All of the oregano's locations are crazy busy, with long wait times beyond reason. The exception is this one. Because of its location just a bit out of site from the freeway I guess, it's always nice and quiet inside, and you can usually get a table with a minimum amount of wait time. Took my friend here for her birthday tonight. Usually a huge fan of oreganos. Sat at the bar, was greeted kindly and asked if I wanted a drink. Got a beer. Server was good to start. We ordered a salad, took a while for it to come out being a simple salad. Ordered our food and it took a lot more time than we normally thought it should (place wasn't busy.. or as busy) the food came it was cold and bland, asked for more sauce which then in return would have been better not asking because we waited over 10 mins for the sauce to come out. Ended up boxing our food up. Got the pizza cookie and those never fail. You could tell the server was having a tough night as the night went on. Multiple upset tables. I wasn't offered another beer or water for over 45 mins & was handed a check with out asking if we were ready for it. For a bill sitting at $80.00 truly was not satisfied at all. Which sucks cause that's a lot to money for two people... Service started out great and ended blah. She was more worried about being on the phone where multiple tables had to come up asking for their bill. Definitely expected more from this restaurant. I am so glad we went there Saturday afternoon; not only did we get great pasta in large portions, but the service was the best I've had there! Jason was so personable and efficient. We went to a Oregano's's last night for my birthday after Saturday evening church. The waitress was efficient, pleasant and knowledgeable. They gave us a round table , party of 6-7. They brought a warm cookie with ice cream melted on it, and a candle in it to sing, happy birthday. We had to wait 40 minutes to get in on a Saturday evening, but it was well worth it. Cold glass of water was the only thing enjoyed at this restaurant. After being highly touted as the ' Pizza of Choice' for us Chicago and NYC residents I was excited to try Oregano's. Living in the east valley for 3 years now and never finding a good slice, I decided to try Oregano's. Looks good, also good enough to eat and so i start in. First slice is questionable at best and after the second bite it's 'please get this out of my sight' and do not box it up to go home. Out of all the pizza I've eating in my life this was by for in my lowest 5 pizza parlors. Sauce is yuck, sausage is yuck, cheese is good, veggies are good but the sauce was so bad it ruined what pizza is supposed to be. Disappointing is not close to my thoughts. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Unfortunately, the rate at which the company has expanded has brought it from five stars to three. The last two times I ate at an Oregano's was at the Superstition Springs and Queen Creek locations. The most recent time was very disappointing. The pizza was overcooked, and was lacking in cheese. It was burnt so badly that I was surprised they actually served it to us. I usually do not send food back, but I could not eat it. Our server, Amelia came up right away and was very friendly and helpful. I always like going out and not having to ask for refills and our server was totally on her game. Had pizza here years ago and not that great. Thought we'd try again, ordered the Numero Uno pizza which was totally disappointing! The taste was off like it needed more red sauce. The cheese was burnt and not finding any jalapeños we added to it! My husband said Tombstone pizza tasted better. For a 14 inch pizza, garlic cheese bread and 1 soda it cost $41 before the tip. I came here with my mom because she was craving some pizza. All of our past pizza places have kind of left us disappointed with the results. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of pizza so we were looking for some place that had both good pizza and something for me. I have been to Oregano's in the past and wasn't the biggest fan, but I was willing to give it a shot because searching for a new restaurant is hard. I am glad I did. This Oreganos is really cute and has a nice warm feel. It almost reminded me of going to Grandma's house. When we got seated, the waiter was really personable and easy going. Plus, the food was really good. I recommend coming here for a family night out or even a date night. Portion sizes are big so you should have some leftovers, which is a bonus in my eyes. Disappointed in this location. They gave me Kens salad dressing when ordering their Caesar salad from door dash. The only reason I get there salad is because of their dressing. Otherwise I could just get a salad from the grocery store not pay $15. The sandwich was half the size it normally is and they gave a small handful of fries . I called to complain and they said there is nothing they could do, due to supply chain issue's. They should notify people ordering that it won't be their standard order. It's not fair. Came here today with the family for a pizza lunch and maybe a pizza cookie. The wait was non-existent, which at noon on Sunday in this area is unheard of. The hostess informed us that the "pizza roller" was out of service so pizza was not available today. Since this was meant to be a pizza lunch it was highly disappointing. It's a shame that there is no one working that knows how to make a pizza without a machine, strange when this is supposed to be an Italian restaurant. I will not return here of my own accord due to this issue and them not having a professional way around it. Oregano's is a fantastic place to grab a decent Italian meal if you are looking for pizza or pasta. The decor is awesome and has this cool 1950's Frank Sinatra type vibe. They do have kids meals and they give them dough to keep them from climbing the walls. I have found that pizza and pasta is the way to roll here. My wife and I ordered some take out items from here last week. My wife's salad didn't have croutons which even though it was supposed to have them, it wasn't a big deal, until I realized my boneless chicken was completely raw. I had eaten a few pieces and was dipping them so didn't realize it at first until they were a weird texture. I looked down and was blown away at what I was looking at. I became ill with food poisoning for over 24 hours and I believe it's due to this meal. We called the manager and she apologized and offered to refund us the bill? That's it..... a refund after sending us home with this and making me miss work. You would think they would offer more when making a customer sick. Wanted to give my partner a special lunch pick-me-up after he had a grueling work week. We had gone here a number of months ago and really liked it. At that time they had an all-you-can-eat spaghetti deal with a sausage and he loved it. This time everything was blah except for the server/bartender Chris who is very expert and deft at juggling lots of things while always being courteous. He is the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. Partner got a "slice and salad" special. It was close to inedible and although he was going to take it home he thew it into the trash when we went out the door. I got the Pablo salad which supposedly was with chicken. I guess the chicken must have run through and gotten away as there was one shred about 1/8 of an inch wide in there, not kidding. It was straight out of the fridge and ice cold with basically nothing but some worn out looking salad greens. The topper was the glass of "house" Chardonnay which when we got the bill was $10.50 and a small pour at that. I have been a bartender and I know what that means. We had been talking about inviting some friends to share a meal there with us but we have decided against it or other visits there based on what we experienced today. read more

Arrived last night (Friday) at 6pm, expecting a wait. My party of 2 was quoted 20 minutes, we ended up waiting about 32 minutes, which is fine. We were seated and greeted pretty quickly. Our server was nice enough. My friend and I ordered beverages and an appetizer. We were told they were brewing more iced tea, once it arrived it was hot tea and zero ice in sight. Our server said she would bring a cup of ice (never did, had to ask for it again). Our appetizer arrived and we had to ask for plates and silverware. We were then told there wasn't any silverware on the table because they had run out. I understand it's a busy Friday night, but I noticed there was something wrong at all of the tables surrounding us. Food was mediocre and that's a letdown because I really enjoy Oreganos! We have ordered from Oreganos a number of times and so a few weeks ago ordered a couple of pizzas to be collected at 7pm. Collected the pizzas and ten minutes to get them home. On opening the pizzas it was obvious that they had been made a long time before the order was picked up and the dough was soggy, stuck to the bottom of the box. In fact the dough looked uncooked. A nasty experience so I called and spoke to the manager who was apologetic and said they would send us a refund via a gift card and that I should have it within a week. That apparently was a lie and said to get me off the phone and now three weeks later there is no gift card and I am feeling like his offer was disingenuous.
