I'm going to be honest, I didn't think that I would even do this however this business has left me pretty much no choice. I'm going to paint the picture for you it's Saturday evening 7:00 p.m. there's nobody in the salon when I walk in. I sit down to get my nails done another lady walks in about 5 to 10 minutes after I sit down. There's about four to five other employees sitting on pedicure chairs in the back just chit-chatting. The woman that is doing my nails barely speaks English that's important to know. There was a short man doing the other woman's nails, there's two TVs in that business one had music on and the one on the right had football on. Now I work overnights so I looked over at that woman that was getting her nails done and I asked her if she liked to watch football she said not really I'm more into basketball but only on Sundays she made a joke. I smiled at her and I said okay I'll take care of this and I looked at the short man and I asked him politely if he would mind switching the channel over because I personally was kind of falling asleep. He looks at me and says what sports isn't good enough for you I said not really I really don't care for it and we are at a nail salon anyways he goes in the back comes back about 5 minutes later with the remote sits down beside me and starts scrolling through the channels. After about a minute or two he lands on The History channel mind you he's sitting right beside me at this point he switched with the owner at this point so she was doing the other woman's nails. Anyways he lands on the History channel and what's playing, is all about Hitler he looks at me and says oh see this is perfect for you I said you know I'm Jewish that's very rude he said oh stop it's okay I said no I don't appreciate that he said calm down I said f you he then proceeds to speak to all of the other employees so the whole business had about I'd say six to eight employees at that time he made a joke to them in his language and all I could hear was mukbang mukbang and what I could proceed to think was he was implying that he was going to put mukbang on for me to watch because I'm a little bit overweight. Now normally I don't let this type of stuff get to me I looked at the owner her name was t and I said this is disgusting behavior no? She didn't really say anything, and honestly neither did the woman sitting in the chair beside me. So I spent the rest of the time and what I wanted to spend good money with this business because I wanted to get my Halloween set done It was really excited My children I have three children they love seeing my nails once they're done so I had a really cool design in mind and the reason I told you the woman that was doing my nails couldn't speak English was because she couldn't even follow the concept of the picture I showed her on my phone. She couldn't explain to me anything and she pretty much just kept laughing at me when she couldn't explain herself. I honestly just left with half the design done, I was going to spend a good $120 over there but after everything was said and done the total came to like $75 I tipped even though I probably should have not but I was really really pissed off I can honestly say. Anyways a couple days later my eyelashes started falling off something that I had gotten done two weeks prior at that business anyways I made an appointment online because honestly they're the cheapest ones around and I just like getting my eyelashes done I'm sorry.. anyways do you know this business owner had the audacity to tell me that she didn't want my business anymore. I had a pleasant first visit here. I called to see if I was able to get a same day Appt to get a fill for my acrylic nails. They were able to accommodate me within 30 mins. Thank goodness! I couldn't handle typing with long nails for a day longer. When I got there, they had a nice check in process and I was seated at the set appt time. My nail tech (phuong) told me that I might have to do a full set, but that she will see what she can do first. I was fine with either option. She was able to fix my nails perfectly without redoing everything. As someone who doesn't like to sit at a nail salon for that long, I am glad there was no hand massage or other extra stuff that some salons do. I like a quick in and out! And that's exactly what I got. They accept card payment but prefer cash tip. I didn't have cash, but there's an ATM down at the liquor store so I was able to tip through that. The first few times I went was fine because I was only getting a refill. The last time before 4 days ago I had asked to have my acrylic removed so I could do dip she attempted to get my acrylic off but in the process supposedly was unable to. She then proceeded to dip my nails and left them clumpy with awful shaping. Now flashback to four days ago I decided to get a full set again by the same lady who tried to take off my Acrylic. Mind you I booked an online appointment and In the notes I had asked for tommy to do my nails because for some crazy reason they don't let you choose your nail tech. Any way back to my nails again my right hand, all the nails are crooked and uneven oh and to make things even better two nails popped off and two are lifted and hanging on to a thread. 55 dollars wasted on a terrible set. I'd pass on this one. I gave two stars because my technician was wonderful, you can make appointments online, and they gave a really thoughtful holiday gift with every service. But that's where it ends unfortunately. I did a regular mani/pedi and my nails are chipping less than 24 hours. So my nails for Christmas now look terrible. The salon was also very dirty and old. Like floors were just filthy like they haven't washed them in weeks, used towels were left between the pedi stations, the pedi station arm rests had marks all over them like they hadn't been wiped down all the mani chairs are torn. Not a luxury experience or one worth the money if I can't go a day without heavy chipping. read more

