Finding a good Chinese food place is so hard but this one is pretty good!! It's a bit pricey compared to what I've had before but the quality is there. I've tried the General Tso's chicken, Sweet & Sour chicken, Honey chicken, Seasme chicken and the chicken and beef with broccoli and it's all so good! Had to knock off a star because they don't offer egg rolls. However, they do make an amazing spring roll, yes I should have ordered about a half a dozen..maybe next time:) This place, having ordered from them previously and continuing to do so should be tell-tale that the orders have been accurate, the portion to price ratio is fair and the delivery has been incredibly quick! Thus far have been sooner than predicted! That's awesome! Egg drop soup is rich, deeply golden and tasty..the fried rice, meh, its a bit dry...no big; roasted pork and beef with broccoli were flavorful which more than made up for it. Yes, they sent packets of soy sauce, spicy mustard and duck sauce...fortune cookies? Yep, those came through too! Great place, try 'em out someday. read more

I used to eat here all the time due to low prices. Food was always meh. About a week ago, we ordered online from their website. 40 minutes later we call to check on the order and they told us they cancelled our order because they would only accept cash. We were never informed of this on the website AND they never called us to tell us. Don't accept credit card payments if you aren't willing to. Not the worst, and probably the best that this area has to offer in this area and price range. The food is fairly consistent and tastes good. Crab Rangoon here is especially good (with the exception of one time when it was less crispy and more chewy)! We normally get it delivered, and have only been to the location once, and even then it was just for take out. It isn't exactly someplace you would look forward to eating in at. I enjoy Oriental Express. They have quick delivery and have never messed up my order (which I can't say about most restaurants I've ordered from.) I enjoy their spring rolls and hot & sour soup, as well as most of the foods I've ordered. I find that their beef dishes tend to be quite heavy on the veggies, which can be frustrating for my hubbie--but they're yummy, nonetheless. My kids love the sweet & sour chicken & the chicken teriyaki. It's definitely a to-go place--the dining area doesn't look like a fun place to hang out in--but I generally want it at home anyway. They prepare food quickly---it's generally ready in 10 minutes when I'm picking it up, and delivered in 30-40 minutes. read more

My review is solely based on what I've eaten there. I had there green beans and shrimp with vegetables. Both are well seasoned and extremely delicious. They have a good kick of spice and man the portions are huge for lunch. I have not tried anything else here, but those two I highly recommend. We order from Oriental Express at least once a week. Yesterday was not such a great experience. They were over 30 minutes late with the delivery, and when they got here the order was not complete. The food for some reason was cold and very oily. The restaurant did make good on the rest of the food, but it was also cold by the time it got here, and when the driver knocked on the door, he handed me what had been left at the restaurant then expected another tip. Sorry, but, you didn't deserve the first tip!! I am really disappointed in Oriental Express this time around. Everyone can have a bad day, but, when your paying for a service and you tip before they even arrive, you expect what you order and when they tell you they will deliver your order, not 30 min. late and not with your full order. My go-to for quick chinese. I've lived in the Centreville area for most of my life, and this is my preferred takeout. (Close 2nd- fortune gourmet) reasonably priced, and the lunch specials are a WONDERFUL value, more than enough for 1 meal. I decided to give this place a try and ordered for delivery today. I got the tempura shrimp, egg drop soup, shrimp fried rice and veggie lo mein. The "tempura" shrimp wasn't fried in a tempura batter but in some batter that made ballooned and made the shrimp look like blowfish. The rest of the items were A-ok. Got delivery tonight, I am a happy camper! Took less than 15 minutes after I ordered on Grub Hub. Hunan chicken was hot, spicy and there was plenty of meat not just filler veggies. Also got hot & sour soup which was good, and beef fried rice, which was alright. Not the best fried rice I've had, probably wouldn't get it again. FOOD WAS DISGUSTING !! I love chinese food and like to try new areas. I am a regular customer for Peking Village 2 on Lee highway, which inspired me to try Oriental Express. I must say that it was one of the worst decisions of my life about eating out. I tried Chow Mein and spring rolls. The food has no taste...no flavor. I like spicy food so I asked the food to be cooked a little spicy but the it was flavorless and had no taste. I was on my way to centreville library, so I had to eat there itself. So when I took 4 -5 bites, I realized that I could not bare the food any more. So I had to ask for hot sauce. The cashier gave me a look and charged me a dollar to put hot sauce on my food. Guys please try other chinese joints. It would be total waste to get food from this place unless your taste buds are dead. The food is absolutely tasteless and staff is extremely rude. I don't live in Centreville, but my in-laws do. One day, I was at my in-law's house and decided to order some Chinese food. I fired up GrubHub and picked out Oriental Express from the relatively small list of restaurants that deliver in their neck of the woods. I was glad I did. It was a Sunday afternoon, and I ordered two lunch specials for $7.25 each. Many Chinese restaurants do not do lunch specials on weekends, so props to Oriental Express for this. The food came relatively quickly, was very good, and the portion size was good too. At many Chinese restaurants, "lunch special" means you get a pathetic serving of meat with a ton of rice, but at Oriental Express they do not do this. Also, when I told them no carrots on one of my dishes, they listened and didn't put carrots on it. Overall I had a very positive experience with Oriental Express. I wish I had Chinese delivery this cheap where I live! read more
