Everyone in the salon are very good at nails and my nails always look amazing. The only thing that sucks is that the owner is always trying to sell something. I understand you need to make mo he hut no means no and it gets annoying after I said no the first 3 times. Another thing is the prices. They charge for every little thing and crazy prices. $10 extra just to get the bails soaked off instead of filed off and sometimes they soak and don't tell you then your stuck paying it. Another thing is that they are extremely slow. And if you go in as a walk in they say just a minute and I waited for 1 1/2 before I left. Very frustrating! read more

My daughter and I had the worst nail service we've ever had. The nail people were extremely rude. My foot was bleeding from being scrubbed too hard in one spot. He didn't stop after I said something. My cuticle was cute, so my foot is sore today. My daughter never finished her nails . They left her nails soaking to do someone's nails. Anyways I wanted matte and I guess the layer of matte made it very thick so even though it was dry everything was denting and smudging when I got home and I was being careful! I got my nails done here last week and I got a new shape. I explain to the guy that I've never got the shape before and then I was nervous. The man proceeds to tell me well I would be nervous too let's hope this comes out good. I joke back with him and I tell him "don't tell me that" he then followed up by saying well at least I'm being honest and I'm letting you know ahead of time. I told the man that I wanted sleek thin nails I wanted my nailbed to be thin not thick. The nails he put army are extremely big for my hands and they look abnormal. On top of this it was a birthday gift for me from my friend . My friend also tipped him $25 without seeing his nail work first. Also the clearcoat that he use was already peeling off before the week was over . My friend also told me that Melina was extremely rude and told her that she knew what was best and was going to take over the nail design. My friend is not confrontational so said OK. As Melina continued with her nails my friend periodically asked her to change certain things and she told her no. This was my first worst experience here and I may not come back again because of it. I have been going to this place for awhile, this past week I blew 75 dollars on a mani and pedi. The reason being is I wanted to spend the extra 25 to get shellac on my toes so that it wouldn't chip and peel as often. Well here I am, barely a week later, and all my toes are chipped and peeling. They do a good job on your finger nails, they're very efficient with shaping and painting them, but I don't think I'll ever get my toes done there again. read more

Called on a Saturday to make an appointment for the following Thursday. Called the day of my appointment only to be told my appointment did exist so they told me to come in anyway because they weren't busy. Got there and i was placed with a younger guy. They nails were pretty but idk if he was just having a bad day or what but he has a slight attitude. Every question i ask seemed to annoy him. To top it off the i left with the hang nails i came in with. Then the pedicure. I wanted to just get my toes painted with gel. I asked for white and he painted ONE TOE WHITE AND THE OTHERS A COLOR I DIDNT ASK FOR . I was too tired to even ask him to change it. This place has very poor etiquette & customer service. Lost another customer due to bad attitudes & then nickel & dimeing me, when I, the paying customer did not like or agree with the way the nail tech, Melinda, had decided she wanted to do my nails. I was charged $5 for shaping my nails into a coffin shape, which they were already in. And then another $15 for a very poor ombré job since I told the girl that the color she was choosing wasn't the same as what I wanted or what was in the picture & then she refused to work with me to get it right. Newsflash: These are my nails. I am the paying customer. TIPS stand for To Insure Proper Service, which you did not. You were rude, talked about it right in front of my face to another customer like I'm stupid & then your mom who also talks a big game was rude after that too. Anyway. I won't be back. For a fill, ombre, coffin shape nail filing (which was really just a touch up, so that was a joke), & gel top coat I was charged $45. All because I disagreed with how the young girl was about to ombre my nails which was nothing like the photo I shared with her which she assured me she "had." & I assured her I also knew how to do ombre since I do nails myself, it's just easier & less time Consuming to have someone else do them for me, hence why I was visiting your salon at all... plus, going to a salon is also about the experience & pampering, which your salon doesn't provide. Other than good work as long as you don't disagree with them, they're fine. But if you do, they will be nasty, not Do their job because you made them mad by doing so, & then apparently nickel and dime you just to be extra dicks. Technically the ombré or the coffin shaping should not have ever been charged since it was done half-assed & not anywhere near what I wanted, which they all knew. And the shaping was just a bogus charge all around & you know that too. Sadly, NO ONE tried to rectify the situation. Either way, I still tipped $4 because I'm a classy lady, but I should have tipped $0 because ultimately that's what you earned which is probably why you charged me the extra. Anyway. I was a walk-in on Tuesday evening and treated very warmly by the owner. My nails are super sensitive and I am always nervous when I get my them done. My nails were done painlessly and perfectly. They had tons of nail colors and really seemed to care if I was happy with the job they had done. The tech did recommend that I do not come in on a Saturday if I didn't like to wait. My only complaint is that they play the background music very loudly- probably wouldn't have been a problem if I liked the style of music. read more

