I have not been here in years but I was craving Greek food and they have pizza and Greek food. I went for lunch on a Saturday and it was empty at 11:30. They have lunch specials Monday through Saturday but I wound up getting the falafels and the baba ganoush. The falafels were excellent! Nice and crispy with a dab of sriracha sauce on top. Excellent flavor and texture. The baba ganoush was good and had excellent flavor but it was too chunky for my tastes. My server was great! She was very friendly and happy. The restaurant is pretty big and they have a good size bar on one side and the sit down restaurant on the other side. read more

Came to dine here after a long hiatus and was glad they still had my favorite foods. I love their white pizza, the romano, cooked properly with a thoroughly good base baked perfectly in the oven, as is the crust, and cheesy-gooey white sauce with fresh garlic and spring onions. Had to order the saganaki - because it's a favorite from my first visits to Greece back in the day - so they bring it out in a cast iron skillet that's scalding hot, then at the table add a shot of liquor that douses the cheese and then it's flamed ... the first bite is always the best. Watch out for the temperature! My one less star is for the cheese to have been breaded; my preference is for the more traditional saganaki, using graviera, but kasseri or kefalotyri is great too, and a light touch of flour to let the cheese crisp up beautifully and hold the shape. After the flames go out I seem to hear the "Yassas" of my friends from back in time :) Between sharing the saganaki and the 10" pizza I was getting pleasantly full, so sat back and enjoyed the Lemon Drop cocktail I'd ordered, while opposite me the salmon bowl was being enjoyed by my partner while he too had his martini ( yes, I stole the olives). The appetizer and the main were cooked and served well, our server Michael was great, attentive and friendly. My friend and I sat in the bar area for an early dinner. I have gluten and dairy allergies and the server was so accommodating and made sure my food was not cross contaminated. I'm honestly embarrassed that we've never been in this place until now considering that we live just 5 minutes away but I'm glad that we did. This place is super nice and I like the idea of the bar being separated from the main dining room it's a lot less noise. When we came in their was only one other table being served so the service was super quick. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs it came with freshly baked bread sticks that I honestly thought was better than Olive Gardens, a dinner salad with options of dressing and a huge portion of perfectly cooked spaghetti with some amazingly flavorful marinara sauce and two huge moist and meaty meatballs it was super delicious. My boyfriend ordered the chicken parmigiana sandwich on a roll his sandwich came with a side salad as well and mentioned that his chicken was seasoned to perfection and very moist. I've been honestly having a hard time finding great places to eat lately but I'm glad I finally came here to try their amazing food I'll definitely be coming back to try the pizza I hear that it's pretty fantastic also. read more

