Came to dine here after a long hiatus and was glad they still had my favorite foods. I love their white pizza, the romano, cooked properly with a thoroughly good base baked perfectly in the oven, as is the crust, and cheesy-gooey white sauce with fresh garlic and spring onions. Had to order the saganaki - because it's a favorite from my first visits to Greece back in the day - so they bring it out in a cast iron skillet that's scalding hot, then at the table add a shot of liquor that douses the cheese and then it's flamed ... the first bite is always the best. Watch out for the temperature! My one less star is for the cheese to have been breaded; my preference is for the more traditional saganaki, using graviera, but kasseri or kefalotyri is great too, and a light touch of flour to let the cheese crisp up beautifully and hold the shape. After the flames go out I seem to hear the "Yassas" of my friends from back in time :) Between sharing the saganaki and the 10" pizza I was getting pleasantly full, so sat back and enjoyed the Lemon Drop cocktail I'd ordered, while opposite me the salmon bowl was being enjoyed by my partner while he too had his martini ( yes, I stole the olives). The appetizer and the main were cooked and served well, our server Michael was great, attentive and friendly. The ambiance is pleasant but run-of-the-mill, with tables and booths, a bar area where you also can wait for your takeout order.

My friend and I had lunch at this location today and had an Awesome experience! Our server, Nathan, was very polite, friendly and efficient!! He explained the menu and took good care of us! We both tried the pizza bowls, which we're very good! The restaurant is cozy and comfortable and clean. We will definitely go back to Milanos!

Don't let the strip mall fool you. This place is elegantly decorated, they have fine Italian food, and service is beyond phenomenal. Our waitress. Jenna was awesome. Very attentive and friendly. Great family environment. Owner was sitting behind us and comes around to check on everyone. He has a great relation with his staff as well. They all would stop and joke with him. We ordered a pizza, tomato bruschetta, and these little donuts!! The food was perfect. I don't want to eat pizza anywhere else. My daughter said to rate this place 1,000,000.

I'm honestly embarrassed that we've never been in this place until now considering that we live just 5 minutes away but I'm glad that we did. This place is super nice and I like the idea of the bar being separated from the main dining room it's a lot less noise. When we came in their was only one other table being served so the service was super quick. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs it came with freshly baked bread sticks that I honestly thought was better than Olive Gardens, a dinner salad with options of dressing and a huge portion of perfectly cooked spaghetti with some amazingly flavorful marinara sauce and two huge moist and meaty meatballs it was super delicious. My boyfriend ordered the chicken parmigiana sandwich on a roll his sandwich came with a side salad as well and mentioned that his chicken was seasoned to perfection and very moist. I've been honestly having a hard time finding great places to eat lately but I'm glad I finally came here to try their amazing food I'll definitely be coming back to try the pizza I hear that it's pretty fantastic also.

Well... This place was pretty busy so I thought I give it a try.. Mediterranean and Italian.. Good combo.. First to start off... I know it's not the servers fault but she was knew so she could not give me her opinion if an appetizer was good.. I guess that's better than everything is good.. Ordered fried mozzarella stick and falafel. Well my mozzarella was barely warm and cheese was hard.. So i sent that back.. They brought hot off the fryer one later and it wasn't too bad. Falafel was OK and nice twist with seracha on the center. I ordered choose your topping calzone.. Because I didn't feel like paying $21.99 for lamb shank . Ordered chicken dish with baba ganoush instead of hummus, and crispy lavash vegetarian pizza. My calzone was pretty good.. Chicken was dry and lacked on flavor. Baba ganoush was meh... Pizza was pretty good. Half way through our meal server asked if I wanted my check. Geesh could have waited until I finished my meal and took the plates away. It seems Italian food wasn't bad but Mediterranean side was pretty bad. I would not be returning here again.. I gave it a try and over all it was meh....

