After seeing Lydia's on TikTok, my fiancée and I decided to go check it out yesterday (Sunday) morning. Since it's the weekend, we tried to get there early, around 8:30am, to beat the crowds. Luckily, we did. When we arrived, there were plenty of tables open and we were quickly seated. First impressions: The vibes are really nice. The decor is very aesthetic and picturesque. The staff were really nice. Since it was our first time, they guided us through the menu and went over their seasonal items. I ordered a Classic Breakfast and a Banana Walnut Latte. My fiancée ordered the Lydia's Seasonal Scramble and a Vanilla Waffle Cone latte. We shared a stack of the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. We were very impressed with the taste of the food. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were crispy and flavorful. The pancakes were absolutely delicious! Probably some of the best we've had. The lattes were okay. Lydia's Kitchen & Market is a beautiful, cozy place with a charming, homey atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The coffee was excellent -- especially the One Air Latte and the Waffle Cone Latte -- and the food was equally impressive. We loved the lemon ricotta pancakes and the croque monsieur. Service can be a little slow during busy times, but the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which more than makes up for it. The only other thing to note is that parking can be tight, so plan ahead or consider carpooling if you're going with a group. Overall, a great place for coffee, brunch, and a relaxing morning. Cutest little french style cafe. Small space, but the service is quick and we only waited about 20min on a Sunday! Delicious french toast (made with brioche!!) and really great omelette. The scramble was honestly just ok. Nothing wrong with it, but something you could easily make at home with no noticeable difference. Word to mouth from a friend, as it turned out this is my new favorite spot. The food we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. The coffee was strong, as the way should be. Lydia's is a place you might need to make reservations beforehand. I came and all the internal seating was taken but they allowed me to sit at the bar area. I decided to try their French toast and chocolate croissant. What I like about this place's French toast over all other places is that they cook it deliciously soft. Unfortunately, the chocolate croissant sucked. My meal cost me $21.27 (this is after the InKind discount and including the tip). Service was above average and the whole interior design was simple and sleek. I highly suggest waiting for Costco to put their InKind gift cards on sale and buying them since Lydia's Kitchen is part of the InKind lineup; this method gets you a 35% discount on this place and a veritable plethora of others. Lydia's Kitchen is located in Phoenix, next to The Frederick on Missouri. This is a cute and popular breakfast/lunch spot and it had been on my list of places to try! When you enter, there's a small market area with cute kitchen things you can get for yourself, or would be great as gifts. Since this spot is quite busy, I would highly recommend getting a reservation. If you need to wait a bit, you can browse their market, hang out outside in their waiting area, or check out some of the other businesses in the same plaza! I got a banana latte and the fried chicken sandwich. I thought it would be difficult to go wrong with a fried chicken sandwich, but the chicken itself under the breading was a bit...hard and almost crunchy? Not really what I expected nor what I wanted from fried chicken. It was also super loud inside - it was hard to hear the other people at the table even though we were right next to each other. It seemed like the design of the restaurant didn't have much to help absorb the sounds. For a weekend, expect a hefty wait time. The parking lot is limited due to heavy weekend popularity so come early or come prepared to park in an adjacent parking lot and walk over. The service staff is very kind and welcoming, with a limited menu of options so I suggest reviewing the menu prior to arrival. The space itself is gorgeous - however, the indoor space can be very loud... to the point that it is unbearable due to loud large groups of guests. On nice weather days with the patio doors open this doesn't seem to be an issue, but with the weather heating up and doors closed - sound bounces and carries within the main dining space. read more

I've been to Lydia's twice and have had delicious food and drinks both times. NOTE: If you don't want a long wait on a Saturday or Sunday book a reservation in advance. Our wait time was an hour. Place is cute, light and bright and side. It can be very loud so if you'd like something a little more quiet pick patio seating. We had ouefs de cocotte, chicken tenders, smash burger, and ROSEMARY fries. All were delicious. Ouefs de cocotte is rich and a bit salty but overall good. The drinks we had were Hugo spritz, Blue spritz and Spritz Sunday bloom. All super refreshing and went down a bit too easily so be forewarned! Service was good and the server was informative on the menu and drinks. He was also great at providing suggestions. We will be back. read more

