I don't understand how this clinic has so many positive reviews because my experience was completely different. The physical therapist rarely paid attention during my sessions. Instead of actively supervising or correcting my form, she spent her time typing on her laptop while I was left to complete exercises on my own. She would bother to look only when I'd ask for guidance. I expected much more hands-on guidance and individualized care. Literally she was typing the entire time, throughout each session, that's why I didn't bother going to my last session. The front desk staff were also rude and unhelpful. The entrance to the building is difficult to access. On one occasion, I struggled several times to open the front door while the receptionist watched me from inside and didn't even bother to get up and help. Both of them were just watching me. If you have an evening appointment, there's no one available to let you in, which can leave you standing outside and potentially make you late for your appointment. It was incredibly frustrating and made me feel like patients weren't a priority. I also asked for printed copies of my home exercises, but I was told their printer wasn't working, so I left without them. To make matters worse, they charged me a $150 cancellation fee even after I explained that I had a legitimate work emergency. There was no flexibility or understanding. I was referred here through Kaiser, so I didn't have especially high expectations, but I certainly didn't expect such a disappointing experience. After several sessions, I haven't experienced any meaningful improvement, and the overall level of care and customer service fell well below what I expected. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic. You're much better off typing your symptoms in ChatGPT and using the AI recommended exercises. No waste of time or money. read more

I was referred to Origin Physical Therapy for pelvic floor therapy and wasn't sure what to expect at first. I was able to book my appointment online, which was super convenient. They have you fill out a form and upload your prescription (unless your doctor has already sent it over--then you just let them know). The entire process was very smooth. During the first session, your PT performs an evaluation, creates a plan of action, and continues to adjust it as your sessions go on. I was lucky enough to work with Jada. She is truly the kindest, most patient, and most knowledgeable PT. She takes her time to listen to your concerns, consistently updates your care plan to help you reach your goals, and always makes sure you feel comfortable. I've been going to Origin for three years now, and my experience has been nothing short of amazing. One thing I really appreciate about Origin is that they specialize in women's care. As a woman, that alone makes the environment feel incredibly comfortable and safe. They do tend to book up quickly--that's the only downside. However, you can always add yourself to the waitlist. My suggestion is to book your appointments in advance to secure the times that work best for you. Parking can be hit or miss since they don't have their own lot--it's all street parking. Most of the time, I'm able to find metered parking out front, but it's good to plan a few extra minutes just in case. read more

My wife went here while pregnant and the "physical therapist" was a joke -- I don't know if she was actually a PT or someone "in training" but she was tentative, nervous and clearly had never done this before. After pregnancy, my wife went again and was prescribed exercises that rendered her unable to walk. We went to a new PT (someone who is about THE WORK not the marketing) that the prescribed exercises were not suitable for my wife's pain level. We were told by the PT that Origin is essentially a gimmick marketing scheme catering to women who are pregnant, but it supplies no actual value and has untrained staff. Total waste. I rarely leave negative reviews, and I don't take doing so lightly, but my experience here over several months (20+ sessions) was disappointing enough that I feel it's important to share. I went to this clinic for post partum pelvic floor physical therapy. The therapists were generally fine, unfortunately, the administrative side of this clinic was a constant source of frustration. To start with, the concept of an annual "platform" fee is honestly questionable for a healthcare clinic -- this is a medical practice, not a tech company. Online scheduling or benefits verification that are covered by this fee seems basic enough in 2026 to not be invoiced. On top of that, I was charged this annual fee twice within the same year and had to figure out / prove myself that it had already been paid. Their cancellation policy is extremely rigid ($150 charged with no flexibility or first-time courtesy), which is especially frustrating in Los Angeles where traffic is unpredictable. After dozens of appointments always on time, I was late once by 21 minutes (after calling ahead to inform them of course), while their stated tolerance is 20 minutes, and the reception / PT was not accommodating at all -- it felt more focused on billing than on patient care. Finally, on several occasions I was contacted and told my insurance was no longer valid and that I would need to pay out of pocket, despite having provided the correct insurance long ago. This created repeated stress, wasted time, and highlighted poor administrative organization. For these reasons, I won't be returning and will be seeking care elsewhere. read more

