Great service! Decent food. Our server was very nice and checked in often. Food came out fast. Food was high quality, presentation was great. But my wife and I both felt like it was pretty good but not anything to write home about. We started out with bruschetta which looked excellent! But we felt it needed a little salt. Next came the artichoke spinach dip. This was rich and creamy but again slightly bland. We enjoyed it still but wouldn't make a special trip for it. Last, we had a pepperoni pizza. It is thin crust, super crisp around the edges, and the kind of pepperoni that turns into little cups. Pizza tasted good, sauce was light and fresh. Overall we were content but not impressed. We were looking for a new place to try Friday night and came to ToScany's. It's been in business at this Gilbert and Chandler Heights NW corner for about 10 years so we were hoping it was a pretty good spot. There were not a lot of people in the main dining area for what would typically be a busy time day/time. At least we got a nice large booth where we didn't have to fight for elbow room Our server took our drinks and we asked about the popular appetizers and food here and he didn't seem to know much. We decided to try the garlic rotolis despite the $12 for bread. They were quite bland and a little too dried out. Disappointing. We then ordered an 18" pizza with two different toppings as our family can rarely decide on the same toppings. We got 1/2 pepperoni/mushroom/ricotta and 1/2 pepperoni/sausage. The ricotta was nice and creamy and I liked the blend with the mushroom and pepperoni. The pizza could have benefitted from another minute or two in the oven as the crust couldn't hold up. Overall the pizza was average or maybe slightly above average, but for a fancier coal oven pizza place I expected more. We read the specials before we left and it looks like there's some pretty good deals on Tuesdays (1/2 price pizza), Wednesday (Women 1/2 price) and Saturday (1/2 price pizza with beverage order). A few other days have specials as well...so you may want to plan ahead which day to dine here. read more

Stopped in for lunch and was surprised at how good it was. Our server was great and so helpful. Ambience was like sports bar but make it Italian. The cheesy garlic bread was extra cheesy and delicious and the baked ziti was quite good. A great lunch option with lots of weekly specials. read more

It's a Friday, late afternoon stopping in for an adult beverage. I notice the bar area is packed with what appears the place being filled up the the usual crowd of regulars ending their work week, with each showing the standard relief of a job well done. The person behind the bar, Jessica (sic?) is navigating the sea of clientele with the professional grace of someone focused on making everyone feel at home. As someone who has not experienced the "happy hour" atmosphere of this establishment, I was impressed with the way that Jessica kept up with the needs of the clientele with a consistent smile on her face. We have always seen this place when we shop at bashas and wanted to try this place. We ordered a vegetarian pizza and chicken wings. The pizza was delicious, oven baked and loved the toppings too. I wish they mentioned it has thin crust, the large size can be easily eaten by 2 people with a good appetite. The wings wasn't that great, it's not the typical wings you eat, it's more like baked. Overall a nice pizza place, would love to try some more from the menu in the future. read more

It had been several years since we had their pizza, but they're now under new ownership and you can once again get 8", 14", and 18" pizzas. We were immediately seated and soon our waiter brought us our drinks and we placed our order. We started off with a Cesar salad with anchovies on the side, the salad was well dressed and the lettuce crisp along with a nice portion of anchovies. Tuesday is half price pizza night so we ordered a 18" vegetarian and added Italian sausage, well done. Shortly after we finished our salad the pizza arrived, it had plenty of toppings and was cooked to our liking with just a little crunch on the crust; plus it was cooked in the middle and tasted really good. Overall good food and service, our waiter was attentive enough while leaving us to visit and enjoy our meal. Great to have ToScany's coal oven pizza again! read more

The host and server were nice. We ordered drinks, and then ordered our food when our drinks arrived. Our meals came out in a strange order. Salad, then entrees. And our appetizer came out last, and it wasn't what we ordered. We ordered cheesy garlic bread, but got over cooked pepperoni rolls. The server made it right and didn't charge us for the appetizer. The spaghetti and lasagna were just okay. I can't speak to my husband's pizza, he had a Buffalo pizza. I really enjoyed my pizza, Bianco with sausage added. We were hoping that it would be a place we could come to regularly since it is nearby, but overall Jess just okay. I would order and have that Bianco pizza again though!! read more

I have lived in the area for a few months and have always passed this up. I shouldn't have. The pizza. Served thin crust is delish. That's the way they make it. Ambiance is cute. Good bar with a big selection. The servers have been awesome. Came in for lunch 1/2 off pizzas!!!!! All day. Done in or carry out. They have daily special which I think are very nice. I was surprised here. Very large restaurant, great ambiance, and always seems to be packed in the evenings. I had lunch here, pizza and a glass of wine. It was cheaper than I thought it would be based on the looks. Very reasonable. Again, a plethora of choices, plenty of room. Immediate parking is limited, however there is ample parking in the Bashas lot. Give it a try. Go at lunch if you aren't keen on crowds. read more

This place is where time goes to die. Our server was attentive, polite and accommodating but other than that this was a total time suck. Almost a 2 hour visit for a 14" pizza and beer. One kid working the pizza oven who moved at the speed of smell. Literally zero sense of urgency. Dead ambience. This place needs a serious deep scrubbing from top to bottom. Food is great. Service is great. But, the former hidden service charge of old has manifested again as a 3% transaction fee. Every business is charged a processing fee for processing credit and digital transactions. It's just the cost of doing business. Most other establishments just include it in their pricing, but ToScany's tags it on your bill at the end. I don't mind paying for it, but the menu price should include it. read more