This was my second visit. I did not like my original pedicure but I wanted to try them out again.. I got a dip manicure and right away I could tell the tech was doing my nails differently. (I get dip every few weeks). When I was done the nails did not shine but I figured it was the color and left. Within 3 hours my nails were chipping. 5 nails chipped in a matter of 1 day. I messaged their Facebook page immediately with no response. The next day I walk in and ask for "my nails to be all redone as they were done wrong" I was told okay sit down... they tech says he will only fix the 5 that are broken and I said "no they were don't incorrectly or they would NOT be chipping after a few hours". They told me No "it was done right". I said "well maybe your dip is the problem can we do Gel?" And he told me "no that is an extra $30" I proceeded to ask for my $40 back and they told me "we don't do that". The man technician began yelling at me from across the salon and telling me "SIT DOWN NOW". I tried to explain that I did not want to come back AGAIN when nails number 6-10 break as well and they told me "we only cover our nails for 2 days" (so technically if more broke after today they wouldn't have to cover it). This salon clearly does not care about their customers or how their nails come out. These should have been completely redone NO QUESTIONS with an apology as I had to take another hour out of my day. So in conclusion, the next day nails 6-10 chipped from the original technician and I spent $ elsewhere to fix their HORRIBLE nail job. read more

Came back again and decided that this is not my forever place. I hate that I feel this way because the people really are nice, but they charge extra on every little thing, which I hate! Just tell me what the real total cost is for my dip and don't just start charging me extra for removal of current dip, cutting down, cuticles, etc. as those are all things I expect to come with the overall dip manicure service. Also the pedicure is nice but very superficial. My nails were ingrown and hurting just a couple days later. cost is just not worth it when the places around the area are cheaper for the services rendered. read more

Let me start by saying I have been coming to orchids nails for years and over the past year the service has been declining specifically in the type of service I have been getting provided. It feels more like a drive-through spa. Its now quantity over quality A speed Spa. Now don't get me wrong. I don't wanna spend half my day and a spa but I also don't want to feel rushed or be rush when it comes to the quality of the service that I am paying for. yesterday I went in to have powder dip refill done my usual main man is on vacation I'm not really particular about who provides my service as long as the service is done correctly but i have my preference when it comes to certain request. Here's the thing if you are not happy or proud of the work/service you just provided that if someone asked your client who did your nails/toes that they would recommend you with confidence cause you done an excellent job don't let me leave your place of business! Don't give me something you wouldn't be happy with paying for and leaving with! I would hard for my money to, not to throw away on mediocre service. I was rushed I told Katie she was rushing! She was making errors dip was dripping powder was being applied too thick where it would not look natural or leveled, I gonna fix her reply..had to keep telling her don't apply setting powder over lint from gauze where she wiped with alcohol when starting cause if I saw it sticking in my nail I would have her remove and start over. It was just constant rushing not attentive to her craft/ work. Sloppy so to speak in the end. Why do I have to keep speaking to you about what to do? No cleaning up around fingers hand making sure work is neat all nails are files shaped evenly. Want to put oil to mask up half ass work. In bad light it seemed to look half ass decent then I come home to see what you will see in my uploads. Anyway I've made up mind to take my business and money elsewhere that was a last minute decision after work I actually have already started going elsewhere and I'm content so far with the craft i was hoping to get who normally services me but lesson learned. One thing about them if you go back it's we busy come back tomorrow.. like uh no I paid you yesterday I need fixed today smh. It's always an attitude you do know you work as customer service? Your clients come first in order to keep good clientele coming back you keep your customers happy not lose them to bad business. So we're clear this was just the last straw the pedicures were getting to be trash! Why do I have to you to get my small toe or side of big toe or every time my toes get painted I can see where first coat stopped and 2nd coat stopped? No even strokes it was getting so annoying! Then entire side no pain at all. I come back it's an attitude cause you don't know how to pain or you can't see how to paint one or the other or both. Idk. Went in to get my dip removed and redone. I deliberately left them on so they can be taken off professional as to not harm/ damage my nails. They ripped the dip off my natural nail and further damaged my nails. It was painful as well. Nothing was used to help it off other then a random acrylic nail to snap off under the dip. This seemed highly unprofessional to me. Additionally they did some strange dip / gel hybrid wick was odd but would have been fine had they not completely damaged my natural nail. They also didn't keep the nail or critical after damaging it and offered it as an additional charge. Won't be going back. read more