I am surprised by the good reviews here. I felt like my therapy here was very cookie cutter and not tailored much to me at all. Not surprisingly, I did not really have good results from it. To cap it all off, the front desk receptionists were shockingly rude in almost every interaction that I had with them. I just concluded my PT care at Origin and wanted to share what an overwhelmingly positive experience I had there. Arianne is a fantastic physical therapist who made me feel safe, comfortable, and supported every step of the way. I'm happy to report that the symptoms I was experiencing when I first started have cleared up and I feel more grounded and connected to myself than I did before I started. In other words - the positive effects of this work were not just physical, but emotional and psychological too, which is so meaningful. I was wary about beginning pelvic floor PT after seeing stories in the news about women being abused and taken advantage of while in vulnerable medical situations, and just generally feeling discomfort and shame around my symptoms. But Origin, and Arianne specifically, offered gentle, trauma-informed care that normalized my experience, pushed against the stigma around talking about pelvic issues, and helped ease me into this very sensitive work. I would not recommend this office due to poor communication and lack of transparency with insurance requirements. I submitted my insurance information a full week in advance through their online portal and was never informed that additional documentation, such as a referral or prior authorization, was required. No one contacted me ahead of time to let me know. I only found out after my appointment--once I had already left--that the visit would not be covered. This put me in an extremely frustrating and unfair position, as I would have gladly taken steps to get the necessary paperwork if I had been told. Patients deserve clear information and proper notice when it comes to insurance and coverage. Instead, I was left to deal with an unexpected bill for something I thought was covered. Rachel is amazing. I've worked with Origin due to an accident for over a year. Although I have the option to do PT on lien, I go to Origin and pay out of pocket, because PTs Rachel is truly a professional who cares about her patients. She's also highly knowledgeable. She left a few months so and I asked her if I could see "the blonde lady with short hair" because every time I had seen Rachel she was full of smiles and made sure ti be welcoming - although I was not her patient. I can't begin to tell you how lucky I feel to have found Origin PT! 2 years ago, I found out I had a genetic mutation which gave me a 50% chance of getting breast cancer. Coupled with my family history, it was a no brainier for me to get a preventative double mastectomy. I had a horrible experience with my surgeries, having suffered intra operative burns on my breasts, tools dropped on me and just generally poor care from my original surgical team. Needless to say, I was super traumatized and not feeling the medical world AT ALL. After my mastectomy surgery, I was having a lot of pain and difficulty with mobility. I asked my surgeon if I could start PT and they referred me to a hospital style clinic that had a 2 month wait list. I can't even imagine what the therapy would've been like there. I asked my GYN if he could refer me to a female based PT place and without hesitation, he said go to Origin PT! After my first call, I already knew I was in good hands. They were pretty booked, but made room for me to be evaluated in the Brentwood location the next day so I could get on the schedule in Weho as soon as possible. They took my insurance and were so on top of communicating with me about the specific prescription I needed and were very thorough. It was a breath of fresh air coming from the horrible office I dealt with during my surgical experience. I first met with Johanna, who I immediately clicked with. She fully understood what my body needed and we were able to drastically increase my mobility in preparation for my upcoming exchange surgery, which is when they replace your spacers with implants. After suffering another injury during that surgery, she encouraged me to switch surgeons and even helped me find the surgeon I ended up getting my reconstruction done with and I couldn't be happier with the results. She truly went above and beyond and offered support in a way that I always wished for, but just hadn't seen at the big hospital medical offices I was going to. She offered support to me in so many more ways that go beyond PT and I can't begin to thank her enough. Her hands are insane too! She has an understanding of the human body that is rare to find and I always leave my sessions with her feeling way better! Through her, I met Jada, and Morgan who were her students that I was cool with having learn in my sessions. They are now Dr.'s and were hired there. Jada's strengths are mobility exercises and she really knows what types will get your mobility going. Morgan has hands of gold and is the cupping queen. I've seen tremendous progress in my scar healing and mobility through sessions with her. When Johanna left to have a baby, I met Anthea who is amazing as well! Her chill energy is so calming and she also has hands that get in there!! Plus they're all dolls. Like, I want to hang out with them and braid each others hair. They are all so unique and special to me in different ways and I can't believe this isn't a review for my best friend but my PT place!!!! Haha Oh, and the front desk girls are bomb as well. Shoutout to Natasha, Kim, Flor and Dana, who always greet me with a big smile and set the tone for the experience I'm about to have. I can't say enough good things. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of responsiveness around billing issues at Origin. I was told in September that I was approved to begin treatment and that I would be covered. In October, they told me that I needed to get another RX for treatment. I chose not to continue treatment with them. In January, I received a massive bill. When I called about it, they told me that I had not actually had coverage after all. I didn't understand how this is possible since I have an email from them confirming that I did in fact have coverage. It took multiple calls and emails just to get a response. They said that I need to deal with my Insurance. I reached out to my insurance (Anthem Blue Cross) and Anthem said it was not a problem: Origin just needed to submit additional days for physical therapy for the days that were are not covered. This would been a request for retroactive prior authorization. Anthem said it wasn't a problem. I cannot get a response from Origin. I have called multiple times and sent three emails and have not received a response post my call with Anthem. To everyone else who says the front desk is unresponsive: true! They say that I can only speak to billing and billing doesn't have a phone. The front desk tells you to email info@theoriginway.com and "info" does not respond in a timely manner or at all. This is not a way to run a business. I concur with all the other reviews here that say that the business side of Origin is a mess; go to Cedars Sinai and deal with a real person. I sure would love to hear from an owner or someone in a position of authority so that this issue can be resolved. I will update if this happens. read more

