From the moment we walked in and got to our booth we met Mary Beth our server and she was fantastic!! The place looks very spotless clean and everything looks wiped down. The menu is plentiful with many different choices. Everybody seems they really be enjoying themselves and there's a nice of conversation, but it's not overly stimulating and loud to the point where you can't hear yourself think We just placed our order and I look forward to trying the menu items that we ordered. We're gonna split a stack of blueberry pancakes and we're both getting an omelette and I'm really excited for the flavors and the delicious meal that we are about to enjoy. Fast forward to getting our reasonably priced bill and having a perfectly Full belly. Everything was perfect and I cannot wait to return with my husband who is a foodie. . It's been a minute since we had a Perfect breakfast/ Brunch! See you soon, MaryBeth

Haven't been here in ages and decided to stop by while dog sitting in the area. Close by with a nice big parking lot, plenty of seating and menu options. I was immediately greeted when I walked in by the cashier and hostess. The hostess then lead me to the seating area and asked where I'd like to sit, which is always nice. My server came promptly and took my drink order, and came back quickly to take my food order. She was efficient and knew the menu well, but was rather curt. I was planning on ordering some pancakes after my entree but she never came back after dropping off the food, except to bring the check, which was the only negative on my visit. Went with a western with American, it was fantastic. Nice chunks of fresh veggies, perfect hash browns, and rye toast on the side. Delicious diner food, highly recommend if you're in the area.

This location stays busy, but we were seated pretty fast. Breakfast was great. Service was extremely fast. The food was hot & fresh, and the portions are always generous! I always leave with a full stomach & leftovers.

15 dollas for a tuna salad...could get more for less at Wawa but it was ok.

Returned here after probably at least a year away, since moving to the next county... but revisited for an anniversary. It looked as if they did some renovations, though was way less packed than I remember... and on a Saturday. May have been because there were a lot of events going on in the city or because of the new buffet that opened up nearby, but I was impressed that their prices remained affordable and didn't go up like some other places with the current economy.

Hands down one of the best diners in Philly! Clean, cool, and very well maintained! Seating and service was prompt. We had to take our dishes to go because the portions are so big! Food tasted fresh. I'm usually a wordy person, but because I had such a positive experience, I feel I don't need to go into too much detail. Definitely coming back, and if you haven't yet been, put this diner at the top of your list!

Everything was great. The diner was very busy and had that local place feeling. We had zero complaints with our food. Everything came out fast and tasted great. They even let us store our bags at the front while we ate. Everyone was friendly and it was a great experience overall. There's a ton of seating options with booths and tables. It's cafe style so you pay as you leave.

Nice people food was awful cheese steak cheese was nasty meat was worse I never had such a bad sandwich the cheese wasn't melted but it tasted bad to as soon as I bit it I could tell something wrong with it

We're on our way to Wilkes Barre for a concert and stopped for brunch. Mixed emotions because of our now deceased married (practically 2nd) parents. This was "their" diner, that they frequented DAILY for breakfast! Some really kind staff came up to us with condolences and just to say hi. Very sweet and appreciated. Everything was wonderful- fresh "real" oj, eggs, breakfast sandwich and French toast. Their baked goods looked out of this world, but I passed, due to binkini season rapidly approaching! This is a Philly landmark and rightfully so!

Update: Always 5 stars,, wish I could give more. The walls are full of hoots of what makes Philly special. Alexandra was our server today. Mom had an asparagus omelette and I had a BLT. I ordered two fried eggs to do a DIY sandwich modification and Alexandra read my mind before I could say anything. I now have a new go to brunch comfort food. Thanks ! I highly recommend this place as most locals do, but if you're in town for a game or seeing the sights here in Philly, this is great food, great staff and definitely affordable prices.

I planned on grabbing something to go after the show. As I was perusing the menu I saw several dishes pass by and decided I couldn't wait any longer. In particular I noted the wings and chicken fingers, both of which looked amazing. I got a table next to the bar in their lovely beer garden. Has some TVs, a very friendly staff, and the food looked great. I was blown away by their chicken fingers. Obviously hand breaded, and served with Comeback sauce and your choice of ranch or blue cheese. I ate a few and saved the biggest one for a late night snack. Ended up eating it a couple days later and it was still delicious! I'll have to try the wings next time. Service was great, from hostess to servers, everyone had smiles. Food came out promptly and my drink was refilled without asking. Definitely a good start to the night. The Dungeon Crawl itself was the highlight of the evening! This is in the lounge/bar area of Silk City. It's an intimate setup with the stage in a corner with a dance floor and the bar area and a few tables at the other end. A DJ warms things up while the main act comes on at 8:00. It was Dogs in a Pile for my first visit and I was blown away by the sound and energy. 2 sets of amazing improv and jamming, with a dedicated crowd of music lovers. I can't wait to get to my next one!

We did have to wait a fair bit for our food order to be taken, and again for all four of our meals to come out. We all got breakfast items. I got the eggs Benedict which were very good. One of my friends got the breakfast sandwich called "Trenton makes - the World Takes" and I love the nod to some NJ history. Good food, nice ambiance. This was my first time here but I would definitely come back again.

The Silver Diner excels at all but the key difference here is quality. Quality ingredients matter here and it shows. I had the Power Breakfast, and my wife enjoyed the California Omelette. Both meals were fresh, flavorful, generously portioned, and beautifully prepared. We would absolutely order them again. Our server, Benjamin, deserves special recognition. He was friendly, attentive, checked on us at just the right times, and never made us feel rushed. His service was outstanding and added to an otherwise wonderful dining experience. The only disappointment was the beverage pricing. I'll admit that we typically don't study the menu prices before ordering--that was probably our mistake. After eating in restaurants for more than 70 years, however, I can honestly say these beverage prices are among the most outrageous I've encountered. We were charged $3.99 for a single cup of black coffee and $5.99 for one glass of lemonade--nearly $10 for two beverages. The coffee was simply one ordinary cup of black coffee, and the lemonade was so incredibly sweet that it was almost undrinkable. Neither beverage came close to justifying its price. It's unfortunate because everything else was excellent. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and Benjamin's exceptional service make Silver Diner a place we would gladly visit again. However, management should seriously reconsider charging nearly $10 for one standard cup of coffee and one mediocre glass of lemonade. Prices like that leave customers feeling taken advantage of and detract from what is otherwise a terrific dining experience. We'll definitely be back--but next time we'll probably skip the beverages unless the pricing becomes more reasonable.
