It was very busy, so I recognize staff are working hard. However, we had asked a question about the protein shake and she said she'd find out for us. She never did. And then, she dropped the check, said "no rush," but then proceeded to take a plate we were still working on. So clearly, she was rushed. And finally, when we paid with cash, she didn't give us our full change (she must have kept some of what she owed us, not a lot, but still). We assumed she kept that as part of her tip, so we tipped accordingly. Is Breakfast Club a restaurant we enjoy? Yes! And would I come back? Definitely for the Scottsdale location since service is better there. Our first stop in Scottsdale was The Breakfast Club because apparently we enjoy making questionable weekend decisions involving long wait times and brunch crowds fueled entirely by caffeine and optimism. Honestly though, the wait didn't even matter. The weather was perfect, the patio scene was elite, and the people-watching was basically a free reality show with mimosas. By the time we got seated, we were already fully committed to the brunch lifestyle. I kicked things off with a gin fizz with grapefruit juice because if you're not having a breakfast cocktail on vacation, are you even trying? I normally play it safe with pancakes or French toast, but I decided to show personal growth and ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich. Zero regrets. That sandwich deserves its own security detail. Crispy, sweet, spicy -- absolutely disrespectful to every mediocre chicken sandwich I've had before it. My wife went with the French toast and a Bloody Maria because apparently tequila before noon is "vacation wellness." The French toast was fantastic, but let's discuss the true main character of this establishment: the bacon slab. That bacon should honestly come with a warning label and possibly legal representation. Thick, smoky, sweet, crispy edges... it tasted like someone asked, "What if bacon achieved its full potential?" I'm still thinking about it and honestly may need closure. 10/10 experience. Great food, great atmosphere, great drinks, and just enough chaos to remind you that brunch in Scottsdale is basically a competitive sport. WOW! Tried this place this morning and my wife and I enjoyed eating here! I had the jalapeno biscuit with sausage gravy and 3 eggs along with their awesome potatoes with peppers. Food was fine. But BC touts "protein coffee" and lattes but does not have macros on protein or calories in these drinks. Kind of a scummy way to advertise if you don't even know HOW much protein is in your drinks. Or sugar or ingredients. I get you don't have to provide this info but if you're going to advertise something as a "protein" beverage it's implying It has a health connotation and when you don't supply macros on something like this it makes it seem like it's anything but healthy read more

We have been going to this location of the Breakfast Club for many years (right when they opened this location). We've always had a positive experience except for this past time due to the very rude manager working that day. I checked in online for our group (2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant needing a high chair) and arrived at the estimated time the table would be ready. When we got there, the hostess accidently marked us down as our party not yet there (they won't seat you until your entire party has arrived). We waited for 20 minutes and when I asked the hostess about it, she realized what she did and then marked us as there. We were seated within the next 5-10 minutes. When we got to our table, we quickly realized we were seated at a table that did not allow the high chair to be close to the table (This is a problem for an infant who can't touch the table). We asked the manager if we could move to the adjacent table being cleaned (which could accommodate the high chair) and she said no and that it was being saved for a reservation (which had not yet arrived). Without asking any questions, she told us to wait back up front for another table. We waited for another 10-15 minutes and decided to leave. We told the hostess that we were leaving and we explained why. The manager immediately came up to us and told us to stop yelling at her staff (which we did not). When we tried to explain what was happening, she told us to leave and then proceeded to make a very derogatory comment to my wife. I chose to not yell at her for that comment due to my kids being there. Needless to say, this manager has no concept of what "customer service" means. I don't blame the hostess as mistakes happen...but the staff should understand which tables they have can accommodate a high chair. Also, If the manager had taken the time to ask a question to understand the wait we had, she likely would have tried to do something to make it right. We were waiting for 30 minutes with 2 little kids and she prioritized a group that wasn't even there yet? And then instead of trying to make things right with us, she was rude and insulted my wife? I'm appalled that the restaurant we have been frequenting for years would employ someone as rude as this who doesn't understand customer service. read more

