(Ryan Reynolds voiceover) The vibe is fab cafe right next to Los Gatos High! Eddie warmly greeted me! Dio Frappé! New! Delish! Perfect sweetness! Macchiato! Traditional! mmhmm. That's right, ladies! Greek Yogurt avec Honey! Soo good! Would order everything again! Thanks, Eddie! Woohoo!

Overall just okay. The food was decent but not standout for the price... the steak was tough and underwhelming, and the lobster pasta didn't resemble the online photos; the sauce was watery. Service was friendly but very slow and seemed understaffed toward the end, so we skipped dessert to avoid more waiting. An acceptable experience, but not one I'd return for.

We are back for more delicious Greek food and wine and we love it here. Our waiter Dimitri has zero personality. We are ordering sashimi and scallops and Brussels sprouts since we had them on Saturday night when we sat at the bar and that was way more fun!!!

Dio Deka is located in a lovely, safe, lively but quiet, neighborhood. From the moment we stepped in the doors to the moment we stepped out, we were greeted with courtesy and perfect service. The staff was quick, knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive to when our water was low of if we needed a new napkin or silverware. They took extra care to bring a decanter for our bottle of wine, then they poured our wine and even gave us new glasses when we had a second different bottle. It's the little details that really make their quality of service stand out. The ambience is wonderful! Beautiful decorations that give a warm, upper class homey feel. The touch of having a fireplace inside brings out the romance. To top it off, the food is fabulous! Our party enjoyed the: octopus appetizer-cooked perfectly, lobster fettuccine-flavors were delectable, rib eye steak-seasoned well and cooked to perfection, seafood risotto- wonderful flavors and fresh seafood, pork chop- large and juicy and paired well with a slightly sweet topping Branzino- the fish was moist with a slight crisp, and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. For dessert, we could not make up our mind so we got: Cheesecake baklava- soft and creamy with a flaky baklava crust, Loukoumades-perfectly crispy and soft beignets, with just the right amount of sweetness, Yiaourti-thick, creamy, slightly tart yogurt, with the perfect sweetness from the berries. We came here for my mother's birthday. They truly made her feel like a queen. I would definitely come back and I recommend this place to everyone!

The meal was consistent and clean, which I appreciated. The taste was mild and simple, not bad but lacking excitement. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere casual, so overall it felt like a fair three-star dinner.

This place is the ultimate date night spot to go to with your significant other. Our waiter was super friendly and very informative about the wine and food menu. My husband ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly. I ordered the scallops with risotto and the flavor was incredible. We split the seafood pasta and while it was good, it wasn't nearly as incredible as our personal dishes we ordered. Their homemade tiziki was light and fresh and complimented their homemade bread. Overall, it was a great experience, worth the high price point! We would happily go back here for a special occasion again.

The lobster pasta was definitely the star of the show!

I've been meaning to try this place for awhile. As a Greek, I pride myself to try the many different authentic Greek restaurants in the area. So when hubby suggested to go on a date night, I knew just where I wanted to go. I'd give this place 3.5 stars out of 5. This restaurant is tucked away from the busy downtown of Los Gatos. It's actually a restaurant part of a hotel. So if you aren't staying at the hotel, you have to park on the street. We didn't have any trouble finding street parking but you do get the sense that you are in a hotel ambiance. One of the highlights is walking into the entrance and seeing the beautiful fountain! We were immediately greeted and seated. The ambiance I'd say was decent. They have Greek music playing but the lighting could have been better. Now for the food. I had reviewed the recommendations from previous yelpers so I had an idea what to order. The main tip is yes, definitely order the Greek dishes as that is their specialty! For appetizers, we had the fried zucchini and the saganaki. Now the Saganaki is typically served flambé but they actually took a different spin to their saganaki. They serve it more sweeter, drizzled with honey. Apparently that's how the owners grandmother used to make it so I thought that was a nice touch. It was interesting for a saganaki though as I was used to more savory! The main meals were delicious. I had the lobster pasta and the sauce and the lobster melted in your mouth. It was also a generous portion which I appreciated. Hubby had the lamb shanks that were also tasty. The one thing to note about the meals is that you order the main dish (like lobster pasta or lamb shank) and you have to order the sides seperately (the potatoes, veggies, etc). I thought that was a little weird and not to mention it was costly for the amount as well. This is not very typical in Greece so I didn't think that part was that authentic. For dessert we had the baklava although at that point we were both ready to be rolled out of the restaurant because we were so full! The service was also pretty attentive and friendly. Overall I thought it was a nice place and we had a lovely time but I don't think I will be back. It doesn't compare to the caliber of the other Greek restaurants in Palo Alto that we go often to. You definitely feel like you are part of a hotel, not just its separate restaurant. Full disclosure, it was a tad forgettable in that sense, and the fact we had to order sides as extra kind of turned me off. However I am still glad I tried it. I'd recommend coming here for a date night to try it out for yourself! Just be prepared to pay extra for sides, feel as if it's part of a hotel and have it be semi-Greek authentic. And if you do come here, definitely get the lobster pasta!!!