Even with new management, ToScanny unfortunately seems destined to fail (unless their owner and/or management takes immediate corrective action). We ate here about two months ago and were pleased with the pizza and the service, but both the service and cleanliness were sorely inefficient and ineffective during our visit. We were there at 6:30 and we only saw customers at four other tables. We found the place unkept and dirty, with multiple un-bussed tables throughout the dining room. Another two tables which had been cleared still had crumbs scattered, from pizza, cheese and other accoutrements. It just looked really sloppy, especially since it wasn't busy so no obvious reason why it wasn't being cleaned up. There was even a dried up pepperoni slice on the floor next to our table the entire evening. Although the two waitstaff, a hostess and the bus girl passed multiple times, no one bothered to pick it up off the floor. As we left it still resided there. Beer was delivered late and had zero head (either improper pour or defective glass sanitation system). The pizza took forever to come out even though the place was empty. When it was finally delivered to our table I could tell it had been sitting out for quite a while. Was just lukewarm. I don't know if there was a manager there but it didn't seem like there was anyone who cared or looked around to observe the state of affairs during our visit. read more

The food is very good. Pizzas are delicious as is the Lasagna and Baked Ziti. Been going here for years and their marina sauce is excellent thanks to Sheldon. The servers are extremely friendly. My wife and I go every Thursday. The sriracha meatballs are outstanding. read more

My husband and I came in one morning to try this place out. All of our friends have been claiming how welcoming and amazing this restaurant is, so we decided to finally give it a chance. We just came in for drinks to check it out, and sat at the bar. Our bartender was an older blonde woman appeared to be somewhat deranged. Every time we made conversation with her, her words seemed slurred and not to know what she was talking about. My husband ordered a tall whiskey and coke with lime, which the bartender brought him just a regular coke. Then, when I asked her what flavor white claws they carried, she asked me "What's a white claw?" She later informed me they don't carry white claws and offered a nuturl. I asked for an orange nuturl and she returned with orange juice. After she returned with the correct drinks, my husband and I noticed that she pour a little bit of tito's in a plastic cup mixed with something else for herself. I wanted to have some pizza to carb up for my week and decided to try this place. It was pretty empty for a Sunday night but it's memorial weekend so totally understandable, there were a few people sitting at the bar. They had really young kids working the pizza oven and they were on their phones with the same gloves they made my pizza. The girl at the bar who took my order KK was decent and made sure I had everything I needed. Only thing is she forgot to add my 10% discount I got for my check in after I had already told her. She gave me a really cold beer and that was the best part of the place. The pizza was dry and very thin, and it tasted very meh. I don't think I will be coming back :/ read more

Womp Womp Came here with my daughter to pick up dinner as a surprise for my husband who was home with an injury. We had pizza here years ago, and I remember it was fresh and tasty that time. Today, we placed a to-go order of 5 wings ($11.50 for 5) and a kid's spaghetti ($8.50 for a small kid's portion with a piece of bread and no drink) plus a large cheese pizza for $22. With tax and tip, it was just under $54. I know food prices have gone up, so it seemed a bit high for the wings but the others were pretty standard for the area. BBQ wings were well-cooked and the sauce tangy. Would recommend them. The spaghetti was basic but decent. My kid enjoyed it ok. But the pizza was barely lukewarm and the crust was like cardboard. There were 2 4-top tables inside plus a few groups at the bar. And a few tables outside. 5pm on a Friday isn't normally a busy time for restaurants so that's not surprising. I just don't know why the pizza was so cold. It was apparently in some sort of warmer by the hostess station for a long time. After sitting in the lobby for 20 minutes 10 feet directly in front of the hostess stand, the hostess asked me for my name again and when I told her she took food out of the warmer and handed it to me. (We placed our order right before 5 and they said it would be about 15 minutes. So we went over to Basha's and came back in under 10 minutes. We were literally the only people waiting for a to-go order, so I'm not sure what happened.) Either: A) the pizza was ready 20 minutes before the other food was ready, and it got cold in that time. Or B) All the food was ready before we returned 10 minutes after placing the order and the hostesses put it all in the warmer, not realizing it was our order when were literally the only people waiting for a to-go order. I'm pretty sure it was A) bc the wings and spaghetti were hot in the styrofoam clamshells, but the bags they were in were not. Either way, it was disappointing to realize as we grabbed the order that the pizza I was bringing my husband was already cold. It seemed like the hostess could feel from the box that it was cold, because she kind of shrugged as she handed it all to me. I wasn't going to wait to have more food made and waste what they gave me, but the cold pizza tasted like dry cheese on a cardboard crust, so I'm sure it would have been much better if it was actually fresh. Maybe if you are eating in and will get the food brought out fresh as it's ready, you might get decent pizza. But I would I not recommend getting a to-go order bc it was extremely disappointing, especially for the price we paid. (Yes, no one forced me to tip 20% on a to-go order, but the hostess was nice and "once a server, always a tipper.") read more

Although there weren't very many people, it was our party of eight and two other patrons. It was very slow service. We did not get refills on our water and had to ask for refills on drinks, but it was very slow. Looking for a great thin crust over fired pizza? This is the place. While the crust was slightly over done topping were abundant without being over powering. Bianco pizza was tasty. Buffalo Wings were good size and had lots of flavors Capo Pizza was meaty and filled with good stuff. Marinara with meatballs for kids was right on point. Service was good but servers seemed super busy and rushed. Not a comment on their quality! They were friendly and responsive. Just overworked. Overall solid and good value. read more
