Breakfast with ALL the good vibes! We finally stopped by Original Breakfast House, and I'm so glad we did! We ordered the Loco Moco and the Breakfast Chimichanga, and everything was SO good! 5/5 for us! The Breakfast Chimichanga was probably my favorite -- so savory, flavorful, and delicious! It was packed with all those yummy breakfast flavors and had that perfect hearty, comforting feel. And the Loco Moco was seriously delicious! A juicy burger patty served over rice and topped with a rich, savory gravy and eggs -- basically the ultimate comfort-food breakfast. Every bite was hearty, flavorful, and SO satisfying. We also tried the French toast, and WOW! Sweet, delicious, and the perfect little treat to round everything out. But beyond the food, the vibes here are SO cool! The whole place has such a fun, unique atmosphere, and they even have a bunch of awesome merch that had me wanting to take something home. The customer service was amazing, too! I especially loved seeing the owner walking around from table to table saying hi and checking in with everyone. This breakfast place serves great food at realistic prices and brings it to you with pleasant, hospitable service. My initial thought before arriving was that this place might end up being a bad clone of the Original Pancake House in Scottsdale. I was thrilled to see a menu that is decidedly progressive and interesting that in some ways out-shines the OPH. The brioche cinnamon rolls are absolutely out of this world. If these rolls were the only saving grace, this place would still be a winner in my book. But the omelettes (she had the Popeye sans bacon and onion; I had the Chili Cheese) were perfectly cooked (slightly more-done than other places) and came with sides that included the gluten free banana pancakes and the chocolate chip pancakes. Even the hash-browns were crispier and more thoughtfully prepared than at some other places. Add to all this that they serve the Valley's own Cortez Coffee and genuinely freshly-squeezed OJ, and you have yourself one of the best places in PHX for breakfast. Front of House - Friendly and provided accurate waiting times. Beverages - Coffee was serviceable. Water tasted like it came out of a hose. Food - Toast was a good higher quality bread and the jam was better than average, but toast was cold. Good hash browns and over medium eggs were cooked properly. You could tell that the bacon had been cooked long before we arrived as it was both cold and overly crispy. The waitress was very helpful and nice. She brought beverages quickly, the food came out very fast, and she did check on us multiple times. Overall, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I just think the food fell short. I do not mind waiting an extra 5 minutes for our food to ensure that the bacon is cooked fresh. I debated on 3 stars since there were many positives, but ultimately, if you are a breakfast place, and you are screwing up bacon, it is an unforgivable offense. This place is a total gem! I was on the hunt for a fun new breakfast spot and stumbled across The Original Breakfast House here on Yelp. There was a crowd waiting outside (always a good sign), but the wait was only about 30 minutes--not bad at all. Inside, the vibe is awesome--tons of surf-inspired decor that instantly made me feel like I was on a mini vacation in California. Super laid-back and inviting. The menu is packed with mouthwatering options, and we went with a mix of sweet and savory. Let me just say... everything was ridiculously good. If you are going to take phone in orders days ahead for Mother's Day pickups then you should have an organized system in place. It looks like you took any and all orders for 9:30 pickup and of course you had none of them ready. Instead - being greedy as your owner is - you waited until the person arrived to pickup - paid - and then you started cooking the food. I guess this was the only way you could do this since your company god know why does not take credit cards of all things... I have now been waiting here for 30 monitors for food I ordered 2 days ago. So I have to sit here exposed to all these people in the middle of a pandemic, not a single one of your staff is wearing a mask - none ... I would not be surprised if you spread this virus to hundreds of people today thru your disorganization and poor practices and lack of planning and pure greed. Shame on you. read more

There may be finally a situation to have some excellent breakfast that isn't a series in north Phoenix. I have been right here a few times now and i'll admit that everything I've tried is rather good. But, should you really want to get your cash's valued at, come with a sweet enamel. Their pancakes and french toast are robust. When the menu says you get 2 slices of french toast, it would not mention that they cut the loaf of bread the good distance and you are going to get a literal pound of delightful fried bread goodness. Get some orange juice even as you are at it. A variety of areas declare to have recent squeezed orange juice, but right here you see the squeeze it and that you would be able to fairly taste the change. We love the OG Breakfast! We've been several times before and I will admit that I was disappointed on our last visit; however it was redemption this trip! I had the top quality ingredient which made the food delicious but the bacon #1 crepe was phenomenal! Everything about it was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and served quickly and hot! I can't bear to give less than 5 stars but I will admit our server was not great. She was not personable or extremely attentive. I was surprised she never asked how the meal was especially because she would have gotten rave reviews. I am happy I had the plain pancake to gauge the deliciousness of them. Even though it was hard to make the decision because they have some insanely delicious options.. What is even better is that it came with the omelette I had ordered. Which not to detract from the awesomeness of their pancakes... But their omelettes are amazing as well. They are about three inches thick. I believe they have to add some of their amazing pancake batter to the mix to make their omelettes so thick and fluffy because I think they were standard three egg omelettes. This place was better than expected. I had read about this place and decided to give it a try. I went on busy weekend but the wait was bearable, my server was Kegan which did an amazing job she was attentive, sweet and great in explaining the specials and the side items I was able to get with my amazing Caprese omelette. Ordered - California Benedict : asked for avacado instead of chicken. Did not taste that great. It was creamy and very bland. Finally a neighborhood breakfast that lives up to the hype! We came here based entirely on yelp stars and decided to add our 2 cents...we had a party of 4 on a mid morning Sunday and after waiting 15 minutes we sat down and had huge tasty portions of huevos ranchero, blackberry French toast, scrambles and bacon an eggs. Certainly seemed cooked separately as nothing meshed on the plate. Oh, and a few sad pieces of underripe avocado. This American cuisine was devoid of character and taste.