Went to Dio Deka for my second time and I was absolutely blown away by the food and the service. We were there as a group of 12 to celebrate a birthday dinner; we were warmly greeted and had the most amazing server, Athos, who gave perfect food recommendations and was so lively that his presence really brightened our already wonderful evening. The cocktail menu is a little short and not my style so Athos recommended a raspberry mojito and it was the best mojito I've had, such strong mint flavor! We ordered spanikopita, octopus, and carrot fritters as appetizers and all three were delicious. The char and flavor on the octopus was so good! I finally found an octopus to rival the one at Hero Ranch Kitchen :) I had the lobster pasta for my entree and the ekmek for dessert and both were full of flavor and unlike other dishes I've had before. I also tried a friend's baklava and it was the best I've ever had. Thank you to Dio Deka and Athos for such a fun, memorable evening!

Went for a birthday dinner, thought we'd class it up a bit and go for some fine Greek dining at Dio Deka, which didn't disappoint. A couple of us had the Arni Youvetsi "lamb volcano shank", which was delicious and a sizeable portion. We also had the lobster pasta, which was great as well (as long as you don't mind looking at a lobster head ); rich and creamy sauce. Marco was an amazing server and gave great guidance on both food and drink. Ambiance is light, modern, and chatty. I haven't been here for a few years, but I have to come back sooner.

Excellent food but check the prices before you go. All very good. Lamb shank favor was a solid 10/10!

Their menu is small but each item is intentional and clearly has a lot of thought put into it I went there for brunch this weekend and I loved everything. They have a great loaded chicken salad sandwich with avocado and bacon. It comes on its own if you're not feeling super hungry, but of course I opted to add a very generously sized pile of show string fries to my meal. We tried 4 of their brunch cocktails and all of them were excellent; the basil punch, Hugo spritz, peach Bellini, and another drink that I can't remember the name of that had gin. All of the cocktails were well balanced with bright citrus, a decent amount of liquor, and not too sweet. My favorite was the basil punch, which tasted like a very elevated limeade. Definitely recommend sitting on their large patio, the restaurant is called park side for a reason! If it's too hot or one of the few rainy days in California, they have ample seating inside as well. The service was excellent and our servers were friendly, attentive, and offered to bring things like additional condiments without us having to ask.

Parkside did the trick for us! We both ordered wine since we're on a wine kick--the Chablis and a Bordeaux, which were both great. For food, I ordered the chicken salad sandwich (which is actually a little out of the norm for me) with a side salad, and my boyfriend ordered the fried chicken sandwich. They definitely didn't skimp on either sandwich! The chicken salad sandwich truly hit the spot; it was filling yet still refreshing, and I loved the balance of savory and sweet / tart with the bacon, grapes and apple pieces. My boyfriend also said his side fries were some of the best. As far as ambiance, the restaurant and patio were full and lively on a Sunday but didn't feel overly crowded or loud. It was busy, so the service was understandably a little slow, but we did wait a while to order and had to wave someone down for our check. Would definitely come back to try some dinner options!

