Greg is an amazing barber and I want to take the time to thank him. Right before Covid he brought me into the shop and helped me build my barbering skill. I've seen reviews that say Greg doesn't pay attention to detail and is racist but that couldn't further from the truth. I am a colored person and Greg brought me in with open arms. He might be rough around the edges but when I couldn't rub two Pennies together Greg bought me food and even gave me some money out of his own pocket. He even taught me how to understand and appreciate Hockey and International Football. These things he didn't need to do. I am not easy to teach because I have learning issues so I am sure I got in his nerves but I practiced what he taught me and I am doing well now as a barber. Greg is quick with his cuts because he knows what he's doing. His barbershop is a staple in the community and all of his clients stand by him. If I could I would definitely go back and work with Greg. His shop is a great place to get a cut and the ambiance is perfect. Greg treats everyone equal, and he gives amazing customer service. Something about these old school barbershops just makes you feel welcome and relaxed, no drama, just there for a chill time. Wanted to give my two cents about Greg and his barbershop. I am actually shocked that it only has 4 stars currently. Greg is the most efficient barber I know, and his shop is immaculately clean, nicely furnished, but without that douchey wall street vibe that no one needs. Feels like a mix between a neighborhood shop and a high-end hair salon with a stellar barber that even does hot towel shaves. Particularly, I wanted to respond to Jameak's review below. Dude, part of barbershop culture is the talk and I hope it never goes away. People talk and discuss things. You got offended someone called Obama Care garbage (which time proved it was) and called them an idiot... Greg got offended you called someone an idiot in his shop. Which, btw, makes YOU an angry and bigoted idiot. How does it feel? Not so great, right? People are entitled to their opinion without your name-calling. Went there for my first time, and I am not a fan. Greg cut my hair. He was super fast, but also a bit careless and didn't pay much attention to detail. He did not properly fade the sides. He used a couple different blades but then never blended them in. There are also parts that are uneven, where some hairs are longer than others because he didn't thoroughly go through my entire sides with the blades. He also left a lot of longer hairs near the bottom of my sides, near the ears. I like that he as fast (10 minute haircut) but he was a bit reckless in my opinion. I don't think this is a matter of needing to go several times so he's used to my hair. Overall Greg (i) doesn't pay enough attention to quality and instead chooses speed, and (ii) doesn't have the necessary skill since he barely faded in the different blades so I now have an uneven fade. One side of my is also higher and uneven compared to my other side. I would not go back. read more

The positive reviews of this place confuse me. I've had the owner cut my hair and it was mediocre at best which is pretty bad considering I want a simple crew cut. Price is fine but quality is not. Came here for my first cut after moving from Chicago, and this place did not disappoint. Corey cut my hair and it was perfect. I've gotten a lot of compliments on my hair since then. I originally got my hair cut for free by Greg as a hair model for a product launch and kept coming back after. He's really quick and efficient but checks in to make sure he's giving you what you want. He's very precise and detailed but manages to not take forever. I'm sure his trainees and the other guys are great, but I don't usually like to like to take chances with my hair and Greg does such a great job so I always wait till he can do my cut. Not a fan. I have gone to this place a few times giving them a second chance and both times the haircut was absolutely terrible. No precision in making the hair even. A good barber knows how the hair grows and will make sure when it starts to grow out you don't look like a moron. This place doesn't know how to do that. My hair progressively looked worse as it grew out because the hair wasn't cut to the way it grows and was completely uneven. I wish they were better at their job because I live not too far. Not going back. They were friendly but friendly isn't going to cut it when your skills are subpar and you butcher my hair. read more
