Drive through BBQ joint. A good idea given the recent fixation with food trucks. There were a generous number of picnic tables around which was pleasant on a warmish end of Summer evening. Be warned though, they only have a porta potty. It was clean enough. Husband had the links which were moist and tasty. I had a brisket which would have been at least $5 more in a sit down restaurant. The potato salad was the tangy style. Beans and cole slaw were good. Portions were good. I would give them a 5th star if they were more generous with the bbq sauce (very small cup) and replaced the containers with cardboard containers instead of white styrofoam which might be a nickle cheaper but do not degrade. read more

Stopped in on the way to Southern Oregon based on all the great reviews. The food here does not match those reviews at all. I ordered the sausage dog which which was covered with pulled pork and coleslaw. Looked amazing. The sausage dog had a very firm texture which made me think it had been sitting in a warmer all day. The pork was cold and the coleslaw had very little flavor. Hubs ordered the pulled pork dish with BBQ beans and coleslaw. They were out of beans so ordered potato salad and slaw. The pork was ok-ish, a bit mushy and lukewarm and the side of BBQ sauces were cold. Which of course made the pork that much colder. He didn't not like the consonance and flavor either salad. We happened upon this little purple bbq place while traveling through Albany, OR. We had the brisket plate. My husband had potato salad and baked beans, I had Paso salad and chips. We found this place near where we were staying in Albany. Being a real 'nut' on bbq, and doing some competition bbqing, I have to say, this was some of the best. The ribs were very good - moist and good meat flavor. The brisket was good, but could have used a little more smoke flavor. For a West Coast "Q" - it was real good. What a nice surprise this place was. Quick stop while on a road trip. We had the brisket, the pulled pork and the chicken. They were all tender and with great flavor. The pork was not full of fat like so many places. Same with the brisket. The baked beans had pieces of the pork in them and the BBQ sauce was tangy without the overwhelming vinegar flavor and had a taste of sweetness. The corn was also nice and sweet without being overlooked. The cole slaw and potato salad were just ok, but since the star of the show was the BBQ itself, it is easy to overlook that shortcoming. The prices can't be beat either. BBQ with 2 sides for $10?!?! The place doesn't look like much and the outdoor picnic tables in a field full of weeds might put off some, but don't let that color your impression. This was a tasty find. Winner-winner! But I'm here to tell you it is possible at Oregon Barbecue Company! I wanted to stop by this new place to check up on some of my little brothers old friends while I was in town.. But I had no idea I was in for such a treat. We tried the pulled pork sandwiches and we were both impressed.. It's funny cause I would have never ordered brisket but they were out of everything else so my husband just brought it home but after trying it can't bring myself to order anything else!! I was excited to try this place based on the reviews. The only thing that is barbq is the sauce. Ordered ribs and pulled pork. Both tasted like they were cooked in a slow cooker and not on a barbq or smoker. They were too tender and soggy, not even a hint of smoke flavor from the cooking process and no bark on the outside that would be found on ribs. The beans and cole slaw were mediocre and lacking of flavor. I did like their bbq sauce. Not worth a return trip. read more

Excellent BBQ! Husband had the ribs and they were cooked to perfection. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. Wasn't dry like some and it was rich with flavor. I especially enjoyed my two sides, potato salad and corn. We were passing through with our travel trailer and found them on Yelp. So glad we stopped and the parking for our 25ft trailer was great. The brisket, corn, and baked beans were so good it made me rethink barbecue. Most places say they do barbecue, but they just merely pour sauce on baked meat. This place has an authentic flavor to the meat and let me tell you about the baked beans. They take the leftover meat and add it to the baked beans so you end up with the most flavorful baked beans that you have ever had the pleasure to eat.
