Why we get takeout here....Lumpia, Pancit, Adobo... All of those items are delicious comfort food options for me and my family. Why we do takeout, inside, is a little worn and dark for my preference of where I eat. The food we typically order at minimum 6 different types of food/dishes and is usually ready within 30 minutes. The food was delicious. Everything was handmade and fresh so excited by how inexpensive the food was for such a high-quality. My leftovers from other restaurants tasted fresher than what i bought today.. The Sesame Chicken had to be pre-cooked and dry as a bone and had very little sauce on to really make it unappealing.. As I have mentioned before, I love eating authentic Asian food. There is nothing too crazy or unique that I won't try it at least once. Nevertheless, occasionally I get a craving for old school Americanized Chinese food. I am guessing the craving is a nostalgic leftover from growing up in the late 70's and early 80's when my parents would take us out for Chinese food before the movies. At that time, beef with broccoli and greasy egg rolls seemed really exotic. My oldest daughter and I were home alone recently and both were craving Chinese takeout and have never tried this place before. I have to admit we were not impressed... the service was friendly and the price was reasonable, however the food was really not so good. My daughter, after taking a few bites, threw her whole meal away. She is a bit picky but I tasted her chicken chow mein and didn't argue with her decision.... it was soupy and bland. This is really a 3.5 star rating, being generous. Why? The little Filipino lady at the front was super sweet, friendly, talkative and thoughtful, she made sure we had everything we needed to take back to our hotel room. We took our food to go, and the other lady who brought our food up was also super nice. So, service = 8.5 out of 10. Food: very plentiful, large portions, we were not left hungry. Quality and taste were pretty darn good for the price. Chicken fingers?? They came with the combinations and were basically pieces of white meat chicken fried in corn dog like thick batter, odd, but good. Duck sauce was good. Dumplings were thick and huge, sauce was good. Overall food = 7.5 out of 10, not bad for the price. This is not gourmet Asian food. But they don't try to be. They know who and what they are, inexpensive, plentiful, "good" food that is made fresh and quick and can be delivered to your door in a large area. I've been going here for almost 20 years. I have never had a time where the food was subpar or not great. I love the staff as they always have a smile and like to chitchat. The prices are beyond reasonable in fact less than most places I go for Chinese. The menu is absolutely huge in the portions are very large also. This is a family owned place and one of my favorite things about it is at some points some of the family members are there including the younger children. Seems to be at least three generations that are there. I would highly recommend this place for takeout or dining. The food is always hot, fresh, and you receive more than you expect! read more

I just had EGG FOO YOUNG THE first time in my 55 years. I don't remember any family member or friends ever orderin it. The little fluffy, crispy-edged omelet was stuffed with fresh bean sprouts, mushrooms, snow pea pods, green peas, carrots, and onions with luscious gravy. I'm not much of a gravy person, but this worked depie my reservations. It came with a side of veggie fried rice which was a perfect side. My food arrived in about 20 mins and cost was only $25 for a very generous amount of food. The crab rangoons were the best I've had in the area and the spring rolls were perfectly crunchy. The crab rangoon was overcooked, tasted old and the Beef LoMein lacked beef and was filled with so many vegetables I could hardly find the noodles. The Pad Thai was dry and most everything was overcooked and/or dry. When I called to request no vegetables in my LoMein, I was told it would cost me more as they would have to make up a fresh batch! Ordered chicken fingers, beef lo-Mein and fried dumplings. 1st....food was TERRIBLE! 2. 2nd...it made me sick and I have been sick all day today. 3rd....they ARE NOT abiding by the CDC recommendations of 6ft apart! There were 5 people at the same time in close proximity of each other under their awning. They are also taking your credit card in your presence instead of over the phone and coming right up in your face to have you sign receipt! Worse part...one of those people was a healthcare worker from an elderly care center. She had no mask and walked right in front of me, walked into the restaurant, back out, stood by me before they brought her food out. I this restaurant! I grew up in Brunswick and we are here often. I moved away with my family to Hawaii and now California. Oriental is STILL my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant!!! 17A and CP6 are favorites! The chicken wings are awesome, the boneless ribs and sauce are a MUST and the beef teriyaki is my favorite!!! You can eat in or get it to go. Either way it is good. There is something for everyone in the menu, the portions are great and the price is FANTASTIC! So many places over charge for lackluster food and small portions - that is NOT the case here. You get delicious, flavorful portions of food for a GREAT price!!! I always order at least once or twice while I'm home visiting. My parents still order from here regularly. It's even worth driving a distance for! read more

In honor of my 26th birthday, and for my 200th review, I'm going back to the East Coast... Well, in my mind. In a town like Brunswick, choices for ethnic cuisine were pretty limited. Some coworkers of mine suggested this place for Asian food. It wasn't a Chinese restaurant, or a buffet, which is why I liked it so much. They served Japanese, Korean and Thai food. This was the first place I ever experienced the Drunken Noodle. One of the best "Thai" dishes I have ever had. This is also the place that I tried Thai Iced Tea for the first time. I have a lot of memories from my time in Maine, and coming here for great Thai is one of them. I can only hope that someday I will have the opportunity to go back... read more

A decent place for Chinese and Filipino food. There's a variety of pansits available and the fried rice is made fresh. But I'm docking it 2 stars for one reason: trying to call for delivery. I work 2nd shift in an office building. I'm the "food dude", so the phoning in for lunch orders falls on me. There's a LOT of noise near the phone at this restaurant. Last night, I had to try 3 times to get the poor woman to hear me. I can't shout the order in (because I'm in an office environment). I was given the hairy eyeball by a couple of people signalling me to lower my voice. I'm sure other people have had this problem. Could the staff PLEASE either move the phone to a quieter spot in the restaurant, or lower the noise level when someone calls for delivery? If this keeps up, I'll be going to another place on Tuesday nights. read more

I ordered Beef and Peapods, got a call they didn't have peapods, so I changed to broccoli. Picked up the order, brought it back to the hotel, practically inedible. The food is tasty & cooked well. I rarely stay to eat there because I find the atmosphere to be too dreary. I'd much rather pick up my food & eat it in the comfort of my own home.