I know it's not the servers fault but she was knew so she could not give me her opinion if an appetizer was good.. I guess that's better than everything is good.. Ordered fried mozzarella stick and falafel. Well my mozzarella was barely warm and cheese was hard.. So i sent that back.. They brought hot off the fryer one later and it wasn't too bad. Falafel was OK and nice twist with seracha on the center. I ordered choose your topping calzone.. Because I didn't feel like paying $21.99 for lamb shank . Ordered chicken dish with baba ganoush instead of hummus, and crispy lavash vegetarian pizza. My calzone was pretty good.. Chicken was dry and lacked on flavor. Baba ganoush was meh... Pizza was pretty good. Half way through our meal server asked if I wanted my check. Geesh could have waited until I finished my meal and took the plates away. The decor is a bit outdated and old looking, but the food...awesome! The custom calzone is great...you can pick up to 5 stuffings, and it's a nice selection! I usually get 2-3 meals from one calzone! How many ways can I say OMG? My husband happened upon this place online, and said that we should check it out. Our Saturday date night bought us to Milano's. It was a 25 minute drive from the theater, but quite an enjoyable one, as the sun was just beginning to set. As we approaced, it was just starting to get dark and the lights were on outside. We were immediately seated in a back corner. The ambiance was awesome! I love the interior decor. My husband ordered a beer and I had a glass of wine. It was nice to see a St. Michelle offering, as I grew up across the valley from the winery and know it well. I decided on the 'famous' manicotti, one of my favorite Italian dishes, and my husband tried the meat lasagna. Both dishes were incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. The plates were served very full. With the side salad and bread sticks, it was difficult to consume half of the main course, but we both did, tapping out at about the same time. (As leftovers, these dishes were even more awesome!) Towards the end of our visit, we had a little side show, as our server, Chase, dropped a wine flyer on the floor. She had cleared a table and was headed back to the kitchen. With her arms full of dishes, and being unable to bend without dropping everything, she put her foot on the paper and scooted it across the floor as she walked by us. My husband and I got a huge kick out of that. (I had flashbacks of my boys cleaning their rooms.) As she walked by, I told Chase that the scene was quite entertaining. She had the perfect come back, "You didn't know you came for dinner and a show!" We were all cracking up! It was an awesome evening and we departed with full bellies for the 25 minute drive back home. The atmosphere and staff are great! The food was okay, there is a lot of potential here but some of the food items might need a refresher on ingredients. Short version: it was meh. A disappointing birthday celebration for my sister. She was house sitting out in that area, I drove to meet her from Laveen. Definitely will not be making that trip again. Longer version: it was a nicely decorated restaurant, with a small patio, and quite a large crowd, so obviously other patrons like the food. There was ample parking, which is a big plus for me. Unfortunately, the food was not all that appetizing. We were going to order some drinks but they didn't have a cocktail menu, which sucked because I like mixed fruity drinks. More accurately, I like those drinks to be on a menu with their ingredients so I know what sounds good. I don't want to have to say "mix this and this and this" or be a plain Jane and ask for rum and Coke. No cocktail menu was definitely a bummer. We opted to go with the blazin' saganaki for an appetizer because who doesn't like cheese? And thank my lucky stars I am not lactose intolerant. It was the best part of the meal. The Montanara pizza was so-so (crust was a bit too thick for me) yet the spinach, chicken and artichoke heart was the most disappointing. I like my calzone to be semi-thick and soft, just barely beginning to develop a crust, yet this calzone was too brown (almost burnt) and crispy like the lavash pizza crusts. I don't like to waste food but I couldn't force myself to even finish the leftovers the next day. Sorry to say, it went into our compost bin. There really was nothing good about it. I don't like doing rating places less than three-stars, especially nowadays when so many places are struggling, but I am unable to find any reason to give Milano's more than two stars. read more

Went for the Mediterranean portion of the menu lastnight vs the Italian portion and it was the pretty good. I had the light and low carb platter. I loved the dolmas, they were perfectly tangy. The babaganoush was smoky and delicious and the salad was good, but I didn't really like the chicken shawarma. It was too dry for me, but I don't usually like chicken breast as a rule anyways. Don't let the looks of this place fool you! Looked really nice when we walked in. We were greeted and sat right away. Although, I thought it was a little weird that there were only a handful of people at 5:30 on a Friday night. Now I know why.... The server was very nice but our food was horrible. Very soggy bruschetta. We ate some of it anyways because we were so hungry. I asked for a chicken gyro, minus the pickles. I got a gyro with gyro meat. Sent it back and they made a new one with chicken and pickles. I sent it back and was turned off by ordering anything else. My son requested Italian dressing for his salad and got ranch. He had a pasta dish and the chicken tasted awful. We requested to speak with the manager but were told he was too busy. He relayed thru the server that the bruschetta is supposed to be soggy. Anybody who makes bruschetta knows that if you toast the bread enough it will hold up well. Yes, the tomato mixture is wet but you can tell it was prepared in advance and had a mushy texture. He comped the sandwich and that was it. We paid $40 for pasta Alfredo with gross chicken and very little finely chopped broccoli and soggy bruschetta. Never again! read more

Absolutely fantastic! A hidden gem so you'll always be able to get in and get a table immediately. The owner always comes out to say hello and to make sure everything's going well. Great Greek food, decent Italian too! I love the owner's (could be the manager) sense of urgency, and customer experience! They finished the remodel awhile ago now and it looks good! It's more intimate now, and a little more upscale, although it's not fancy or pretentious. I get the cauliflower rice gyro bowl so I can also have the pizza-cookie! They added a few craft beers to the menu, a red blend, and a Malbec so their selection is improving. But it it's not craft enough (for me it's not) they have a full bar and a couple speciality cocktails. read more
