    Esquites ($11 for 1 serving, $16 for 2 servings)

My boyfriend and I decided to grab some food before heading to Summer beach then Watsonville for the 4th of July fireworks. He suggested this Mexican restaurant. I was charmed by the fun, semi-fancy atmosphere. Some of the paintings were funny. I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered some esquites from the small bites section in the menu and a sangria. My boyfriend went for a supreme quesadilla with guac and a Cadillac margarita. The food was good, and our server was incredibly attentive and nice. I did find the sangria a bit questionable, as it tasted more like red wine than the sweet sangria I'm used to. Also, the portions were a bit small for the price, which was a minor drawback. It was interesting to see the maracuya drink here, when I usually see them in Peruvian restaurants. Overall, it was an okay experience.

Came back after over ten years and they now have a vegan burrito that is delicious and filling. The SO got the al pastor torta and it came with a huge salad on the side. Will be back to retry the menu. Food still comes out fast and efficiently.

Loved the happy hour here! The Cadillac Margarita is delicious and not too sweet, and both the Baja and grilled fish tacos feature fresh fish, crispy tortillas, and great portions. The restaurant was crowded and understaffed, but the reception and servers were still incredibly attentive and nice. The space has a super cute patio out back with a cozy feel. Keep in mind the unisex bathroom needs a code. Great food, drinks, and vibes all around!

FOOD was decent. I had a chicken salad of some sort. The chicken was more burnt than I prefer. The bathroom requires a code. Inside is not the nicest ever but the stained glass on the walls were beautiful. Server at the register was cordial.

Asked for extra chicken on my green salad. Take a look at the picture for the tiny size (less than 8 small pieces of chicken while charging me additional $7

Solid Mexican food! Cute outdoor patio space (dog friendly) and good service. A classic spot in downtown Los Gatos.

Had not been to this place in many many years. They have now changed it to sit down only, which doesn't match up for a casual spot like this. The food was just OK. It definitely looked better than it tasted and I ate the whole plate because I was hungry, but it wasn't all that much food. It was nice food nothing special. I really didn't want to pay extra to have to tip, but of course I did. My lunch was about $31 for just a mediocre enchilada plate and a Diet Coke, including tip.

    Here's the guac.

Got an order to go. Guac was brown and smelled. Took back which took some time to return and the woman worker said, "it's fresh, deal with it." Certainly not having a good night. So, just a heads up maybe check the Togo guac.

I've definitely had better..they were pretty quick with making my food but while I was eating, someone was yelling in the back... the chipotle burrito was OK. I prefer my shrimp to be grilled like on a barbecue and my steak to be square cut pieces and not brisket.. I enjoyed the nachos, but the rest was all right. The only thing was that the nachos chips were burnt and I don't prefer my chips to be that way.

My friend and I picked up lunch to go on a Thursday afternoon. It was fairly busy but no wait. The small kitchen restaurant feels too much like a small cafeteria inside. Although they do have some street patio seating. Which I would have opted for vs. the small dining area indoors. But we took ours to the Plaza park across the street. Way better option than anything else. The gentleman at the front taking orders was pleasant and knowledgeable about the recommendations of meats to choose from for my burrito bowl. I chose to go with "Al Pastor", black beans, leafy greens, no rice, Mexican cheese, salsa, jalapeños, and cilantro. My friend chose the crispy steak tacos (order comes with 3). I don't think I'll ever order the burrito bowl again. It was a small serving I side a large plastic bowl. For the price it's not worth it and the meat was so greasy. I could have easily poured out the grease there was so much of it. Since we were at the park, I didn't have anything to pour grease into. My friend said her tacos were ok in flavor and wouldn't order them again. Our meal cost was about $28. Wow! If you want Salsa from their salsa bar, they give you 3 small containers. You're only allowed 3 containers per order. (We ordered together.) Otherwise, they charge for additional containers.

2 Burrito Chipotle (we only ordered 1), Quesadilla Suprema, & breakfast burrito take out. You wont get salsa unless you ask for it.

This is Andale Kitchen, not Andale Restaurant which is across the street. People are checking in and posting pics of the wrong place. Andale Kitchen is tiny with only 5 tables, a kitchen, and no outdoor seating.. If you want to order take-out the Kitchen is the easiest, fastest, & cheapest. If you want to sit down with a group or sit on an outdoor patio then you want to go to the restaurant across the street. We ordered takeout from the Kitchen location and it's okay, not great. They estimated 15 minutes but it was done in 5 so it sat on the counter for a bit before we got there. We ordered the Quesadilla Suprema (only 3 pieces), Burrito Chipotle, & the Breakfast Burrito. My gf said the breakfast burrito was really good. I thought the quesadilla and chipotle burrito were just okay(bland) and needed hot sauce from our fridge for flavor. I put the quesadilla on our comal to brown it & get it crunchy. Nothing came with salsa so be sure to ask for salsa if you want it. Basically our experience was meh... Americanized Mexican food, not our first choice but a lot of people like it. Try it, you might like it too.

