The nail salon in Elgin is about 1 minute away from my house and Namaa's place is 30 minutes away but I would literally follow her to the end of the world, that's how great her work is. Okay so I read some of these reviews and I won't lie some of them are kind of accurate and some aren't. They're under new management so some of the comments about rude employees aren't super relevant anymore- there's 2 employees ( kim & nam ) they do a great job at working fast and doing a good jobs. While there's only 2 of them at times it gets a little busy but they're nice. The prices are okayish but they're cheaper than other places for sure. I payed 105 in total for my feet and acrylic set - pretty pricey but also cheaper than other places. it's kind of crowded in the place due to it being small and with a lot of nail colors. They're nice- they give you a friendly conversation & complimentary water + candy. While they did mess up my skin on 2 nails And it's a little painful- i'm still satisfied with the service. read more

I use to come here years ago when I worked out in Downers Grove. Since I was out this way I stopped in for a pedicure. It was already two ladies ahead of me getting serviced. While I was waiting the nice gentleman gave me a bottle of water. I was sitting there for a minute. I was getting my purse to get up and leave. The woman noticed and started running my water for my pedi. Once I sat in that chair with the massager it was heaven sent. The massager chair was the best part of my visit. Clean, supreme nail machines! I've been to upscale to average and low budget salons and this is my go to place to spoil my on the go piggies and tired review writing lady fingers. The ladies here know me by name and always have a smile welcoming me. Besides your typical, "Pick a color," greeting. Star #1 for friendly customer service. Nestled into a strip mall, their pricing is average. They have a Tues.-Thurs. mani-pedi special for $28 and also have a vast selection of no chip colors. Star #2 goes to price and options. Although a simple modern update would be nicer, they keep the facility clean and organized. There are antibacterial machines they place their nail tools and towels in. Their pedi spas have decent massage settings and a TV in the background playing random shows. Star #3 goes to facility organization. They always seem to give me a little extra care, compared to other salons in this range. During my pedi's they add on honey scrub and a few minutes extra for a foot massage. For my manis, they give a mini hand massage finished with a nice warm towel wrap before polish. Star #4 goes for that extra mile. Location, location, location...I am not rating this 5 stars simply due to location and ambiance. As mentioned, this is my "on the go," place for nails. This salon is located on a busy intersection right off of Roosevelt road and Main St., in Lombard, IL. There typically is ample parking but not a getaway from the hustle and bustle. The salon has been in business over 18 years, so that goes to say for the quality and customer service. My 5th star goes to a spa on the beach where I can get my nails done in an open fresh air cabana. They definitely put on the glitz here for you, but it's not the Ritz. The ladies seemed nice and the price is definitely right. I had a mani pedi today, which is $28 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The reason I'll have to reconsider coming back is because the paint job was kind of amateur (my sister does a better job, but to be fair, she's pretty good at doing nails). Near my cuticles, my nail tech did a really rough and uneven job. The nail polish also dried a bit streaky, but if you don't look closely, I suppose it looks ok. My main gripe is with the way she pushed back my cuticles... It was quite painful, which is not my experience from past manicures from other salons. A friend who went through beauty school informed me it shouldn't hurt or else it means they're pushing too hard which can sometimes lead to a bacterial infection. Writing this as my nails dry! (Not recommended lol) Came here today for a mani/pedi (gotta clean up those winter hidden toes!) & they weren't busy so I had them done at the same time. Prices are very reasonable - $30 for the mani/pedi, but is $28 if you come Monday thru Wednesday (according to the sign outside). Although beware because they're closed on Mondays lol. The norm pedi is $20 and a mani is $12. They offer a bunch of different services/packages as well like: 30 min foot massage & pedicure for $48; pedicure and honey gel or paraffin for $24; etc. They also have a good variety of polish colors (no-chip included) between Essie, OPI, Orly, China Glaze & other brands I'm not familiar with. I have gotten no chips quite a bit in my lifetime. My usual place was booked up and I needed to get my nails done for my wedding. I felt very rushed and they kept saying no to any design I asked for and offering nail techniques that were not even close to what I wanted. I showed them a design and they said they could do it. Which they did not do very well. The partial glitter on my left index finger doesn't match the one on the right index finger. Granted I know this is all by hand but they are not even going in the same direction. My no chip actually started chipping less than a week since I got it done. I have been coming to this Nail Salon for years since I lived near by. My sister purchased a $100 gift certificate for me but the manager/owner only gave me 3 months to use it. I asked her if she could extend it a bit for me since some of my work requires me to fly out of town and she responded, "No, sorry that she had no control over it". I was surprised since it is illegal in the state of Illinois to expire paid gift certificates. What she did not realize is that I work as a Chinese Interpreter for American Airlines and I understood everything she was saying about me and others as well. I went in with my mom and mother-in-law to get manicures. I also got my eyebrows waxed and they got pedicures. I was happy that the woman who waxed my eyebrows was able to follow my directions and not make them too thin. Went in. Had to wait with 2 other