Overpriced & Disappointing Meatball Order I was really disappointed with my recent order from Mici. I placed an order through Uber Eats and was shocked to find that a single meatball was priced at $7.99. It's normally $5.99 on the menu. For that price, I expected a large, specialty-style meatball but instead, I received two average-sized meatballs. Spending $16 for two basic meatballs is ridiculous. For that price, I could have ordered a full pasta dish or a pizza. There was nothing special about the flavor to justify the cost, and to be honest, I feel misled by the photo on their website and pricing discrepancy. I normally get 2 meatballs for $5.99 at all other Italian restaurants. I won't be ordering meatballs from Mici again. Definitely not worth the hype or the price. 10/10 experience here wow I got the veggie pizza. Great thin crust pizza, veggies all cooked to perfection, ranch was really good too. I also had the lemon pie gelato and raspberry. Both were really tasty, the lemon one was sweet and creamy, the raspberry was tangy and soft, I mixed them together after a while and really loved that flavor as well. I really need to try this place fresh. Every time I've eaten here I get pickup and it seems like it's just been in the box too long. And as we all know, the biggest enemy of a pizza is being put in a box, especially too long. That being said, it's still not bad at all. Does it blow me out of the water? No. Have I definitely had better pizza? For sure. Pasta was decent. I'm a pretty big pasta snob as I grew up with homemade pasta from my mom. And I swear I've yet to find somewhere that makes decent pasta. That being said, the Alfredo wasn't bad. Could use a little more seasoning for sure. For everyone complaining about price. I don't understand. I think they're priced pretty fair for a non chain pizza place. If you want 3 pizzas for 20 bucks, go to little Cesar's. I have been twice and the food is good. The portions are very fair and it's super awesome that they have discounted/free food and ice cream for kids. I give a four instead of a three for this generosity since they are trying. I have seen improvement from the first time I went about six months ago until recently. Both times the lasagna was delicious. The pasta has more sauce on it now and the salad did not feel so full of canned goods the second time around. Neither time have I felt warm or friendly vibes from the cashiers at this quick service restaurant. If I could lend a tip, I would say to step up the seasoning, so whatever spices are used in a dish, double that. Came to this place to grab two 10inch pizzas since it is Friday eve and we are not in a mood for cooking. Pizzas were ok. I like that they were thin crust. Nothing extra special, it is a nice little pizza place, conveniently located in this growing area. The restaurant space is small but nice and casual. The service was friendly but they are brand new still in learning mode so they were more focused on that (training on the job seems like) versus customer service, no warm greeting and I was kind of waiting to see if they'd suggest anything but they didn't so I happen to see the Facebook posting with the $6 pizzas and went with that lol. It's a small place with four or five tables. Casa salad - delicious, but small. Liked the candied nuts. Caprarola pizza - we were impressed! For a quick-service place, it was pretty good. Lots of toppings. Very cheesy. Cannoli - Big, long, and creamy, just how I like it. Gelato - not actually gelato? It's just ice cream. And the flavor wasn't actually the flavor we ordered. My family and I were excited to hear of a new Pizza joint opening up near us. Mici is a cute, little pizza place located in a fairly new plaza in the QC that has great pizza options as well as sals, pasta, calzones, and more. We received a coupon in the mail that we tried to use but didn't work because one of our pizza options had more than one topping. For $50 (including tip & tax) we were able to order a 16 inch Margherita Pizza and a 16 inch Caprarola (with half onions and no green pepper). Don't forget your free cannoli if you order any 16 inch, specialty pizza. They didn't deliver to my house even though we're 12 minutes away but pick up was easy. You order and pay online, parking is easy in the lot, and they have it ready for you in less than 20 minutes. The pizza is yummy and the cannolis are good. Quick & fresh Italian meals on the go! Our family dined in and there wasn't much of a line and found 2 tables to accommodate our party of 6 ( invited daughter's friends). The pizza has a good crust. Crunchy and I love thin crust so I would say the pizza is on point! I would not recommend the pastas too much. The rigatoni and penne didn't seem that flavorful. The texture of the pasta needs improvement. The ROSA pasta consisting Alfredo & Marinara sounded great on menu. I thought the 2 sauces weren't mixed. The pasta felt more like a light vodka sauce. The taste was too light on penne. Plus so far 2 visits and the pasta sauces were cold each time. I don't think it's supposed to be cold. I would recommend the different pizza selections. After much anticipation, Mici was finally open. I visited about a week after they opened and what a let down, BIG TIME! I initially called to do a phone order and the guy who answered the phone directed me to place an order online...this recommendation will come into play later in the review. I placed an online order for a Rosa pasta ($11.49) and added on a single meatball ($4.49). The pasta dish came with "garlic bread." When I picked up the order, things were a bit confusing. I initially stood in line, but noticed there were rows of what looked like pizza carriers to the left and a receipt with my name