    Sesame chicken combo
    Meredith K.

Oof it pains me to rate so low but this might be the worst Chinese food in the area. I just got back from a long trip and wanted deliverable Chinese food. Ordered sesame chicken dinner combo with crab wontons. Over $25 with delivery just for two things... Chicken is horrible, my two year old won't eat it either. Wontons are ok, egg drop soup is ok but our mason dish is inedible. Don't waste money at this restaurant . Ration of rice to chicken is overwhelming. Super disappointed

I love this place. I admit I have a sentimental attachment to it as well, because it was me and my late father's go-to Chinese food place. When we first moved to centreville from Dunn loring, I was afraid we weren't going to find a place whose fried rice I liked better than my then-current Chinese place. Now, I can't even remember the place I used to go to! I myself have moved back to the Tyson's corner area, but I still come out to centreville specifically for their egg fried rice, no vegetables (I'm basically still 5 years old and hate my vegetables). Put some Tabasco on it and it's just amazing. I remember their kung pao chicken has a lot of peanuts. It was a good balance of sweet and spicy but I prefer spicy. If you do too, ask them to add more chili peppers. It's not much of a place to dine in. There are only two tables of four; the store front is pretty small. Not sure I know many people who eat fast Chinese food at the actual restaurant itself though. There's a fridge of some coke and Pepsi products. The portions are plentiful and the price is cheap and the food is tasty. What more can you ask for?

Covid cautious and the food was fresh and hot even when we got home! The Chinese biscuits were fluffy and sweet and the sweet and sour was delicious! The wonton soup though was the best as it had a strong ginger taste which I loved. The wings were good too and was served with a heaping amount of rice. The fried rice was okay for me, I prefer plain rice but my mom loved it. Forgot to take a picture of the fried wontons, but they were delicious too! Will go back to them!

I'd gotten Chinese to go from here a few years ago - but it had been a long time and I could not remember anything about the quality of the food and what my overall experience was. So I got dinner here today to go. I ordered the Hot and Sour Soup and the Hunan Chicken. The menu indicated the Hunan Chicken is a spicy dish - which I am always looking for. It took them about 5 minutes to whip out my food. While I was waiting, I noticed an envelope sitting on the counter - all addressed, stamped, and ready to go for the U.S. Postal Service. The recipient? The Fairfax County Health Department - Environmental Services. That really inspires confidence! I took my food home and it was very, very average. Less than average. The Hunan Chicken was chicken, with broccoli and onions in a brown sauce. It had little flavor and was not spicy at all. The Hunan Chicken I've had at other Chinese restaurants contained a wider variety of vegetables. The soup was also just very plain and blah. I was disappointed. While there are a few tables in here - if you were going to get food here - you would not want to eat in. It's just not an attractive or fun place. I probably will never go back.

First time to try this chinese take out/dine in place. The choices are pretty decent and prices are ok. Friendly counter service. Had the orange beef and it was tender and tasty. The chow mien, spicy eggplant were all great. They deliver for $12 minimum order. Would try again next time.

Anyway, they have all day combos which comes with rice or fried rice and an egg roll. Most places only have combos for lunch. We ordered the general tso chicken combo with plain rice and chicken in hunan style with plain rice, chicken lo mein, and Szechuan green beans. I didn't love either the general tso chicken or Hunan chicken, but they were both good. General tso chicken includes both white and dark meat. The dark meat isn't skinless, and immediately falls off with the batter. The sauce was good though- tangy and sweet. I agree with another Yelp that the protein could be chopped into smaller pieces. Hunan style chicken was a touch salty but was good with rice. The green beans are usually my favorite at other restaurants, but it was a little under seasoned and under cooked here. The lomein was nothing special. Chicken in the lomein is dry. Ambiance- it looks like they don't offer dine in any more. The tables were clustered and roped off.

For anyone who's ever had Chinese chicken wings knows that they are not overly breaded and juicy. This was caked with breading and a bit dry. Hard to eat. Don't recommend. Shrimp fried rice was a bit undercooked but edible. The green beans weren't bad. Had a little kick to them.

Years ago, back in 2013ish, we tried this Chinese takeout place because it was nearby. At the time…read morethere was an opinionated man taking our order which wasn't a huge deal, just weird, but the food left something to be desired. Fast forward to 2026 and we thought we'd try again because maybe something had changed. Ordered through the online platform, enough so that we could score the free spring rolls. Food arrived super-fast to our delight! Unfortunately, the food wasn't so great. The chicken appetizers were either incredibly overdone, flavorless, or both. The spring rolls were okay. The soup was about 90% white pepper, while the soup crackers were extremely stale and rancid. One of the entrees was incredibly salty; the other was incredibly bland. The appearance of both was very brown with obvious charring (not the good kind). Every dish seemed to share the same particular flavor. The fortune cookies, however, were very fresh, not stale as I'd expected given everything else. Conclusion: I already wasn't a fan in the past, and it seems to have gone downhill from there. Would not recommend.

He assumed I was vegan to lose weight (I'm not) and said I looked malnourished and needed to eat meat. Also unprompted. He compared my weight to my friend's (she is thin but taller), saying she was fat/curvy. I can assure you that she is skinnier than he is. He also said he thought that my 17-year-old friend was 12 (after calling her curvy!!!), ALSO unprompted. He continued to make small talk after both of us were just trying to order and leave. We were incredibly civil (I regret being so nice) and I could tell my friend was uncomfortable. After we left, I remembered that I don't have to be nice to assholes, so this review is going to be far from kind. I hope this review can warn someone to never take their daughters here. Old men don't get the societal pressures women face. It's more than just a comment on our weight, it's how society values us as humans. All we are to society is our weight and men like him will never understand how that feels. Call me sensitive, but I'd rather be sensitive than an asshole. It's time to retire. TL;DR beware of old white man who bases what women should look like off of the child p0rn he watches. Must I stress calling a supposed 12-year-old curvy? Ew.