nail techs available. I asked if the woman who did my nails before could do them the owner said no. So now instead of me and my mom going at the same time i had to go first. She began on my nails and burned me twice. After the second time she threw her tools down aggressively. I asked her for coffin shape and she did them square. When I asked her to make them more coffin shape she said no they will break, which has never been a problem. I thought maybe she just didnt understand what I was saying so I asked "do you understand what I mean" & she said no I must not speak English (in clear english) I said if this is a problem I can go somewhere else and she said go. So now I have HALF FINISHED NAILS AND HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I said all i wanted to do was spend my money here and she scuffed at me so i left. NEVER COME HERE. There was 3 other woman in just staring at me and this woman after she made me feel like I was giving her to hard of a time when all I get is black color and a common shape. I am so happy I finally found a place I can leave an uber-positive review for! I've been here once before during the summer on my lunch break and considering how packed they were I was impressed by the service, quality of the pedicure and reasonable amount of time it took them to perform my services. Today, however, they really knocked my socks off. (Get it, pedicure?) Anyway, there were literally no customers there perhaps because of the snow but I got a really awesome and fast pedicure despite the shape my winter feet are in and as my toes were drying the nail tech gave me a really amazing back, neck and head massage for free. Don't EVER get a wax here. I went in for a basic bikini wax and left with huge bruise/hickey looking marks. They did not seem to know what they were doing and missed a bunch of spots. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. They STEAL from their loyal customers... my sister received a $30 gift card from a customer who goes religiously for Christmas 2017. We just tried to redeem the gift card and they said it was given out in May of 2017 and has already expired (called the giver and confirmed it was purchased in December). They refused to work with us when in the salon and now after calling the gifter and confirming when it was purchased... they hung up on us and refuse to answer the phone now. This is not how a business should be run and the owner should not let their employees treat customers this way. This was our first and last time we will ever step foot in this business again. The owner at this place is EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. Me and my two friends came here to get acrylics done and she did the worst job in the world. My nails looked like fat bubbles. The job was not neat at all. And when I told her my French manicure doesn't look good and I'm not satisfied with it she gave me the dirtiest look in the world. I absolutely adore this place. I have been here twice this week, first for a manicure, and tonight I got a pedicure and foot massage. I have been to many other nail salons, but this place is simply the best. It's family owned, and the girls working here are so sweet and they do a GOOD job. No sloppy smudges, they're very gentle with the cuticles and everything is so clean and neat. Also, the prices are shockingly low. This is really the place to go. I was in this place about a year ago because I moved into the area and thought I would give it a try. They seemed very unorganized and the place is very dark but my no chip looked good as well as lasted 3 weeks. I still have not found one to replace my old one so I thought I would give them a try again. I arrived and they acknowledged me as soon as I came in. They had me pick out color and was in a chair in a couple minutes. The girl wrapped my fingers to remove the previous no chip paint....then I waited 25 minutes for them to start my manicure. A different girl came and took out 80% of the polish wrapped my fingers again....then I waited another 25 minutes. In the mean time a regular with no appointment comes in and they start working on her within 5 minutes of her arrival. After 55 minutes of waiting I finally left. read more

Just an excellent experience, the best I have had in the area. The place is clean, the technician I had showed outstanding attention to detail, and the results were perfect. I have been to this nail salon quite a few times and their service has always been ok but it depends on who you get. However, my last visit was the last straw and I will not be back! The tech (who I don't think is licensed) made the water for my pedicure too cold, then just turned on all hot water - she kept walking around and never stayed to check the temperature. She then dropped the tools on the floor and when time to use them, she thought I was not going to say anything. I had to tell her that she needed to get clean tools because those fell on the floor and were dirty. She tried to act like she did not understand me until I got louder. They also will reuse the pedicure slippers and toe separators if you don't speak up! The tech working on my husband's feet was acting like she could not speak English when he asked her to file down a little corn. The manager ended up filing it. I will never come to this business again. The service was just so rude and horrendous. The technician doing my no chip manicure was absolutely terrible. I was probably her first no chip client EVER. She made my cuticle bleed, took an hour and twenty minutes to remove my previous no chip color, file and cut my finger nails, and when I left I still had no color on my nails. I chose one of a very few color options of no chip and when she put it on my fingers it was the wrong color. Then it literally took her five minutes to paint my pinky nail. I finally said I had to go back to work, they quickly and painfully removed the polish they did put on. Then she had the audacity to make me pay the $12 for a manicure. No one else in the salon could believe that she charged me. I really, really wish I would have gotten her name. I would totally share it with the yelp community. She was the rudest woman.
