Oreganos food is excellent. Service today was horrible. Our server Tara completely ignored us the entire time. We couldn't even find her let alone get drink refills or extra parmesan for our pizza. We waited a long time for our salad and our pizza was served luke warm. No check back once the pizza was served. We actually did see her loading up plates and to go boxes on the waiter's station but getting her attention was impossible. My husband went to the bar for a glass of wine because she was useless. We even had to get our own box for our leftover pizza. Clearly she wanted us gone so she could go home. Threw the check on the table after we ordered dessert. Guess servers have bad days. Oregano's has become a family favorite! Yummy food in a fun and casual environment. If you're in the mood for a tasty frozen cocktail then the ORiGiNAL GiBBiLiNi BELLiNi is a must try! Starters I'd recommend the HUGE GUACA-TO (Italian guacamole made to order with fresh avocado) served with pizza crust chips. If you're a avocado lover like myself then this is must try! Another favorite is the ITALIAN FRIED ZUCCHINI! Or the SWEET N' SPICY hot wings served with homemade potato chips. If it's pasta you want then definitely recommend trying the ZANY ZITI (Ziti pasta, red sauce, and four Italian cheeses. Topped with even more cheese, baked in a bread bowl)! Ok I have always loved Oregano's and it is always one of the first places I go to when I am in town! My favorite dish has always been the Alfredo After Dark...until I recently tried the Pablo Picasso salad. WOOOAHHHH! It is so spicy and delicious. I have a cilantro allergy and they are so good about making sure it is known that I have an allergy and to not have any cilantro touching the plate. And as for dessert, did you really go to Oreganos if you didn't get the Original Pizza Cookie? So dang good! I have been ordering take out more recently as a precaution, but they have been great. No wrong order and everything has been made quick and the pick up is seamless. I highly recommend. read more

We checked in on yelp then arrived and told a 35 minute wait. Walked into bar, found a table and plonked down. Apparently not really allowed, they still want to seat you so the waiter stations are even. Manager came over, super gracious and explained rule. Happy to be seated with an infant without a 35 minute wait in 107 degree temps. Teeny waiting room was packed and there were about 25 people outside waiting. No parking, I had to parallel park in the back. Place is jam packed at 6 pm on a Friday! Ok-- waiting for food. We have water and wine so happy to wait! Food was delicious. We had the deep dish pizza. Super attentive service from beginning to end with the exception of the hostess who has a crummy attitude and did not represent this fun place in a positive manner. read more

This is a general review of several Oreganos I've been to in the east valley, not one location. Oreganos has really delicious "house" salad, and a gigantic serving for only $5. Their croutons are off-the-hook delicious and so is their ranch. The iceberg lettuce, however, is often browning and wilted. So they need to fix that! Their pizza... just sucks. Really bad and awful tasting. Soggy crust, sour sauce, and not the right ratio of toppings. Super expensive too. All around bad. The cheesy garlic bread is fantastic. It's so good, I get it every time if I'm hungry enough to eat a salad and breadsticks. HOWEVER, there is one aspect of Oreganos that is beyond irritating... It has a massive "white supremacist" vibe all over it. EVERY single picture in the restaurant is of a white couple set in a 1960's post world war 2 era. ALL of the people on the movies they play are white. But here is the part that makes it racist... they play 1930's - 1950's era JAZZ which was almost exclusively performed by BLACK aka "AFRICAN AMERICAN" people during that era! Do they show any photos of the black musicians they play? NO, they show images of white people play trumpets. Absolutely ridiculous. Why do they go through the trouble to create this fake "happy white people" imagery all over, but play music performed by black/brown people? This is exactly the racist stuff that happened back during segregation... the blacks could play music for the whites, but couldn't dine with them or even use the same bathrooms. No wonder I never see ANY black or brown people inside Oreganos. Plus, their entire staff is ALL WHITE at every location I've been. I'm not saying all locations are like that, but all the ones in the East Valley during the times I've been there were. It's enough to seriously deter me from going there. I would visit on occasion, but every time I go, I am ticked off by the overbearing racism profusely displayed all over the walls and TVs. I will say that I've always had good service, and the staff was never rude or racist in any way to me or any one else I've been with. So this is a review directed at "corporate": Oreganos, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER and show some images of a diversity of people, or take the photos down all together. Nobody needs to see your fake perspective on reality while eating overpriced cheese on bread. read more

Came to Oregano's to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Ryan was FANTASTIC. Great customer service, talked with my two toddlers, made both kids laugh and even did a little birthday dance. I was very surprised at how bad I thought this pizza was. I have ordered from the Gilbert location and it was delicious! Since this Mesa spot had higher Yelp reviews, I was expecting it to be great. I can honestly say it was one of the worst pies I have ever had. When I opened the box, the crust was quite burned. I figured, OK, wood stove cooked, probably still OK. It was also burned on the outside portion of the underside. However the middle was a bit doughy. It had so much cornmeal on it that it was crunchy and the flavor was super salty and floury. The cheese was so thick, that it had congealed into a slab. I personally did not care for their sausage at all. I gave them the benefit of 2 stars, since during the stay at home order, they may have been understaffed, or using a different cook. Next time, I will brave the poor parking in Gilbert. read more

We haven't been to Oregano's for quite a while and decided to do some take out. We got a couple of our favorite dishes and they were very good. Pick up was easy since they have a dedicated take out entrance right in front and a counter set up just inside the door. Food was ready when I arrived. Cold stuff was in a cooler and hot stuff was hot - all very tasty and the prices are still reasonable. Very pleased with the experience and will do it again. read more

The staff lacks professionalism and all they seem to hire for the to go area are inept kids that like to flirt with eachother more than work.