on it. I pulled my food out, but still had to wait for the gelatos (I can appreciate fresh scooped gelato). However, NONE of the 3 flavors of gelato I ordered online (banana dulce de leche, spumoni, and cookies and cream) were actually available in the store. There was no offer of a refund and I didn't ask for one as there was a long line forming and didn't want to be "that guy," so I ended up with 2 tiramisu and 1 chocolate...it doesn't even look like they carry spumoni or cookies and cream as it wasn't even an option written on the glass, only the banana dulce de leche. When the employee started scooping the gelato, I reminded him this was a to go order and needed lids. He proceeded to tell me he was going to wrap the gelatos in saran wrap. I asked if this was a normal practice or if they were out of lids. He said they didn't have lids and cited supplier issues. I asked if they could just put the smaller cup into a bigger cup and put a lid on the bigger cup. He seemed annoyed, but complied. Had they just taken a phone order like I wanted, I could have clarified what flavors they had. While I was waiting for my gelato to be scooped, I double checked to make sure my food order was accurate and saw what looked like two slices of white bread in a bag. When I questioned where the garlic bread was, he said that IS the garlic bread. He went on to explain that they use a garlic infused oil. Even trying hard, I could not taste a lick of garlic, nor could my wife when I had her try it. In fact, when I ran my fingers across the bread, I could barely feel any oil (see picture). The pasta barely had any sauce on there (see picture). Even when I moved the pasta around, no sauce had made it to the bottom. All I could hear was the sound of penne screaming out for some of Mom's marinara and alfredo sauces, which the menu description says it has. The sauces were so lacking that it was legitimately unenjoyable. By this time, the employee was obviously annoyed by me questioning so many things, that when I asked him for utensils, he gave me 2 sets of fork/knife and no spoons for the 3 gelatos, which annoyed him even further when I asked him for spoons. In addition to my first experience, there were a couple of things that were confusing and didn't make sense. The most confusing is when you look at the online menu and the menu on the wall in the restaurant, it talks about kid's meals being available for dine-in only. However, when you go to place an order online, it looks like you can order kids meals. I was initially going to give a one-star review based on the above, but the fact it's a new restaurant and it was super clean on the inside and the fact the gelato (albeit not the flavors we wanted) were pretty good, some consideration is given to warrant two-stars. That said, Mici can easily get 4 or 5 stars by: 1. Offering generous amounts of sauce on their Rosa pasta. 2. Taking a class on how garlic bread is made or explain at least explain what their version of garlic bread is as it deviates so greatly from what most people would consider garlic bread. 3. Making sure their website reflects what inventory is in the store. 4. Coming up with creative ways (thinking outside the box) to serve their customers when there are shortage/supply issues. 5. Having employees that are more empathetic when (multiple) things went south through no fault of my own. read more

Good evening! 10 points for Mici. They just recently opened and we decided to check them out. Their salads were fresh and delicious and appropriately priced. The blue cheese on the house salad was fabulous! The balsamic was delicious. All of the employees were very pleasant. Our 10" pizza came out lickety-split! It was also delicious. You can tell they're using very hot ovens, which makes the best pizza! Very clean! Small sitting area but it's fine. Sweet Italian music playing and not too loud. Prices are absolutely reasonable. I placed a pick up order today, which was done pretty quickly. I ordered the Alfredo and substituted spaghetti noodles. It turned out well (hence the two stars) however my husband ordered another pasta and added chicken (for an up charge of $6 dollars) but when we got home and looked at his meal, a whopping two pieces of chicken, each about the size of a key, were added to his pasta-- $20 in total for his meal. Reminds me of the pizza 'back East'. Sauce is oh so good and the crust?...yum..yum! The ingredients are completely fresh so together...one amazing pizza! We usually order 3 pizza's once a week to every other week from Micis. The service is outstanding. If you have to call for any reason the staff is very friendly, helpful...although we hardly ever have to call because our pizza always arrives to perfection...no lie. We have been ordering from this location for 3 years now and have never had to call with any complaint. Always perfect. There are consistent discounted coupons available on their web page as well as on their main site as well as coupons for free 16" pizza's or various entrees. This was my first time at Mici yesterday after driving past often and will be the only time. Experience was not worth it considering the price of my meal. The restaurant was messy there being crumbs and dried sauce on tables. It was unpleasant. The manager on duty shot us a glare as me and my family walked inside, we got no greeting from him, he visibly did not want to be bothered. The girl assisting us was not friendly either, I see she gets no guidance from her manager. Seems like it is not an enjoyable environment to work, or dine in. Not a place I would be willing to bring my family again, The lack of leadership was palpable, it is a shame because the restaurant could have potential because of the prime location.