I appreciate the thought that was put into the little details like having a changing table in the restroom to eco friendly tampons and pads to so many informational pamphlets and products that are spread throughout the office. I had foot surgery this May and experienced some really awful nerve complications. To make matters worse, I had a hard time finding any physical therapy that was in-network and near to home. When I found Origin, which was in-network for me, I wasn't sure if they would take me as a patient since I needed help with my foot which isn't their usual specialty. But they said they definitely could help me and I ended up being paired with Anthea Pitysingh. Anthea was so wonderful and attentive. My foot and nerve problems were pretty complex and she came up with a great regimen to help rehab my foot, leg, core, and more. My physical therapist was fine. My issue is with the front office staff. They have been extremely rude every time I come in. They never informed me about the fact that there was no parking or that their entrance was located in the back. The first time I came I had to circle the block a few times to find a spot that was .5 miles away. Then, as I was walking through the alley trying to get in after walking all the way to the front to see a sign that said entry was in the back, there was a homeless man masturbating. I told the front desk staff about this and was dismissed and shrugged off. Ever since then, the front office has been extremely rude, not even acknowledging me when I walk in. The last straw was today at the end of my session when I wanted to ask how many sessions I had left. One was dialing out and told me to hold on. Then the other one started talking and I thought she was talking to me so I responded. She then pointed her finger up to tell me to shush as she was on the phone. At this point I just walked out. I called and spoke to the manager Rachel who was extremely unapologetic, cynical and very passive aggressive, making statements like "I'm sorry you feel that way." She made excuses for her staff and claimed she listened to the phone calls that both were making and didn't have an issue. She is for sure lying bc I was on hold for about a minute waiting to get transferred before she picked up. No way they could have gotten her, explained the situation and had her listen to the phone calls in that span of time. She also said the one girl who shushed me actually had her hand up to tell me to hold on, not shush me. Lol. My experience is on par with every one else's who had issues with the front office staff. As a new mother, when you have to leave your precious baby, find childcare while you're gone and brave LA traffic, you want to go and spend money somewhere you feel wanted and treated kindly. This is not the place and I will be sure to let my referring gyno and my new mom friends, including a large mommy and me group I am a part of, know to steer clear of this place. In response to Allison, thanks for yet another passive aggressive response to my concerns. Glad all of Yelp can see the petty behavior of this establishment which is mirrored by their front desk. I just checked my emails again and there was no email sent to me with parking instructions. In fact, the link to set up my online profile wasn't sent to me until just before my appointment after I asked for it. Even there, there was no message regarding parking. Also, your staff was not "finishing up" phone calls. The one girl literally picked up the phone and started dialing out as I was talking. You also fail to mention the several other times your staff was rude to me, which apparently is a common theme in your Yelp reviews. Also, I didn't mention it before but I was overcharged my copay. Just saw my EOBs and I was overcharged. I'll be filing a complaint with my insurance against Origin as well. Thanks for confirming that I made a good decision not to continue care at your establishment and to seek care at UCLA, where they behave professionally and not with a snotty attitude like the one that appears to have permeated all of your employees from the top down. I established care here for hip/buttock pain related to pregnancy. Since the pain has improved I continue working with them to create a pregnancy appropriate exercise/strengthening routine and look forward to more labor/delivery specific sessions when the time comes. I have thus far worked with 2 therapists and they are both great (Mariam and Jada). The facility is clean and welcoming. I really recommend establishing care with them during pregnancy as I have found the therapists to be an excellent resource. I am lucky in that my health insurance pays for the service, so with only a small co-pay this is a total no-brainer. read more