The hostess was very friendly and showed us to our table. We had a table inside, which was an intimate upscale casual area with a bar. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for a starter. For entrees, we had the halibut and prime filet with a side of broccolini. Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Drinks are on the pricey side- I had a Hero Old Fashioned and the Taylor Made, $20 each. They were nicely crafted, so worth the price. They brought out a Carmel Popcorn Sundae for my husband's birthday and even gave him a birthday card which I thought was a nice touch. Service was slow and steady. The restaurant had a nice visual ambience, but also felt casual as there was a lot of chatter, which isn't a bad thing depending on what you're looking for. Our waiter was especially friendly and helped us decide what to order. I really wish I could remember his name, as I'm posting this a bit late, but he was a huge reason why we had a great experience! Here's a quick rating on the food itself: Stuffed mushrooms (3.5/5): This was recommended by the waiter as a favorite among patrons. The mushrooms weren't bad or anything, but for some reason, it gave me combination pizza vibes that I wasn't expecting. It was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to order it again personally. Bone-in ribeye (5/5): an amazing cut that was cooked perfectly. Exactly what you would expect from a good steakhouse. The compound butter was fantastic! Bone-in apricot glazed pork chop (3.5/5): this one may hit different for different folks. The pork was perfectly cooked and juicy, but the apricot glaze was definitely a little too sweet for our palettes. If you're looking for something more savory, I might try something else. But hey, sweet might be your thing too! Caramel popcorn sundae (4.5/5): we got this one complimentary for being our special day, which was a really nice surprise! And it was a full serving! This one was obviously sweet, but surprisingly more subdued than it sounds, which was really nice! Overall, it was truly a memorable night with great food. And though some things didn't quite work for our palettes, I can totally see that it may for others--so that didn't impact my ratings because they were still good--just not for us. That said, the care that we received on our anniversary was what truly made me land on a 5/5 rating. Definitely coming back for future special occasions!

Parking wasn't too bad at 6pm (we could park in the middle areas of the hotel parking lot) but by the time we left, the parking lot was full. She provided us with recommendations at the top and when we were asking questions about getting multiple dishes family-style, she provided feedback on whether it would be enough for the table. We felt well-attended to. Asa does rotate through their menu and the main downside was timing for us! My sister really wanted the carbonara she had seen on the menu but they had literally switched over to their spring menu. No carbonara for my sis. :( We shared: Jamon Iberico (good, straightforward), Caesar salad (I wish I had had my own! Really well dressed), trumpet mushrooms (the vinegar was a little too strong for my sister but I thought it was tasty and delicious), cauliflower (sister's favorite dish), spring pasta à la vodka (good, although it didn't particularly stand out in my opinion), exotic mushroom rigatoni (delicious!) and my favorite, the Argentine steak. The chimichurri sauce was perfect to balance out the meat, and I loved dipping the fries in the remnants of the sauce. Only 2 of us got dessert and we both chose the olio nuevo ice cream. Sat at the bar again. Disclaimer is this is just my experience.... As we sat down we were greeted just fine. Ordered a couple cocktails. The wife received hers and about 5-8 mins later I asked for mine. Whether or not it was true the bartender said it needs time to set. Well you could have said it takes time while my wife was waiting to sip on hers(mediocre communication). We then proceeded to order the scallop appetizer. While the presentation was good. The scallops were rubbery and overcooked. A few mins later we had to ask to order some entrees. Key words "had to ask". I got the hot stone trio. She got the lobster risotto. We decided on indulging a little. While we were waiting I asked for a wine list... 5 minutes later I asked again different server finally got the list. No revisit. The food came. Still looking to order wine about 8-10 mins in a different bartender came in and asked, we ended up getting a bottle wine. The food: the hot stone trio, for $230, mediocre cuts of supposedly A5 Japanese wagyu. They were out of the Sanuki and said we'll substitute with an Oregon beef. Just not worth the money. The lobster was ok, the risotto was already cooled off, seemed like it was sitting. So for 2 of us with a $700 plus meal the service was not on par with other similar establishments. Combine that with food that was definitely not worth the $$$$, it is not a return for me. Including hosting business here. Not sure if they judged us cause we weren't all dressed up, due to just coming from the local movie theater or what, but service was not there, unfortunate.

Sweet of our server to ask them to split it for us. -tagliatelle & truffle cream sauce (5/5) chicken was tender & flavors were great, the truffle wasn't overpowering at all -chicken parm with fettuccine (5/5) really good flavors & the chicken still had a lil crisp for parts not drenched in the savory marinara sauce We also got a mocktail; I got one topped with a lychee, very refreshing & not too sweet. Our server was very attentive & fun to talk to. Thanks for taking great care of us! Will def be back for their yummy homemade pasta :) Ambiance is nice, glad we were able to sit in the back away from the hustle & bustle in the main area.

That's how much beef in the plate and I can't pick up with my fork because they're so tiny it fell right off! The girl next table ordered the same thing and my reaction was "oh no...." The pasta texture was kinda hard and crumbly as if it was cooked last night half way thru and reheat in the microwave just before serving. Everything was just so wrong and I eventually had to tell the waitress to take it away and she was kind enough to not charge me for that plate. Me and my friend shared the seafood linguine with white wine sauce which turned out to be pretty good so that's the 2 stars. This is also the first time I've ever had to send a dish back to kitchen.