This place deserves 0 stars. I went in for powder dip nails and from the time I got there to the time I left it was about 3 hours !!! They ended up doing acrylics but charged me for dip (& more expensive than any dip I've ever paid for). The lady did not listen to what I wanted and did what she wanted but kept assuring me it would be right in the end. I waited for such a long time and then was pushed into doing what she felt like. When it was time to pay they up-charged the service by about $25 and when I told them that was nothing near what they offer as a starting price and that I wasn't told the price would be that much they couldn't care less. Now that that's out of the way, I am a nail tech in Florida and I have been doing nails for twenty-six years. For me to like a salon is a big deal; trust me. Orchid's employees are quality, especially the young ones. Nancy, not so much. But the young girl that does pedicures -- I forget her name -- does the best job I have ever had. Viviane and Jimmy are kind people; they don't want to turn away customers. If they know you don't want to wait a long time, of course they're going to tell you it won't be long -- that's business. If they speak in Vietnamese, it's because the conversation is none of your business to begin with. They don't discuss customer issues in front of a customer; that's a stupid mistake to make when anybody present could understand Vietnamese. So to clear things up with those of you who think they are rude, they aren't being rude. They're talking about stuff they have no time to talk about outside of work because they're NEVER OUTSIDE OF WORK. If you honestly know these people, you would know they're not bullies. They treat you like family. Honestly, I love Orchid. I wouldn't come to any other salon in Brevard. If you have an ounce of patience and the common sense to understand that PROVIDERS CANNOT SCHEDULE THEIR ENTIRE DAY AROUND YOUR PLANS, then you'll do wonderfully at Orchid. read more

I went here today and got pink/white acrylics and an eyebrow wax. - first I'd like to state that everyone has complained about the wait time it takes to be seen. I've been here multiple times and have never had to wait. Though, I come at convenient times when I know there won't be a lot of people, for example people come in during a lunch break, after work, and afternoons on weekends. Though, the only reason there would be a long wait is because everyone and their mother knows this is by far one of the best nail salons in town. - second they are great with accommodating your needs, they know how to do new and old treads. They help you decide what you want and I was even given multiple options about what shade pink acrylic I wanted. Also, they provide you with free soda or water. - third they have an Instagram! 'Orchidnailsandspa' it's great because you can see the amazing work and talent they have. This shows you what you can get done and so many possibilities you didn't even know most nail places could offer. - fourth, I completely respect all other nationalities and usually never mind having to listen to other languages, but I do love how all the workers here engage in conversation with you. They're really down to earth and funny. Overall the experience is great and at the end you're satisfied. The whole time my technician had me approve everything he did to make sure I'd love them. I hate seeing all the negative reviews and bad experiences because I love this place!! They definitely deserve a second chance if your first experience sucked, things may have changed since then. I started to come here soon after they opened. At that time, it was great. Vivian, Jimmy, Melinda were super friendly, helpful, accommodating, and willing to do whatever would make you happy. I ALWAYS made an appointment because I could only go after work. I loved it and was a regular for almost 4 years. And then, word got around that there was a very talented nail artist working there and all of a sudden, everyone started coming there without appointments and they were given priority. Even with an appointment I had to wait a long time to be seen. I was rushed through my nail service and even though I would ask for Jimmy or Vivian to do my nails, most of the time I was put with someone else because I did not ever get nail designs, thus, did not spend extra money. I felt like I was treated badly. If it had happened just once I could understand it but it happened again and again. My feet are always nice and my gel manicures always look good! They're always welcoming whenever I am in there, and the owner knows people by name which makes the atmosphere more warm and friendly! Well if you like waiting 5 hours to get your nails done, then this is the place for you!! I called to make an appointment at 4 with Vivian or Jimmy. When I got there, Jimmy was doing somones nails already, so Vivian told me to sit next to the booth next to his, so I assumed he was going to do my nails after he was done. After waiting 20 minutes, Vivian told me "hell be right with you hes finishing up" come to realize, she wasnt talking about Jimmy, she was talking about the new guy they have working there. I didnt gripe about him doing them because I didnt feel like waiting another 20 minutes!!! So after he was done doing my nails, I waited for almost an hour to get a simple nail design because Melinda was already working on someones design(for an hour plus) and mind you, two people were ahead of me. My Daughter wanted to try a new place located in Melbourne. When she was getting her pedicure she was told if she got the 25$ "deluxe" pedi the total would be $60.00. They did take her right in but it took them 3-4 hours to even completely finish. After completed her feet, she went to go to the next station to have paint applied. she then asked the young girl how much the total would be and she said it would be 70.00 because she got a mani pedi with "shillac" aka GEL. When my daughter went to go check out they decided to charge her 80.00 and say that it was an extra 30$ for the "gel" which in my opinion was taking advantage of my Daughter. She was scared to say anything and was very upset about the high charge she put on my card. I will be disputing it with my bank and I suggest others to do the same if overcharged. My daughter even said the customers next to her were complaining about the ridiculous prices!!!!