My OBGYN recommended me to do my pelvic floor PT at Origin given that I was carrying a heavy baby and had had hip injuries in the past. Hence, pelvic and hip health was of outmost importance. I was lucky to be seen by Dr. Mariam Taha. Dr.Taha has excellent bedside manners and she is also a great teacher, as I have benefited greatly from the breathing and strengthening exercises she has imparted on me. Most recently I returned to see Dr. Taha for postpartum care. I am hoping to see good results soon. read more

After leaving Origin because of the lack of professionalism and bully-like behavior from the front desk staff and the clinic director Rachel (which I can see from recent reviews is still continuing), I have now worked with pelvic floor PTs at other clinics. I'm editing my review because I didn't realize how HORRIBLE my PT at Origin was, as it was my only experience with pelvic floor PT at the time. After having experienced other pelvic floor PTs, I'm shocked at the (lack of) care I received at Origin. My PT at Origin didn't treat me like an individual patient with my own unique needs and problems. Instead, I was treated like a textbook case, which I am not. I suffer from a connective tissue disorder, which I repeatedly told my PT about, that makes my plan of care different than most. The only thing my PT at Origin did with me, I kid you not, is have me stretch in happy baby and figure 4. After having experienced other pelvic floor PTs, I know I completely wasted 8 months at Origin receiving subpar care. My other pelvic floor PTs have made connections between my pelvic floor and other parts of my body, which I begged my PT at Origin to consider. My other PTs have talked to my therapist and doctor, which I asked my PT at Origin to do multiple times so I could receive holistic care, and she didn't until the very last moment. My other PTs actually worked on other areas of my body connected to my pelvic floor and released muscle tension, which my PT at Origin never did. My other PTs have treated me like an individual patient, with my own unique needs, not as a textbook case that just needs to do two stretches. I'm adding to my review because I don't want people to think you can get past the lack of professionalism and cruelty of the front desk staff and clinic director and see a decent PT. The PT I worked with here was, quite frankly, bad at her job. I said it in my previous review and I will say it again: if you are coming here because your insurance covers it, go to Cedars, UCLA, or USC. If you are paying out of pocket ABSOLUTELY do not come here. read more

Dr. Sabrina is the absolute best! I found this place shortly after delivering my first baby and needed so much help with my pelvic floor and pregnancy complications with a numb leg. Having been an athletic person pre pregnancy and an ongoing marathon runner, I was devastated. She has helped me out SO MUCH. Dr Sabrina is caring and very knowledgeable especially when it comes to postpartum women with an active lifestyle.
