Decided to stop in and get a pulled pork sandwich with a side of baked beans. The pulled pork sandwich was great and had plenty of pork in it with good smoked flavor. Hands down best BBQ I have ever had. What I like the most it's the consistency. Not sure how many of you have ever tried barbecuing but it's probably the most difficult thing to ever do and be consistent every single time. We have all smoked that perfect batch of meat, but then try to duplicate it and it came out horrible. These guys eat, live and breathe BBQ. Decent, not great, in my honest opinion. Waited for a while to make special trip from Eugene to this very- buzzed and talked about BBQ place. Not overwhelmed, I must say, and not even close to the "best" bbq around, IMHO. The pulled pork is mixed with bbq sauce, and I am never a fan of that method. Pulled should just be the dry meat, looking ungreasy, and being ready for the eaters creativity with sauce, toppings, cole slaw or whatever. I know there are different styles and methods of pulled pork, but mixing in the sweet bbq sauce has never been a good option for my tastes. Also, the extra weight of the sauce contributes to getting less bbq meat in your order. Sauce on the side tasted like bottle store sauce mostly and was border acceptable, and the beans could be Bush's canned beans mixed with sauce and bbq meat. The beans were OK, because of the thrown in bbq meat, but not wonderful at all, and my Cole slaw was a bit aged looking under the first scoop taken out - and not so appetizing throughout. As slaws go tho, flavor was better than most, similar to the KFC slaw taste, which I don't mind so much. One saving grace was that the BRISKET was pretty good. A tad spicier than most, a bigger fat line along the side than I usually get, but pretty tasty and pretty much like I am used to from most places. The brisket is good, not sure I got my full pound, but it was the best part of the experience. But, not enuff to go back just for that, I'm afraid. Typical, nothing new. SO, edible stuff, but disappointing overall considering the buzz I had heard. I eat a lot of bbq, like going to new places, but this OBCompany only rates a middle grade of C for me on this occasion. No need to rush back, the place by my house is just better all around...in a big way. So are a few others in the Eugene area. The folks are nice, food was quick at the drive up, no sit down except an outside table, spent 60 bucks there and had high hopes, but it just ain't that wonderful. OFFER THE PULLED PORK WITHOUT THE SAUCE MIXED IN, PLEASE... NO FRIES either, which is not unexpected at BBQ places, but when they do have them and do them right....a huge asset, I'd say. I say 3 stars, which is "A-OK" here on Yelp, but not 4 stars ,which is "Yay, I'm a fan." The brisket, corn, and baked beans were so good it made me rethink barbecue. Most places say they do barbecue, but they just merely pour sauce on baked meat. This place has an authentic flavor to the meat and let me tell you about the baked beans. They take the leftover meat and add it to the baked beans so you end up with the most flavorful baked beans that you have ever had the pleasure to eat. This place is pretty good. Decent price for bein along da high way. I got da pulled pork lunch special for $8. The pulled pork sandwich was a bigg ass portion. It was not dry. It was moist. Bread was soft n nice. Bbq beans were on da sweeter side, which I like. I also ordered da 1 rib 4additional $4. It was worth it. I got da end piece which consist of 3 smaller bones, bit still a lot of meat. Da sprite tasted good, it washed everythin down. I must have hit this place on an off day.... VERY off. I ordered the rib and brisket combo. The BBQ that I got had non of the things that make for good BBQ. No color, no smoke ring or smoke flavor and everything was overly tender as to be just mush. I think a lot of people believe that meat that is fall off the bone tender makes for good BBQ. I disagree. There a few main things that make good BBQ a pleasure to eat, my plate had none of those things. Of course tender is important but not overly tender as to just be mushy. The brisket was so salty that I could barely eat it. I felt immediate off after eating here like you would when you've eaten food that too rich, greasy, and salty. Later that morning I finally threw up and was thankful to feel much better after. I'm not saying the food was contaminated or anything, just that it sat in my stomach like a greasy rock long enough that my stomach had had enough. I'm hoping I just hit this place on an off day . It must be because the only other explanation is that these 5 star reviewers have more cast iron stomach than me or they have never eaten truely good BBQ. Decent Q if your looking to get your fix. Personally, I'm not sold on the hoggie roll and lean more toward the traditional bun, albeit its what's between the bread that counts. The pulled pork was moist and tender and had good shred. Overall, it's decent. read more

I'm really upset, a meal ruined by a pubic hair in the cole slaw. We came in off the freeway based on the Yelp reviews. The food was really good and I was enjoying it until a reddish brown hair glinted in the sun sticking out of the slaw I had just taken a bite of. Pulled it out, looked to have fallen out of someone's beard. I hope. My hair is gray, my wife's is blonde, and it was mixed in with the slaw. So gross. Went up to the window, the kid who answered said "no one works here with hair like that". He offered me a free side next time I come in. Next time? Cold day in hell. Suggest you pass this place by unless you have a stomach for that sort of thing. I see where the good reviews come from but clearly not enough care is given food safety. Yuck! read more

I have always enjoyed the sandwiches here. However, OBC had a booth at the Millersburg celebration today. We ordered the hot dogs. The hoagie rolls were dry and the hot dogs were cold, no condiments and the person working the booth was very rude!!! When we asked, after finding out there were no condiments and the food was awful, for a refund so we could go buy decent editable food ,we were "no refunds". Very disappointing! read more

Food was great. Brisket was the best meat in our opinion but all of the meat was good. We tried everything on the menu...Yep we were a little hungry and figured that BBQ is always a good leftover anyways. By ordering the sampler it made it easier to try a lot just by doing that. I've had the best of bbq in Portland, Eugene, Corvallis, San Fran, and Southern California, and Oregon Barbecue Company is the best around. The Pulled Pork is juicy and flavorful without being slathered in bbq sauce (which is amazing), the brisket is nice and smokey without having that artificial smoke flavor, and the BBQ Beans are literally the best thing I've ever eaten. This is my favorite bbq place in the area. They have very tender brisket that just melts in your mouth as you eat. I also love the bbq beams with the pulled pork mixed in. This is a must try. We even had our sons high school grad night catered by them and it was a total hit with everyone at the party. Great selection! We had the two meat meal and it was delicious! We had the two meat meal with delicious fall off the bone ribs and melt in your mouth beef brisket. For our sides we had the best baked beans I have ever had and coleslaw which was very good. No seating in the winter but has tons of picnic tables for the summer. Drive up and walk up service. Good Yelp find on a trip down I-5. When I went to pick up my first rib, the bone came away clean from the meat, it was so tender. I was more careful after that, and enjoyed some very tasty, tender ribs. The sauce was a little sweeter than I liked, and I usually like a bit more heat, but it was still good. My husband had a sausage, which was more like a glorified hot dog. I'd say go with the brisket instead. But he LOVED the baked beans. He likes beans anyway, but these were especially good, probably because of the big chunks of bacon in them. Definitely on the "keeper" list when we're on a trip. read more

Heading south on Interstate 5 you will see this place just before the first Albany exit. They offer drive thru BBQ. First window you order, pull forward and pick up your BBQ. Very fast, easy and good food. I thought it was a good value also. I had had the Pulled Pork Lunch Special. Bun looked like it was from Costco, was the only problem. Pulled Pork was great and a lot of it. Coleslaw was fresh and original. read more