How many ways can I say OMG? My husband happened upon this place online, and said that we should check it out. Our Saturday date night bought us to Milano's. It was a 25 minute drive from the theater, but quite an enjoyable one, as the sun was just beginning to set. As we approaced, it was just starting to get dark and the lights were on outside. We were immediately seated in a back corner. The ambiance was awesome! I love the interior decor. My husband ordered a beer and I had a glass of wine. It was nice to see a St. Michelle offering, as I grew up across the valley from the winery and know it well. I decided on the 'famous' manicotti, one of my favorite Italian dishes, and my husband tried the meat lasagna. Both dishes were incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. The plates were served very full. With the side salad and bread sticks, it was difficult to consume half of the main course, but we both did, tapping out at about the same time. (As leftovers, these dishes were even more awesome!) Towards the end of our visit, we had a little side show, as our server, Chase, dropped a wine flyer on the floor. She had cleared a table and was headed back to the kitchen. With her arms full of dishes, and being unable to bend without dropping everything, she put her foot on the paper and scooted it across the floor as she walked by us. My husband and I got a huge kick out of that. (I had flashbacks of my boys cleaning their rooms.) As she walked by, I told Chase that the scene was quite entertaining. She had the perfect come back, "You didn't know you came for dinner and a show!" We were all cracking up! It was an awesome evening and we departed with full bellies for the 25 minute drive back home. Thank you for both the dinner and the show, we will be back and will recommend your establishment to all our friends!!

San and Mike serve the best gyro in Mesa! We have been coming here for at least the past 15 years or longer. Very clean and friendly establishment.

The atmosphere and staff are great! The food was okay, there is a lot of potential here but some of the food items might need a refresher on ingredients. We tried the gyro pizza (most popular according to Yelp) and the breadsticks. I will be back to give it another chance. The lavish pizza has great crust! Best part of the dinner.

Do they still have chicken parmigiana? I see a picture of it, but I don’t see it on the menu.

They have a chicken Parm sandwich, but not a chicken Parm entrée.

Boy did I find it…read more There are a few Vito's in the Phoenix area, and all had great reviews and photos that made my mouth water. Ultimately I chose the Mesa store because it was the original and I wanted to see Mesa. We started with a basic garlic cheese bread appetizer and it was great. The calamari was tempting but we'll save that for next time. Wife ordered fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and I ordered the usual Chicken Parmesan which came with a side of pasta. It was actually a harder choice than usual because I walked thru the restaurant before I ordered and so many dishes looked good, as did the pizza. But I went with the usual. Let's start with the wife, which truly speaks to the five stars because she frankly doesn't love Italian food. She eats it when I beg. And she loved it. She actually proactively mentioned she wanted to go back. That's like 7 stars right there it's so abnormal. I agree with her. The chicken parm was fantastic. Amazing. To top it off, our server was great and when I mentioned we were new to the area and it was our first trip she was so nice telling us the history of the original and the other stores, and the manager later stopped by to continue that conversation as the server told her we were new. I mentioned that I live closer to the Scottsdale store, and she said it's the same food and I'll like it just as much. I'll have a hard time deciding which shop to return to - it might be worth the drive to the original just for the ambiance, but I'll give the other a try soon because it was just that good! 5 stars. Or 7 if you ask my wife.

I ended up swapping the…read morebreaded chicken that normally comes with the meal for grilled chicken to avoid the oils from frying. I also subbed the sunrise sauce in and it was so delicious. My only complaint was the portion size for the price. Normally I would get to chicken pieces and have leftover chicken. I remember normally going in and being able to split this dish with my husband, but this time it came with one piece of chicken. This was a little disappointed for the price point and hoping to get more protein. The other really annoying part when dining at Vito's is parking. I circled around twice including the parking lot by the car wash and State Farm and called Vito's asking for advice where to park and was told Walgreens across the street due to a big party they were having in the basement. Lastly, Vito's has a happy hour menu, the discount used to be better in the past so lately I haven't ordered from it. However, the frustrating part is in the summer the only way to benefit from them is to sit outside on the patio. I wish they allowed for seating for happy hour specials during hot summer months to be inside as well.

The "Knucklehead" cocktail is bourbon based with bitters and pear liqueur; I had to try the "I'll Guav Another" and Yes, I had another, it's very more-ish :) The service was excellent and our server was on point with descriptions of dishes and the continued service. The ambiance was very similar to restaurants back in Milano, noisy because people were chatting and having a good time. Thankfully there were no sports TV's close by making for a very pleasant evening out. I had the pasta alle vongole (clams) that was very tasty; I would have liked a bit less oil and fresh parsley on top, but I honestly ate the whole thing and even mopped up the lemon and white wine sauce with the crusty bread they served. We call it "fare la scarpetta" in Italian. The other diners had a chicken dish that looked good too but I didn't taste them, was too engulfed in my pasta...