I don't recommend this place. The quality of the gel and acrylic nails is terrible, just like their customer service. Each time I visit the salon, at least two gel nails break 1-2 days later. When I go to get them repaired, they get upset and charge me instead of remedying the problem. When I ask that they not make my nails paper thin to avoid breaking, instead, they would always reply by saying if I want thicker, it's more money; I am asking for the average thickness done by any salon. When you give feedback and ask them to do their nails how you would like, they become upset and refuse to do it. Then they will tell you to go somewhere else. Their attitude is nasty. These people are only concerned with extracting more money from you instead of taking feedback and resolving the issue. The sad thing is they set up these salons in neighborhoods where primarily minorities support them, Not their people, and yet they are nasty to us and offer the worst customer service. When they service white people, you see the difference in their attitude. They are pleasant to them and do what is asked of them. I see it all the time. So don't waste your time and money. The quality of their product is cheap, just like their attitude. If it were up to me, they would get no star. read more

The salon manager Ben is racist! He is arrogant and I will never go there again after I saw how he talk to this customer. My black sisters, please do not go there anymore and support this place. Go to ViVi nails down the street. They are kind to black woman. I was getting a pedicure and a woman came to do her nails. The salon was fairly busy and he spoke to her so rude, basically yelled about her needing an appointment. And they take walk ins. Why would he refuse to Help her. Cause she was black. The lady was so kind to him the whole time, even though he spoke rude and treated her bad. I never seen any nail salon employee act like that, it was so uncomfortable.....he told her he didn't care if she came back and some more trash. He spoke to her like a dog. I felt so bad for her, I wanted to stop my pedicure services and comfort her. Bottom line, he did it because she was black! No other reason to deny a customer and he was not busy. He always acts like that to customers. Ben is a horrible person. Do not go here! I know God will never bless him. He is Racist, Bad manager, ignorant and rude. I stopped in as I had a lunch meeting in Randolph and some time to kill on a Saturday. It was very busy around 12:00 pm and when I walked in, there were a couple of people seated and waiting and all nail techs were with customers. I wasn't told a wait time for a pedicure, but I also didn't ask. I was instructed to pick a color, which I did. I was slightly put off as the brands of the regular nail polish were ones I did not recognize. No Essie or OPI in the regular selection (that I saw), but I did notice they have those brands in the gel. I probably waited about ten minutes before I was seated in a chair, then another 10 minutes before a tech was freed up to start my nails. It was a bit crazy...they were so busy...and they were taking every walk in as well as appointments, so I have to assume things were running a bit behind for those who had appointments. It seemed that a fair number of people were there for full sets so I would think that is something they are very good at. I, myself, skipped the fingers and just did the toes, so I can't attest to the quality of manicures. The color I chose was a bright orange-y color that likely required three coats to get a solid color. Instead of doing that, the tech dabbed blobs onto the spots that were kind of see-through. I didn't really mind...until I realized those blobs were drying much slower than the other nails because of the thickness of the polish. So, after sitting for 15 minutes letting them dry, I slipped my sandals back on and by the time I had gotten home...the big toe on my left foot was all kinds of effed up. It was a little disappointing as I found that the pedicure itself was a nice experience. They use disposable liners as others have pointed out. Each of the tools used on me was first spritzed with rubbing alcohol, which was great...never seen a salon do that before. Nice touch. Also great...they do a complimentary paraffin dip for your heels at the end of the pedicure. That was awesome and very much needed in my case. My heels felt softer than they have in a long time. I live in Abington so likely won't be making this is my go-to spot, but in a pinch, it worked out fine. read more