*First time review, DoorDash order* Danggg this place is good! My partner didn't feel like going out tonight because of the crazy rain we are having so we DoorDashed. Nachos: 4.5/5 partner ordered nachos with steak (no sour cream) and that's exactly what he got. He said they were sooo good and the steak has lots of flavor. Huge amount for the price too. Will definitely order again. Tortilla soup: 5/5 this is one of the best tortilla soups I've had in forever! I was a bit nervous ordering this for delivery because the tortilla chips would be soggy but they had an option for me to select "on the side". Loaded with so much chicken, fresh avocado slices, the broth was very flavorful and still hot! They also gave me a lot of tortilla strips, no shortage by any means. Can't believe this soup was $12. We are 100% going to order again and dine in next time.

Hey there Party People…read more I had heard of this place from friends so I decided to try it. I confused this place with another restaurant when I did my first review. So I want to set the record straight because Los Gatos Cafe was a really good experience. It's a small place but there are outside tables as well. You can order lunch at any time as well as breakfast. We started with Banana Chocolate Chip pancakes. Holy smokes they were the bomb. They had a ton of fresh bananas inside as well as a nice amount of chocolate chips on top. I had the Hot Turkey and Pear sandwich. I know the combo sounds weird but it was super tasty. The pear added crunch and sweetness to the sandwich. There was also a good dose of grilled onions to go with the owie gooey cheese....yum. Hubby had the Granite Flank Steak Sandwich . It was smothered in Gorgonzola cheese with a good portion of Flank Steak. The steak was tender and well seasoned. It was the perfect flavor bite. So going to add this place to the frequent flier list. Be kind to one another

I tried a good variety of the menu, Shrimp & Grits, Pulled Pork Benedict, Chicken & Waffles, Banana Nutella Churro Waffle, and Cornbread and Coffee cake. I've had grits a few times in the past and have never really liked them before, that was until these! The Shrimp & Grits was actually a highlight! The shrimp were cooked perfectly and there was a good portion of them. Really flavorful dish. Other favorite was the Pulled Pork Benedict and Chicken & Waffles. Great portions and flavor on each. The Banana Nutella Churro Waffle was a little decadent and sweet for me, but I would've loved that dish when I was younger, and probably could've eaten the whole thing too. Service was friendly and food didn't take long to come out. Love that they have indoor and outdoor seating, we opted for inside this time, but would definitely pick outside on a nice day!

If you're hoping to sit inside, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The service was wonderful from start to finish. My friend and I both ordered the smash burger and I've got to say it was easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned so well. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and absolutely delicious. And whatever you do, DO NOT skip the bread pudding. It was a 1000/10! Not overly sweet, perfectly balanced, and the texture was incredible. If you're on the fence about dessert, just order it, you won't regret it. The only minor downside was that the sodas were very flat and tasted a bit syrupy. Other than that, everything was fantastic. The prices were reasonable, the portions were generous, and the overall experience was excellent for such a cute spot in downtown Los Gatos. Will definitely be returning soon!

Our server was Therese who took excellent care of us. She was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Also, the manager came around to check up on us, to make sure we didn't have last calls right before the kitchen closed. That was considerate. We decided on ordering the... Grilled Pork Chop: bourbon marinated grilled peach compote, peach, red onion & tomato salad (4/5). The presentation was gorgeous. A Sous vide pork chop with grill marks cooked to a medium temperature. Savory and complemented with the tangy, spicy, and tart salad. A tad heavy handed on the salt for the sauce, otherwise, it was still delicious. Gnocchi Ragu: lamb bolognese, pecorino (4/5). The meat sauce was delicious. The gnocchi itself was sizeable and decent. Fries (4/5) - medium shoe string cut fries that were hot, crispy, and lightly seasoned. So fresh and right out of the deep fryer. Parkside Bread Pudding: vanilla gelato, pecan praline (4/5). This was delicious. Therese was told by the kitchen staff that they unfortunately ran out of the pecan praline when she brought it out. Though, it was still decadent and divine. Therese even brought us a complimentary beignets for a birthday celebration. We will be back! Generous amounts of chicken breast in the chicken pesto crepe and the sauce is just right - tasty and mouth watering, without being salty or too rich. The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too.
