more than reasonable considering the care the nail technician took. I get gels maybe twice a year and this was one of the best sets I have ever gotten. Super clean it almost looks like I have fake nails. I also appreciated that she took the time to make sure the nails were even in comparison the the nails on my other hand as I had a few that had broken and were shorter. New nail salon in the LES and I don't know about all you other ladies out there but I am clapping for joy ! All the nail places here are terrible so I was pleasantly surprised when I was walking down Orchard street yesterday and saw the grand opening sign on the door . The place is very clean and the woman who did my nails took her time and did a great job. They have tons of options in gel colors and all of their gel colors have matching colors for your toes ! They had free wifi too ! The only things I would say they could work on was getting some magazines for people getting pedicures and the water coming out of the pedicure chairs was cold so they had to get hot water from the bathroom and pour it in . I'm sure that will be fixed soon though. Hopefully this place stays on top of their stuff and we can finally have an awesome nail place in the neighborhood !