Friendly service, good choice of colors to choose from, clean and neat establishment, fair prices, very efficient at what they do, you're basically sold right?! There can be a bit of a language barrier but if you really need something done a certain way the message will get across. The pedicure is super thorough here, from scraping your heels to brushing your footsies with a brush. They even finish it off with dipping your heels in some sort of warm oil. I also got a manicure which came out very nice! Not much of a hand massage from the manicure though. $35 for a mani/pedi. No complaints here, will most likely be back! They also accept walk ins and will try their best to accommodate you quickly. I didn't have an appointment today, guilty!! I had a good experience at this place. Came here on a whim on a Sunday and got immediate service. Their selection of colors isn't the best - most bottles of polish displayed are crusty and empty lol. Other than that, the girl did a great job on my nails. Services are reasonably priced, they are clean (they use liners in the pedicure tubs) and everything is sterilized. I had been looking for a nail salon near my house for a while. I found that other salons in the area were not very sanitary, so when I found Orchid I was impressed with the cleanliness. I committed to this salon, though I did not have a favorite tech. I came for 3 months faithfully, and though I'd hear the techs address other people by name, nobody took the time to learn my name. When I would come in without an appointment, I would be told to "pick a color" but never told how long the wait would be. I started to feel ignored. I continues to come here every 2 weeks faithfully for my pedicure and acrylic refill, but today will be my last visit here. I had a broken nail after less than 24 hours. I called immediately and spoke to my yeh who told me to come in right away. I explained that I could not do that, and I'd be there the next day. She told me to come at 9am, I agreed. I came in at 9am and the lights were off. The sign on the front door advertised an open time of 10. I continued to wait, assuming that she asked me to come early before she started with her appointments. At 10, another tech opened the shop and called my original tech who informed me that she was busy and not coming. The other tech did my nail repair for me. Everything was ok, until Bin, also a nail tech, confronted me in front of the entire salon to tell me that I was not told to come here at 9am. He argued back and forth with me about what I was told, then returned to his client and ignored me as I explained myself. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this salon. Don't go here! They tip themselves and smile in your face. So I previously left a pretty decent review for this place but they have completely turned me off. They have been taking money. Eyebrows are $8...the shorter woman that normally does my eyebrows took $10 from my and chuckled in my face when I gave her a tip in addition to that before I realized she decided to tip herself. I've been here before and had good experiences but my last visit was mediocre. Two friends of mine and I all got gel manicures on Tuesday, which should last two weeks. It's Sunday and we've all experienced chipped or peeling nails already. Our pedicures are smudged or chipped too. For what we spent we definitely expected better quality products. Made an appointment for a pedicure on a whim on a rainy Sunday. Had nothing to do after helping a friend move. They said come on in! YAAY! I went in and they were actually very busy. I had to wait about a half an hour. They must have apologized about 10 times. I wasn't upset at all. The place was pretty clean had tons of polish to pick from. I love how they put plastic on the pedicure bowl! I had a really awesome Pedicurist! She was super sweet and actually talked to you and was fun!! I have to tell you..this has to be one of the best pedicures I ever have received. I got a gel pedicure which I usually do not get! And it looks fabulous! I'll definitely go back! I'd give it five stars..BUT..they did say come in and we'll take you right away and I had to wait. I was desperate for a manicure when I was in town for work, and this place was the closest to the Courtyard in Stoughton so I went in without looking at reviews. Big mistake. My gel manicure was uneven, thick, had bubbles in it, didn't cover my whole nail and was just "gloopy" looking. Absolutely terrible. And it peeled off in a week, after it started to peel up at the cuticles a few days in (and chipped after maybe 3 days). They are using some seriously garbage gel polish in here. And the UV lamps they have you put your hands in to dry your gel- omg. They feel like they have never been cleaned. I was so grossed out putting my hands in there because they were greasy and caked with polish and just disgusting. Definitely some health code violations happening here. Run away! read more

Love that they are open on Sunday. Tea did my pedicure last Sunday and she did a great job. I liked the plastic bowl liners in the pedicure chairs. Salon was very clean. They had golf on TV which was not my thing but no big deal. I also liked the paraffin wax on my heels it was a nice touch my regular place does not do. I would recommend Orchid. read more
