Great casual Mediterranean food restaurant in DTLA. Very reasonable prices for good size portions. They make the food fresh to order so it might be a little wait but I would rather know that the food is fresh. Portions are large. My friend and I ordered the Greek fries, individual platter (great appetizer if you want to try a little of everything), and the Rosemary Special entree which comes with chicken, beef koobideh and lamb chops. We had way too much food for the two of us and had plenty leftover but it was all really good. Great presentation too. My favorite was the beef koobideh and the Greek fries. The chicken was also really juicy! Even though we ordered so much food, we still wanted to get some dessert too so of course we tried the baklava which was standard. Next time I want to try the tiramisu and also the yogurt soda. Parking is limited to street parking because it's downtown LA but that's expected. I saw this place listed on a recent DTLA write-up and looking for something new to try for lunch I checked it out. I walked in at 11:30 and it was a ghost town. I was worried it was a sign. But luckily I placed an order and had a seat. I got the lamb gyro wrap by it's lonesome (an extra $2 for fries). Came with a small hummus and garlic sauce. Can I say, Yummy? Food is okay. Beats a lot of local spots. Portions are huge hence the cost. Mark up is insane for how low priced the ingredients are. It is fresh so that's always a plus. I picked up beef kebab plate. The 1.5oz of hummus is kind of sad. The best tasting item in the plate. Wish they can provide that as a side instead of their prepackaged garden salad. (They use a simple bagged spring mix with a few slices of cucumbers and tomatoes). Bit of a let down. The beef needed more seasoning as well. It was underwhelming. Just lacked that "Mmmmm" but was NOT DRY!! (A lot of places serve dry protein or overcooked) The garlic sauce was strong. Lots of raw garlic so take it easy unless you're into that. The charred veg was typical. Nothing special but did help cover the under seasoned beef. My only complaint is the packaging. Who the fuck uses aluminum for a to go order? What, you think your guest do not want a hot ass meal? They will want to nuke the plate in a microwave. You'd have to transfer everything into a microwave safe container. A bit of an inconvenience if you ask me. Aside from the packaging though, I'd recommend this place for any app delivery or to go. I ordered the lunch special chicken shawarma plate for $14.99 and it was absolutely delicious with salad, pita, chicken and rice, and sides of garlic sauce and hummus. The chicken was cut into cubes instead of being sliced, but still well-seasoned and juicy. I also really enjoyed the garlic sauce and hummus - I usually dip pita into sauces or mix in with rice. Chicken was covered with foil to keep warm and separated from the side dish. I normally don't like chicken breast because it is too dry. Not this, it is tender, juicy and tasty. The salad was fresh with slices of tomato and cucumber with dressing on the side. Garlic sauce, normally I don't use it because I don't like raw minced garlic. I gave it a try since it looked different from other places I had ordered. It's surprisingly good with fries and chicken. Hummus is in a small sauce container. I've been to Rosemary's grill 3 times prior to this experience. Today I went in for lunch, I ordered a combo kebab plate (about $23 with taxes). I placed my order to go and asked the lady if I can get some hot sauce and chili peppers on the side, she charged me a $1 as "custom item" for some chili peppers. This is the first time I've ever been charged for that. To think that your plate doesn't come with some chili peppers is actually ridiculous. The order was supposed to take 15 minutes as the lady let me know when I placed it. It actually took about 25 mins. There was no consideration for my wait time. When my order was finally ready, she didn't put any chili peppers in my bag. I reminded her I ordered those and then she gave me 3 chili peppers. For a $1?! I asked her for some more letting her know she charged me for them. She gave push back stating that's all the order comes with. Huh? I just waited an extra 10 mins for my order, you've never charged me for chili peppers before, it's shown up as a "custom item" on my receipt, and now you're telling me I only get 3 little peppers for a $1?