Warning to all those counting calories, concerns with glucose, diabetic, regulars at the gym next dopr or just those of us who avoid sugars at all costs. BC's 'keep it light' menu is not that light at all. Probably why they don't publish the calories on the menu like most other places. First thing I do before sitting is always ask what the ingredients are of certain foods like Oatmeal, especially when they are listed as containing honey or brown sugar; as advertised on the menu. The hostess didn't know and said she would go ask, perfect. On return I was told the recipe is just oats and water and everything else can be left off. Great! So I ordered the oats with no honey, as listed My first batch was soaked in honey, no problem mistakes happen and my server apologized Second batch was promptly made and delivered, with no honey. only it seems as well as honey, the oats also contains a hidden ingredient; sugar thar is not listed on the menu, in fact it has so much sugar in the oats, it's like eating gritty sand. Breakfast (Visit was on a weekday in January) - Walked right in and was seated. Ordered drinks along with egg and brunch dishes. Service was nice, food was good as expected. My Monte Cristo was a treat in which I could only handle half - perhaps I was full on their coffee and pieces of my guest's fruit but know that I was satisfied. My guest had benes (can't recall which ones) but her drink complemented the dish. Note: I do feel that brunch places are best enjoyed on a non-holiday weekday without crowds. Seeing as we enjoy the breakfast meal so much, we're constantly on the lookout and following recommendations as well as good Yelp reviews to certain breakfast joints and the Breakfast Club is one. The Club offers a really good, varied and yet not exorbitantly extensive menu. But they seem to focus on distinctiveness, quality and flavors. These guys have great essentials, from Breakfast sandwiches, Benedicts, and Omelets to Biscuits and Gravy, Pork Chops and Eggs, and Southwestern Entrees, Pancakes and Waffles, and Avocado Toast, to the likes of Breakfast Sodas, French Toast, Steak and Eggs, Poutine (yes Poutine), Monte Cristo and much, much more. On this visit we indulged in a regular Mimosa and Mango Mimosa to start us off. For our breakfast my wife went for the scrumptious Bacon Benedict with cottage bacon they say is cured and smoked in-house (tastes like it), tomato, baby arugula, hollandaise and a balsamic reduction - unique of all unique Benedicts ever tried! I went for the more traditional of untraditional, the Steak Benedict with a 7oz New York strip, a plump and tasty mushroom medley with a jalapeño hollandaise sauce that is incredible. Everything we've tried is fresh and amazing. Ensure you're early as they're an incredibly popular place. This Breakfast Club has made it to our top ten go to breakfast restos in the Valley. Decided to order the pancakes and they were okay but not mind blowing as if I had the same thing at an upscale Hotel restaurant. I wasn't a fan of the sweet cream and it would have looked nicer with white whipped cream and a little more lemon zest. Should have ordered the whole hog omelet but wanted to try something different. The food here was actually amazing for Arizona standards. One of the best meals in terms of quality. The sweet potato waffle fries was delicious. The steak was actually great. Eggs were running depending if you like that. The sandwich meats were definitely saltier end but otherwise cooked well. The prices were decent $20ish each but main thing is quality was not bad at all. Main complaint came with their organization. We call ahead and confirmed reservation but when we arrived, they didn't put into the system our reservation so we arrived we had no table. Had to wait a long time then squish together tables and made it be outside to make us fit. Then, it started raining and they refused to give us their umbrella saying another table was using it but that was a table with roof coverage which is so crazy to say when it was drizzling turned downpour they did literally nothing to help or even offer to pack our food up. Why do I not come here more often?? Just met 3 friends for breakfast here and the space is fantastic! Inviting, warm, cozy but not cramped. Waitstaff is so friendly and patient as we mulled over the menu. I got a rooibos tea (came in a French press) and cream and honey on the side and overnight oats. Their overnight oats are delicious. Lightly sweetened with honey, the oats had a wonderful texture because of added chia seeds. Topped with slivered almonds, blueberries and cinnamon. Perfect start to the day if you don't want anything too heavy. I ordered the bowl and had enough left over for another meal later today. Crazy busy on a Sunday at noon! Although we got on their waitlist via their website, we could not be seated until all members of our party were present. That makes sense. However, as we waited a huge group of people showed up and it became super busy. We were then seated at a table that might have been difficult with a stroller and baby and high chair but one of the waitstaff moved our party over a table against the windows which was thoughtful and perfect. 10 stars for him!!! There are a lot of good choices on their menu but I decided on the pina colada pancakes as I treat. They were excellent (but a bit too sweet). I meant to order a side of protein but the waitress had moved on so didn't get to tame the sweetness. Next time I think I would opt for their açaí bowl or bc French toast if I wanted sweet rather than savory. I am not a big fan of eating breakfast out, and I could have ordered from the lunch menu, but nothing looked really enticing on that side. This is not a place for a quiet family celebration or get together. It's super loud in the restaurant, which I found really annoying. Might come back in the winter when I can sit outside, enjoy the weather and have a peaceful breakfast/brunch. read more

Came today for breakfast, arrived at about 9am and were able to be seated for 2 immediately. The host who seated us was very friendly and we had a fun view of the Lifetime Fitness, ha! We ordered fresh orange juice, a cold brew, and a latte. The breakfast cocktail menu looked good but we were in recovery mode :) For breakfast, we chose the bacon Benny and the biscuits and gravy. Both came with seasonal fruit and potatoes O'Brien. My biscuits and gravy were good, however they had a very unnecessary layer of fontina cheese on top of the biscuit, which prevented the gravy from really getting absorbed - subsequently they were a bit dry. My friend's Benedict was good but when they call it a bacon benny, they aren't exaggerating...SOO much bacon! My favorite, hands down, was the potatoes O'Brien.
