I came in around 4:30PM without an appointment and the shop was empty except for one barber who I assume is the owner of the shop as he is on the cover photo for the business. I asked him if he would take a walk in right now and he said yes. I asked him if he had any experience with cutting Asian male hair because Asian hair is notoriously course and straight. I've gotten bad haircuts from barbers with inexperience with Asian hair, so I wanted to be sure. The barber answered yes, but with a shrugged expression so I replied, "Are you sure, because - ". Before I could explain that I had whorl in a weird spot and that I had irregularly thick hair, he snapped "if you don't trust me, you can get the f out of my shop and go to another barber". I replied "are you serious? I just asked you a question because -". And again before I could explain my hair situation, he says "I don't want to cut your hair, I have appointments, get the f out of my shop" (the shop was completely empty and he had already said he is taking walk-ins at that moment). I reply "okay, I'm going to leave a review of my experience here". The barber immediately snaps "why? You p*ssy!" and then proceeds to aggressively get in my face with more vulgar language. I snap back at him in kind, and we go back and forth a bit. He tells me to call the cops, but that wasn't worth my time so I leave. I can't speak to his hair cutting abilities as I didn't get a haircut from him, but as a business owner he is the worst I have encountered. Very despicable human being. I hope he responds to this review as I would like to see him try and defend his actions. AVOID THIS BARBERSHOP!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! read more

But to be honest, I get the same quality cut from Premium Barbershops for around $20. So this was a one-time experience and I'll be going back to Premium, which also has a frequent cut card where after 10 cuts you get a free cut. read more

I never write reviews, but I had to given how disappointed and confused I was with my experience. I walked in without an appointment around 12:45 hoping to get a high fade w/ a trim on top and a beard trim. Both barbers were busy with customers, but there was no one else in line, so I only had a short wait until got in a chair w/ Joe. Fast forward to about half way into my haircut, everything was going fine until two customers came in who I'm assuming both had appointments because of what happened next. Once he finished the haircut he grabbed the mirror and began to show me the final product at which point I asked if he could trim my beard. Joe said "I can't, I have customers w/ appointments waiting", to which I replied "so you can't trim my beard?" I was so confused, I'm already in his chair and a beard trim would be another 10 minutes max. Joe said no he "didn't have time" because he has to "make money". Joe, my haircut isn't free and a beard trim would be been another $20 for you, what are you talking about? I didn't want to argue with him about it, but was pretty ticked off at that point and he could tell. He then offered to trim my beard after the next customer in "10 minutes", which was just a comical thing to say. I declined and left. Given the reviews, I'm sure this place is great 9/10, which is what I was hoping for when I decided to go. I absolutely understand customers w/ appointments take precedent, but if you take walk-ins then every customer should be treated the same once they're in your chair. If that's not the case, then let me know and I'll go somewhere else, so I don't get half a haircut. read more

I've enjoyed going into this barber shop. The haircuts have been on point with either what I've asked for or well placed suggestions to get the style I'm looking for. I use to always get a haircut from the Asian hair salon downstairs of my home but they recently closed down. I was checking out some in the area when I came across this shop. I had always passed by it on the way to the gym but never really checked it out. I went in today to get a cut. Two people were already getting cuts so I waited about 10 min before one finished and it was my turn. The person who cut my hair, Joe, is fantastic! Friendly guy, greeted me as soon as I walked in. I told him I typically get a comb over cut. In the past, I felt like even though I got the same cut from my previous barber, Joe's just seem better. More clean. The cut was around 15-17 minutes. There were TV's in front of the mirrors in case you didn't want to just watch him cut your hair. This will be my new shop to get my cuts from now. Great pricing and great people! read more

I gotta say, Next Level totally exceeded my expectations. I'm one of those types who's been paying for $80 haircuts without batting a lash. I suppose it's the "you get what you pay for" mentality of paying more for something of quality. Especially something as important as your appearance. But in between meetings and unsure of when I'd be able to see my usual stylist before the holidays, I took a chance on Next Level. I'm very glad I did. Ariel was the barber who took the reigns. I told him what I wanted, and in breakneck speed he was off to the races. At this point I was fully committed no matter the outcome. I've been cutting my own hair for the last 20 years so I was very hesitant to trust some random barbershop while traveling, however I'm in town on business and short on time so I took a gamble and stopped in. Really glad I did. I walked in, met Joe and he had me in and out in 15 min with the best haircut I've probably ever had. They even did the hot towel and straight razor trim. Although there was a bit of language barrier, I got exactly what I wanted. After a methodically session with the buzzer and clippers, he used warm shaving cream and a straight razor to touch up around the ears and the back. Then he rubbed down my head with a warm towel. I've been going here for over about a year and Joe has been great at what he does and does so consistently.
