It was a great deal. I've been to several head spa around Seattle proper. I bought two so my oldest daughter can try them as well. Gal who did my head spa was fine. Only negative I had was their shampoos had coconut. I told them I'm allergic to coconut. So owner had to go purchase shampoo without coconut. Then Charges me an extra 10.00 just because she had to purchase non coconut shampoo and conditioner. I think like all the other places I've been to they should be prepared. All in all it was fine, not one of the top places like I've been to, but adequate for the price. Plus it was clean when I visited. It was nice to have the food places all around to get food because I was hungry right after my head spa treatment.

I hadn't been here in a couple of years, and now I remember why…read more When I booked my appointment, I specifically requested a deep tissue massage when I called, confirmed it again when I checked in, and reiterated it when my therapist came into the room. Unfortunately, what I received was nowhere close to deep tissue--it wasn't even firm pressure. To make matters worse, my 90-minute appointment was cut short. During the session, the therapist repeatedly found reasons to step away. In total, he was out of the room or away from providing treatment for approximately 11 minutes. After the first 60 minutes, I was asked to get up and move to a different room for the final 30-minute foot massage. While I was waiting, the therapist spent time cleaning hot stones and remaking the massage table. Those tasks should be completed between clients--not during a client's paid treatment time. Service should be continuous throughout the scheduled appointment, and 11 minutes of non-treatment time is simply unacceptable. The foot massage itself was especially disappointing and felt like an afterthought. I tried communicating my preferences and even offered feedback on the pressure and technique during the session. As a licensed massage therapist myself, I understand the physical demands of this profession and appreciate the effort that quality bodywork requires. Unfortunately, this session lacked both the pressure and the intentional therapeutic work I specifically requested. Despite my attempts to communicate, my requests were ignored. It feels like they simply tell clients what they want to hear to get them in the door instead of delivering the service they promise. The massage was a complete waste of my time and money. Even though the price was inexpensive, it still wasn't worth it. To top it all off, my credit card was charged three times, and now I have to drive back just to get the billing corrected. This place used to be much better, but it has become incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend it.

What a lack of empathy for someone who is 9 months pregnant and cannot make an appointment. The massage therapist who worked on my neck and back tension was very careful and made her best effort to ensure that I was comfortable with her technique. There were only a couple of downsides to this massage center, and most cannot be helped. For instance, the business sits on a busy road and I could hear cars drive by. In addition to that, I could also hear voices from the waiting area, since it is quite a small space. Those factors kind of took away part of the relaxing ambiance most massage places have. As I stated earlier, this was my first massage experience; perhaps I'm more prone to prefer a spa-like and serene atmosphere. My appointment was at 3pm and after I was greeted, I was asked to fill out some paperwork. Afterwards, I waited only a few minutes before my therapist took me back to the room. I'm assuming that after paperwork, a brief trip to the restroom, waiting a moment for the therapist, and getting undressed, my massage began at approximately 3:15 or 3:20 (I was on time at 3pm). I paid for an hour massage, but the therapist stopped at exactly 3:58. This was a surprise to me and I asked the receptionist and she said that the appointment time is the starting time and it ends exactly an hour from then. I don't know if this is standard practice for a massage, but I feel as though I didn't receive what I paid for. All in all, this was a nice place and the staff are nice as well. I may look for something different next time and arrive 20 minutes early, just in case.