I was honestly super underwhelmed with this place. I got the seasonal scramble. It was a pretty basic omelette with veggies, nothing crazy and lacking a little salt. My friend got the classic breakfast, she got her eggs scrambled and forgot to ask them well done and ended up getting scrambled eggs that were still a little wet. The staff was super nice all together and there was no issues when we asked for her to get her eggs well done. They brought out the well done eggs super quick. I also got a banana bread latte and it really didn't taste like banana bread at all. The restaurant itself is very cute and staff is really nice, but food was lackluster. read more

Came in for their one year anniversary... and so glad we did!! They are not normally open for dinner but tonight they were and yay! Got the steak and eggs, mimosas, BLT and a spritzer, bill was $82 for 3 people. Not bad! Our server (Matt) was a sweetie - he helped us decide on what to order. The front area sells some cute things but not many things had prices on them. Too bad, we would have bought some stuff. And I don't love that some of the menus were dirty with food. Let me start off by saying that the food and drinks here were really good. The patio is so cute and I loved all the things in the market! Very cute set up. The reason I gave a 3 is based on our experience. I made a reservation for 8 people at 2:30pm on Sunday. I made the reservation 3 weeks in advance. We noticed a few days before our lunch that the closing time was listed as 3pm so we called to confirm that our brunch for 8 people was still fine for 2:30 since they take reservations till 2:45. We were reassured it was totally fine. We arrived for brunch and were sat at 2:38pm. Nearly the moment we sat down we were asked to place our food orders as the kitchen closed at 3. We asked if we can still order drinks after 3 and the bartender was kind enough to do so. We felt like we were being rushed out which was a disappointment since it was a birthday brunch and we didn't even get to do the birthday dessert. What a cute restaurant! It is in an adorable courtyard with other stores there as well. They have such a beautiful outdoor patio and it's such a great space. Inside there's a little market selling cute items. I had the steak and eggs and it was delicious! I also had a sweet potato pancake à la cart. Also excellent my friend had a breakfast scramble and a couple of lattes and a pastry. Get there early as it fills up pretty quickly, especially on a Sunday. We got there right when they opened. 01/10/2026 My friend saw this place on Instagram and sent it to me. It looked really cute, but what really got me was the Sweet Potato Pancakes. So we made a reservation for Friday 9:00AM. It's located in a shopping plaza called The Frederick. It already looks so cute on the exterior with the green patio furniture and large wooden double doors. You enter through their market first which had cute merchandise, gifts, and kitchen things, as well as a coffee bar with pastries. There was a host stand right where the market meets the main dining area. FOOD I got the Sweet Potato Pancakes and Two Eggs to Order for some protein. My friend got the Yeast Raised Waffle and scrambled eggs as well. They had some seasonal coffee and matcha drinks, but we didn't try any, as we were planning to go somewhere else afterward for caffeine. The pancakes barely had a hint of sweetness, which surprised me since it didn't come with syrup or any sweetener. The whipped peach butter was pretty good, but I'm not a butter on pancakes kind of gal. My friend did not like the texture of her waffle. It was dry and not chewy - maybe that's just how yeast raised waffles are? She did say the waffle, lemon mascarpone, and fresh strawberry paired nicely together. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. Overall, I liked the market and aesthetic of the entire place, but the food was underwhelming. I would give it 3.5/5 stars. Also, there was plenty of parking in the back when we got there at 9AM, but it was full when we left around 10:30AM. We parked in the first row, and it was difficult getting out. Recent visit was a little hit and miss. Hot lattes and cappuccinos initially came out lukewarm, and had to be remade to be hot. Our waiter was sweet, but it seemed that he was the only one working the entire room, which may have led to some of the issues we encountered. Parking is convenient in the back, though fair warning, it shares space with neighboring businesses, so weekends can get a bit busy (but the other shops are 100% worth a peek too! You can get cookies, or coffee, or browse through unique clothing stores before/after your meal.) Food was delicious. I'm a vegetarian, and they kindly swapped avocado in for meat, such a thoughtful touch. Paired my breakfast with a cup of ginger-mint tea that was perfect. Came here after a Pilates class with a friend to catch up and so glad we chose this place! We made a reservation for noon which might not have been necessary on any other day, but with the rain and patio unable to be used, it definitely was helpful in getting us seated quickly. On a cool fall/winter day, the outside would definitely be the way to go! The service was great! The waiters were attentive and also gave us time to eat and talk. We never felt rushed or like we were forgotten. As for the food... please get the sweet potato pancakes while they are in season!!! It was so good! Dear Restaurant Manager, I am writing to make you aware of the experience my party and I had at your restaurant today. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences we have had, and I feel management should know what occurred. Our server was Tanner. From the beginning of our meal, she was largely inattentive to our table. Not once did she check on us to see if we needed anything, ask how our food was, or ask if we wanted anything else. We were left without drinks for a significant portion of our meal, and I eventually had to wave her down myself just to ask for another slice of sourdough bread. When we were finished eating, we sat for quite some time waiting for her to return. I eventually had to wave her down again just to get our check. The situation became even more concerning when the check arrived. The total was considerably higher than we expected, so I asked to review the charges. I noticed that Tanner had entered a tip herself. I did not authorize or add a tip, particularly given the level of service we received. What was especially frustrating was seeing how attentive and engaged Tanner was with the other tables around us while our table was consistently overlooked. That difference in treatment was noticeable. As a Mexican family, it honestly left us questioning whether our treatment had anything to do with our ethnicity. I am not making that accusation lightly, but the experience made us uncomfortable enough that I feel it needs to be addressed. I did not leave a tip because of the service we received. I believe Tanner needs additional training on basic guest service and proper handling of checks and tips. A server should not enter a tip on a customer's behalf without authorization. We chose your restaurant expecting to have a good experience, and unfortunately, we left feeling ignored and treated differently from the guests around us. This is is upscale brunch spot was perfect for a recent girl's get-together. There was both inside and outside seating, they were easy to work with to set up a table for 10. The menu had the perfect amount of options and the ingredients were so fresh. Our waitress so so patient and timely, she went above and beyond for our party. First of all, I had no idea this place existed. A friend of mine recommended Lydia's. On the way there if you blink, you can totally drive by this and miss it. Lydia's sits inside a very cute cluster of stores which included some retail, coffee shop, and pastry shop. Entry into the restaurant is through a retail area which comprised of some very cool kitchen ware items. The restaurant looks like someone's house with an exterior patio with multiple fireplaces. They only serve breakfast and lunch and closes by 3pm. I had an incredible sweet potato pancake with candied pecans and my friend had what he christened the best chicken sandwich he's ever had. Lydia fit right in to the vibe of the Fred. We were told it was a 40 minute wait, but it turned out to be nearly 2 hours. Not too bad though, considering Berdena's Coffee was around the corner and some of our favorite shops. The storefront had an amazing curation of home goods, too! Super disappointed in the service. I've been to Lydia's 3 times and 2 of those times have resulted in me leaving unsatisfied due to their service. I stopped in on the Wednesday before Father's Day to make a reservation and was told that they've stopped doing reservations (this was after coming in prior and being unable to be seated due to not having a reservation -- mind you there were empty tables EVERYWHERE) I checked with 2 people since I thought this was odd given how committed to reservations they had been in the past. They confirmed that they had stopped doing it and I yet again clarified it was for Father's Day. Lo and behold I come at 9a right when they open on Father's Day and wouldn't you know it.... They aren't seating anyone without a reservation until after noon... They dismissed my experience. The whole interaction was very off putting and rude. Food is fine, but honestly if there were more brunch options around this area I would've never come back after the first disappointing experience. Now I definitely won't be back due to the poor customer service, pretentious attitudes and lack of accountability in poor communication situations. Was really excited for this place to open! It couldn't be any cuter, I love the concept of the little market/store at the front with a to go bakery. And an adorable restaurant in the back! Truly not a detail was missed when in come to the decor, light fixtures, fabrics, patterns. Whoever designed it did a phenomenal job! I am excited to see how the patio livens up the Fred once it isn't so hot out!! All that being said the service and the food didn't really blow me away. We had to ask for things like straws, silverware, an extra plate multiple times before receiving and it wasn't super busy only a few other tables on a Friday afternoon. And the food was okay, we split the chicken sandwich and it tasted really fresh! No weird chicken bites which I'm always thankful for. Do show up expecting a wait time this place gets busy during brunch. We found parking rather quickly, but the parking area is a bit small, so expect it to fill up fast. The restaurant itself has a lot of cute decor, and the added market and coffee shop inside are a nice bonus. Emily was our server, and she truly took the time to make our party feel special.
